House passes public media, foreign aid clawbacks after Epstein scramble

Six months into Donald Trump’s presidency, Congress finally codified a small piece of the hundreds of billions of dollars his Department of Government Efficiency pinpointed as “waste.”

House Republicans gave final approval just after midnight Friday to Trump’s proposal to claw back $9 billion in public media and foreign assistance, greenlighting the Senate’s changes to the measure that will bake in proposed DOGE cuts to public media and foreign aid. The package now heads to the president’s desk.

House Republicans Pushing New Amnesty Bill Have Stabbed Conservatives In The Back

Conservatives supported the Big Beautiful Bill on the promise that it would kick deportations and border enforcement into overdrive, and less than two weeks later Republicans have stabbed them in the back with an amnesty bill.

On Tuesday, Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar, R-Fla., reintroduced the DIGNITY Act alongside a cadre of fellow Republicans as well as Democrats. Her office couched the legislation in words like “dignity” and “opportunity,” saying it will allow “certain long-term undocumented immigrants to earn legal status, without amnesty or a path to citizenship.”

(POLL) Majority say keeping illegal immigrants off benefits is important

A strong majority of voters say it’s important to keep illegal immigrants from accessing taxpayer-funded programs like Medicaid and food stamps.

According to a new Rasmussen Reports survey, 72% of likely voters say they believe preventing illegal immigrants from receiving government benefits is important, including 48% who say it’s very important. Only 25% say it isn’t important.

The White House recently announced efforts to remove illegal immigrants from benefit rolls. Still, only 45% of voters say they believe the government is doing enough. Thirty-seven percent say the government is not doing enough, and 18% are unsure.

President Donald Trump said he will sue the Wall Street Journal and its owner, Rupert Murdoch, for publishing a story about the president, who wrote a birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein, saying they have “certain things in common.”

Trump wrote in a Truth Social post that Murdoch said he would “take care” of the story, which described a letter the president allegedly wrote to Epstein, who would later be convicted of sex trafficking, inside a drawing of a nude woman, “but, obviously, did not have the power to do so.”

Hegseth Apologizes for Army Calling Pro-Life Americans “Terrorists” During Biden Era

After the outrageous revelation that Army trainees at Fort Bragg (then Fort Liberty) were instructed that pro-life Americans were domestic terrorists, and that our client Operation Rescue was expressly named and its logo pictured prominently on a “TERROR AWARENESS” training slide presentation under the title “TERRORIST GROUPS,” we went to work.

After months of effort, we are pleased to announce that President Trump’s new leadership of America’s mighty military has done what the Biden Administration refused to do: condemn the training, acknowledge that it caused harm, apologize for it, and assure us that it will not happen again under their watch.

“During the meeting, the Holy Father renewed his appeals for renewed impetus to negotiations and for a ceasefire and an end to the war. On a visit to Ukraine, Bishop Mariano Crociata of Latina-Terracina-Sezze-Priverno (Italy), the president of COMECE, said that “we do not yet know exactly what happened, but I can say that such acts renew our sorrow at the spread of violence and compel us to reaffirm, with strength, our firm opposition to every form of war and armed conflict.”

Catholics for Catholics weigh in on Gaza strike of Catholic Church

Some Bishops in America have removed the obligation for illegal migrants to fulfill the 3rd Commandment and attend Sunday Mass for fear of ICE performing their just duties … It may be good to consider the following: In the face of death, the local ordinary in Gaza still requires the faithful to attend Sunday Mass as he correctly understands the need for his flock to be fed spiritually from the Eucharist …

Surrogacy Scandal Puts 21 Children and Infants in Danger

Over 20 children removed from a home in the Los Angeles suburb of Arcadia were the latest victims of IVF and surrogate reproductive technologies in a case now being investigated by the FBI. The legal guardians of the 21 children, Siliva Zhang and Guojun Xuan, have been arrested on charges of child abuse and neglect, and are allegedly under investigation for a large-scale crime ring. The consequences of their twisted surrogacy practices are still unclear.

Arcadia police were alerted to the potential crimes when a 2-month-old baby was brought into the hospital for severe injuries and seizures. Afterwards, police obtained a search warrant; via security footage, they discovered that 15 children were emotionally and physically abused by six different nannies at the house, which was set up as a school.

Victor Davis Hanson: The Illegal, Democrat-Linked Pot Farm the Left Wants You to Ignore

“ This raid typified or exemplified or was emblematic of all the strange things that are going on with illegal immigration. First of all, this was a very liberal owner. He was a campaign donor to Gavin Newsom. Gave him over $10,000. He’s given to the DNC. And yet, ICE went out there because they had news that not only were there over 350 people there who were illegally openly working in violation of immigration law, but there were minors.  And yet, the Left thinks that this is going to be a legitimate protest movement with popularity or favorability among the California or, indeed, the United States public. I don’t think that’s going to happen.”

China Steps Up Persecution of Christians As Pope Leo Sticks with Secret Vatican Deal

Communist China is intensifying its crackdown on Chinese Catholics who conscientiously object to a pact between Rome and Beijing. Meanwhile, Pope Leo XIV shows no signs of ending the clandestine deal Pope Francis struck with China in 2018.

The conscientious objectors are part of the underground Catholic Church, which remains loyal to the Vatican despite its concordat with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Critics have slammed that as a betrayal of faithful Catholics and an appeasement of the Communist regime.

Polish government lodges Vatican protest over bishops’ [anti-]migration remarks

Adam Kwiatkowski, Poland’s ambassador to the Holy See, delivered a diplomatic note July 15 to Msgr. Javier Domingo Fernández González, the Vatican Secretariat of State’s head of protocol. The Vatican has not commented publicly on the development.

The note expressed “deep outrage” at recent comments by retired bishops Antoni Długosz and Wiesław Mering, amid tensions following neighboring Germany’s decision to adopt a stricter migration policy and return a significant number of undocumented migrants to Poland each month.

Poland’s government formally complained to the Vatican Tuesday over two bishops’ comments on migration, plunging Polish Church-state relations to their lowest level for years.

Premier Scott Moe of Saskatchewan has consistently stated that his government does not support separation from Canada. However, he has also voiced strong frustration with federal policies that he believes unfairly target Saskatchewan and western Canada.

Premier Danielle Smith of Alberta has stated her personal support for a “sovereign Alberta within a united Canada” and not for outright separation, but her government has taken steps to make it easier for citizens to call for a referendum on separation.
