Trump tries to quell GOP rebellion against funding deal over SAVE Act: ‘NO CHANGES’
President Donald Trump is calling on the House to pass the government funding deal without any changes, a blow to conservatives who were pushing to attach legislation requiring proof of citizenship to vote.
In a post to Truth Social, Trump said he will work with Democrats and Republicans in “good faith” to “address the issues that have been raised,” but a prolonged government shutdown would be “pointless and destructive.”
“There can be NO CHANGES at this time,” the president wrote.
Trump’s comments come as a handful of House Republicans, led by Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, have threatened to hold up the voting schedule, or even sink the funding deal, if the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act is not attached to the package.
Luna said last week that she would be a “hard no” against any funding legislation, and she had enough votes to “shut down the floor of the House,” unless the SAVE Act was included.

Noem Orders Body Cams for Officers in Minneapolis
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced Monday that body-worn cameras will be used by all federal law enforcement officers in the field in Minneapolis.
The move is a major shift in transparency amid intense scrutiny of recent immigration enforcement operations.
Noem wrote on X that she spoke with Tom Homan, who is overseeing DHS operations in Minneapolis, acting ICE Director Todd Lyons, and Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott.
“Effective immediately we are deploying body cameras to every officer in the field in Minneapolis,” Noem wrote, adding that as funding becomes available, the body camera program “will be expanded nationwide.”

Federal agents arrest 2 more in connection to Minnesota church storming
Bondi identified the suspects as Ian Davis Austin and Jerome Deangelo Richardson and said the arrests stem from a “coordinated attack on Cities Church” on Jan. 18. A total of nine individuals have now been charged in connection with the protest at the Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, where an ICE official serves as a pastor.
The other individuals involved have been charged with conspiring to violate someone’s constitutional rights and with violations of the FACE Act, the 1994 law that prohibits the use of force, intimidation, or obstruction to deliberately “injure, intimidate, or interfere” with an individual’s ability to exercise their right to religious freedom at a place of worship. The two additional individuals are expected to face the same charges.
“If you riot in a place of worship, we WILL find you,” Bondi said on X.

Detransitioner wins $2 million against New York docs who pushed double mastectomy
A 22-year-old woman who identified as a boy in her teen years won a $2 million decision in a landmark lawsuit against New York doctors accused of pushing a double mastectomy on her when she was a minor.
Fox Varian had the life-altering surgery when she was just 16-years-old — getting approval from a psychologist and a surgeon — both of whom a jury found liable of medical malpractice on Jan. 30, The Epoch Times reported.
Varian, now 22 and considered a “detransitioner,” was awarded $1.6 million for past and future pain and suffering, and an additional $400,000 for future medical expenses — in the first detransitioner malpractice lawsuit in the nation to go to trial and win. …
All told, 28 detransitioner lawsuits are now in different stages of legal proceedings across the US.
