Pope renews his deep sorrow for murderous attack on Catholic worshippers in DRC
“I renew my deep sorrow for the brutal terrorist attack that took place during the night of July 26 to 27 in Komanda, in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where more than forty Christians were killed in church during a prayer vigil and in their own homes.”
Pope Leo XIV made the remarks during his Wednesday General Audience in St. Peter’s Square, the Pope’s first General Audience since his summer break. In his appeal, he decried the deadly attack on the Parish of Blessed Anuarite in Komanda, in the country’s Ituri province.

Vatican hardens tone on Israel after Gaza parish strike
An Israeli army strike on the only Catholic church in Gaza last week has pushed the Vatican to change its tone on Israel and blame it more directly in the dragging war – a break from its traditional diplomacy strategy.
The strike killed three people in the Holy Family Church in the centre of Gaza City – prompting condemnation by politicians and by religious leaders of various denominations.

Trump said US ‘will be helping’ distribute food aid in Gaza
President Donald Trump said the United States will step up efforts to provide food to Gaza, a day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed there was “no starvation in Gaza.”
Trump made the comments Monday during a joint appearance with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Turnberry, Scotland. He acknowledged the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, describing harrowing scenes of children suffering from starvation and pledging increased US involvement in delivering food aid.
“It’s going to be working where the United States will be helping with the food. You know, we have a lot of access to food; we got a lot of food ourselves, and we’re going to bring it over there. We’re also going to make sure that they don’t have barriers stopping people,” Trump said.

Tide shifts against Israel over images of starving children in Gaza
The United States’s long-standing support for Israel is showing some limits as graphic images and reports of starving and emaciated children dying from hunger in Gaza have shifted public sentiment.
In recent days, President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and other world leaders have called attention to the lack of food in the war-torn Hamas-controlled strip, with the president himself remarking on the graphic images in his public disagreement with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over whether starvation is occurring.

Opinion: Mamdani’s cop-hating agenda speaks louder than his hollow words after horrific NYC shooting
Sensible New Yorkers didn’t need yet another reason to vote against Zohran Mamdani for mayor, but Monday’s horrific Midtown slaughter provided a clear illustration of why the radical Democrat must not win the keys to City Hall.
Mamdani is in Uganda celebrating his wedding, but his initial statement on X about the bloodbath on Park Avenue rings hollow given his past smears of the NYPD and repeated calls to “defund the police.”
“I’m heartbroken to learn of the horrific shooting in midtown and I am holding the victims, their families, and the NYPD officer in critical condition in my thoughts,” Mamdani posted on X late Monday.
“Grateful for all of our first responders on the ground.”

The gates of the bustling, private compound, which sits in the wealthy Buziga Hill area outside the capital city of Kampala, were heavily guarded by military-style, masked men this week, with guests streaming in and partying until midnight, according to sources in the town who wished to remain anonymous for security reasons.

Elon Musk To Cincinnati Police Chief: Clarify “Missing Context” Or Resign
Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge told reporters on Monday that social media users and journalists are “missing context” by shining the spotlight on viral footage of a Black mob attacking White jazz festival partygoers in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. This is the same police chief currently being sued for discrimination, allegedly favoring women and minorities over merit-based criteria when making assignment decisions.
Footage from early Saturday morning shows a Black mob brutally beating a White man and woman in a downtown Cincinnati neighborhood. The video has since gone viral on X, prompting reactions from Elon Musk and Vice President J.D. Vance.

Senate confirms Trump nominee after months of Democratic delays
Sam Brown, an Army veteran and former Nevada GOP Senate candidate, was confirmed by the Senate to be Trump’s Veteran’s Affairs undersecretary for memorial affairs. The 54-44 vote was largely a partisan affair, save for Nevada’s Democratic Sens. Catherine Cortez Masto and Jackie Rosen, who both crossed the aisle to vote for Brown’s confirmation.
The undersecretary for memorial affairs oversees the National Cemetery Administration, which operates and maintains over 150 national cemeteries. National cemeteries across the country have roughly 4 million veterans interred in their grounds, according to the VA.

Trump calls on Grassley to buck ‘blue slip’ and expedite confirmation of his appointees
President Donald Trump on Tuesday pressured Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) to scrap the “blue slip” tradition and push through his judicial nominees.
The president fumed over the Democratic Party’s ability to block his “Highly Qualified Judges and U.S. Attorneys” through the blue slip tradition, in a post on Truth Social. …
“Democrats like Schumer, Warner, Kaine, Booker, Schiff, and others, SLEAZEBAGS ALL, have an ironclad stoppage of Great Republican Candidates. Put simply, the President of the United States will never be permitted to appoint the person of his choice because of an ancient, and probably Unconstitutional, ‘CUSTOM,’ that if you have, even one person in the opposite Party serving in the U.S. Senate, he/she must give consent, thereby completely stopping the opposite Party’s Nomination,” Trump wrote.

Cdl. Pell ordered investigation into ‘potentially illegal’ APSA banking system, flagged a system to hide the ‘true owner’ in international transfers in 2016
Cardinal George Pell instructed the Vatican’s auditor general to conduct an “urgent and immediate” investigation into “potentially illegal” banking transactions by APSA, the Holy See’s asset manager and paymaster, in a 2016 memo obtained by The Pillar.
The memo, dated April 8, 2016, when Pell was the prefect of the Vatican’s Secretariat for the Economy, said that the cardinal had discovered a means by which APSA could alter financial records to “shield the true identity of owner/source of funds” in the SWIFT system, which records international banking transactions.

Vatican reports good profit on investments and real estate as the pope tackles a financial crisis
The office that manages Vatican investments and real estate on Monday reported a profit of 62 million euros (around $63 million) in 2024, up 16 million euros from 2023. It’s one of the best results in years and a bit of good news as Pope Leo XIV begins to tackle the Holy See’s longstanding financial crisis.
In its 2024 report, the Administration of the Patrimony of the Apostolic See, or APSA, said it had directed 46 million euros of the profit to fund the Holy See’s operating costs. Some 10.5 million euros in profit came from good returns on investments, while its real estate profits equaled its 2023 results, the report said.

Planned Parenthood launches pathetic ‘bros for repo’ campaign
Planned Parenthood regularly tries to gender shame men into silence when it comes to abortion, unless those men support abortion violence. If you’re “bro-choice”, be proud! Be an “ally” to women! Or so goes the propaganda.
Of course, it doesn’t involve men stepping up to responsibility or helping to provide financial or emotional support or protecting vulnerable women from a business that profits from exploitation. Nope. Planned Parenthood’s idea of “allyship” is simply men cheering on abortion and doing nothing to stop the destruction of the life that they or other fathers have helped to procreate.

Child Abuse With a Prescription Label – How big pharma is quietly reprogramming our children
The American Academy of Pediatrics lit the fuse in 2023. Their recommendation to use GLP-1 weight-loss drugs in children and adolescents wasn’t just a nod to pharmaceutical innovation — it was a signal flare to industry, a green light to experiment on the developing brain. And experiment they did. A review of more than 310,000 patient records reveals the consequences: a 65 percent surge in prescriptions. Some might call this progress. They’re wrong. This is mass chemical intervention dressed up in a lab coat.
Before the guidelines, semaglutide — a compound found in drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy — was prescribed to just 2.5 percent of young patients. Afterward? Nearly 27 percent. That’s a tenfold leap. Not a cautious rollout. A gold rush. Pediatricians, parents, and policymakers have quietly signed off on the neurological reprogramming of an entire generation. And the worst part is that no one really knows what’s coming next.

Rising Popularity Of Rent-A-Womb Industry Emboldens Pedophiles To Buy Proximity To Kids
Surrogacy is problematic for a whole host of reasons. It makes procreation and pregnancy transactional, creates morally and ethically reprehensible conundrums, hurts women and babies, has strong overlap with human trafficking, and reeks of corruption.
Arguably, the most alarming consequence that comes from the increasingly popular practice of renting wombs, however, is that surrogacy can be easily exploited by pedophiles and abusers to gain proximity to children.

How Twisting the Truth Can Lead to National Destruction
Making things up instead of getting the facts straight seems to have permeated the once-noble field of journalism. Now it appears that we are living in an age of “the facts be damned, full steam ahead” …
[D]uring his first term in office, President Donald Trump was twice dragged through impeachment procedures on manufactured charges associated with being a Russian puppet – and later, more jury-rigged charges emerged. Over the next few years, former President Trump was hauled into court(s) again and again for various grievances – including a decades-old sexual assault claim that perfectly matched a TV show plot, and allegedly perpetrating some kind of real-estate fraud that had no victims. …
If left unchecked, [such] nefarious elements embedded in the nation’s lifeblood could spell very dark and destructive times ahead. …
In the meantime, those who not only love the Holy and Righteous God who influenced and established this country from its conception must pray …
