Trump signs executive order to improve foster care
In line with First Lady Melania Trump’s efforts to improve the foster care system, the president signed an executive order Thursday to better support foster children, those aging out of the system, caseworkers and foster families. …
The order establishes a “Fostering the Future” initiative to develop partnerships between the government and leading private sector organizations, schools and colleges, and non-profits to help children aging out of foster care create a life they want – whether by pursuing a degree or entering the workforce. It also “increases flexibility in Education and Training Vouchers for short-term, career-focused programs and facilitates tax-credit scholarships for foster children,” according to a White House summary.

Jordan opens probe into Virginia prosecutor allegedly ignoring threats against Stephen Miller
House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan on Thursday notified a Virginia prosecutor that his committee is investigating allegations she ignored threats that were made against White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller.
Jordan highlighted allegations that left-wing activist Barbara Wien potentially violated state and federal anti-doxing laws by posting flyers in Arlington, Virginia, last month that depicted Miller’s face and address. She has also been accused of attempting to intimidate Miller’s wife at their Virginian home.

Feds On Hunt For Man Who Attacked Trump Official Alina Habba’s Office With A Bat
The Department of Justice is on the search for a man who it says attacked U.S. attorney Alina Habba’s office, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced on Thursday afternoon.
Bondi announced on Thursday that an individual attempted to confront Alina Habba, the U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey, then “destroyed property in her office” and “fled the scene.” Habba, who previously served as a spokeswoman and personal lawyer for President Donald Trump, is one of the most high-profile figures in the Department of Justice.
That individual entered the building with a bat around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, a source close to Habba told The Daily Wire, and then proceeded to the seventh floor.
“Thankfully, Alina is ok,” said Bondi. “Any violence or threats of violence against any federal officer will not be tolerated. Period. This is unfortunately becoming a trend as radicals continue to attack law enforcement agents around the country.”

Trump admin designates foreign Antifa groups as terrorist orgs – The designation comes after Antifa-linked militants also targeted a Turning Point USA event taking place at UC Berkeley in California
The State Department has designated multiple Antifa groups in Europe as foreign terrorist organizations. This will be the first time that Antifa groups will formally be designated as a foreign terrorist organization. The designation will be applied to multiple major Antifa cells in different European countries.
The designation was made official on Thursday, per journalist Julio Rosas, who was told by a State Department spokesman, “The anarchists, Marxists, and violent extremists of Antifa have waged a terror campaign in the United States and across the Western world for decades, carrying out bombings, beatings, shootings, and riots in service of their extreme agenda. The State Department is committed to identifying and dismantling these terror networks that conspire to ruthlessly suppress the will of the people and violently undermine the very foundations of the United States and Western Civilization.”

Republican Senator Has a Plan to Stop Foreigners From Abusing Surrogacy for US Citizenship Purposes
China and other foreign adversaries are abusing American birthright citizenship to have American children through surrogacy. But one Republican senator has a plan to criminalize the growing surrogacy industry for foreigners.
Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., recently introduced a bill called the Stopping Adversarial Foreign Exploitation of Kids in Domestic Surrogacy (SAFE KIDS) Act that would prevent adversarial nations, specifically China, from using and taking advantage of American women to obtain U.S. citizenship for their child.
“[Surrogacy] should never be the avenue to allow abuse, neglect, or deceit of innocent women and babies,” Sen. Rick Scott said in a press release. “And it’s terrifying that this might be at the hands of foreign adversaries with the sole intent of having a child that is a U.S. citizen.”

U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean P. Duffy announced today that the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has admitted to illegally issuing 17,000 non-domiciled Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDLs) to dangerous foreign drivers. Thanks to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) ongoing audit, each of these licenses is being revoked.
“After weeks of claiming they did nothing wrong, Gavin Newsom and California have been caught red-handed. Now that we’ve exposed their lies, 17,000 illegally issued trucking licenses are being revoked,” said U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy. “This is just the tip of the iceberg. My team will continue to force California to prove they have removed every illegal immigrant from behind the wheel of semitrucks and school buses.”
Notices have been issued to the 17,000 non-domiciled CDL holders that their license no longer meets federal requirements and will expire in 60 days. FMCSA requires California to provide its full audit of all its non-domiciled CDLs so the agency can verify that every illegally issued license has been revoked and that the failures that allowed these licenses to be issued are corrected.

Border Commander Gregory Bovino issued a warning after a radical Biden judge demanded the release of more than 600 illegal aliens in Chicago.
As TGP previously reported, Biden-appointed U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Cummings announced Wednesday that he plans to grant bond to hundreds of illegal aliens detained during ICE’s “Operation Midway Blitz,” a crucial crackdown on criminal migrants and repeat border jumpers.
Judge Cummings ruled Wednesday that the illegal alien invaders could walk free on a measly $1,500 bond as long as they lack a prior criminal rap sheet or deportation order.
The radical judge’s decision to grant bond to hundreds of illegals comes as Border Patrol agents in Chicago were shot at by a criminal illegal alien from Mexico.

US Bishops to immigrants: We stand with you in your suffering
Invoking a “particularly urgent way of speaking as a body of bishops”, the US Bishops’ Conference has issued a “Special Message” addressing their “concern for the evolving situation impacting immigrants in the United States.
It is the first Special Message released by the bishops since “a similar communication in 2013, published in response to the federal government’s contraceptive mandate. Such Messages can only be issued at the Conference’s plenary assemblies, and then only with the approval of two-thirds of those bishops present and voting at the Assembly. The current Message passed with almost 97% in favour, and only five bishops voting against the measure.
The Special Message assures immigrants that they are not alone, with the Bishops saying they “stand with you in your suffering.” The very beginning of the letter highlights the Bishops’ concerns about immigrants living in “a climate of fear and anxiety”, the current state of the debate over immigration, including the “vilification” of immigrants, conditions in detention centres, lack of access to pastoral care, and other attacks on the dignity of immigrants.

U.S. Catholic Bishops Ban ‘Gender-Affirming Care’ at Catholic Hospitals, Health Centers
Catholic bishops voted Wednesday to ban “gender-affirming care” from Catholic hospitals in the United States, formalizing the Church’s opposition to hormonal and surgical procedures intended to change an individual’s outward appearance to resemble that of the opposite sex.
The bishops met in a Baltimore hotel to vote on revisions to the Church’s “Ethical and Religious Directives.” The group overwhelmingly voted in favor of prohibiting “gender-affirming” operations and procedures from Catholic hospitals and health care facilities, officially cementing the Church’s stance.
Previously, the Catholic Church implemented related doctrine on transgender issues and “gender-affirming care” in its 2023 “Moral Limits to the Technological Manipulation of the Human Body” directive. Wednesday’s vote formalizes the position detailed in that guidance. Notably, individual bishops must implement these directives within their respective dioceses.

Pope warns against ‘premature, unlimited, and unsupervised digital access’ for the young
Editor’s Note: Addressing participants in a meeting organized by the Foundation for the Study and Research on Childhood and Adolescence, Pope Leo XIV warned against granting “premature, unlimited, and unsupervised digital access” to young people.
“Children and adolescents are particularly vulnerable to manipulation through AI algorithms that can influence their decisions and preferences,” Pope Leo said during the audience, which took place yesterday in Clementine Hall of the Apostolic Palace. “It is essential that parents and educators be aware of these dynamics, and that tools be developed to monitor and guide young people’s interactions with technology.”
“It is indeed important to draft and enforce ethical guidelines, but that is not enough,” the Pope added, as he called for “daily, ongoing educational efforts … Only by taking an educational, ethical and responsible approach can we ensure that artificial intelligence serves as an ally, and not a threat, in the growth and development of children and adolescents.”
