Still Irked by Iran Snub, Trump Blasts NATO After Private Rutte Meeting

President Donald Trump bashed NATO and appeared to renew his threats over Greenland after a closed-door meeting with alliance chief Mark Rutte, during which he was expected to discuss possibly leaving the pivotal security bloc.

Trump’s outrage at NATO allies over their failure to join in his war against Iran had prompted fears he would seek to pull the United States out of the nearly eight-decade-old alliance.

However, in his first remarks after the meeting, he simply reiterated his frustration.

Global leaders praise Iran ceasefire news, but say Trump’s threats were ‘unacceptable’

World leaders expressed relief at the ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran, though President Donald Trump’s pre-ceasefire threat that “a whole civilization will die tonight” if an agreement wasn’t reached was deemed “unacceptable.”

London’s The Guardian said the world took “a step back from the brink” and several leaders expressed hope that a diplomatic end to the five-week old conflict could be reached before the two-week ceasefire expires.

“We must do all we can to support and sustain this ceasefire [and] turn it into a lasting agreement,” U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer said via social media. …

Trump threatens ‘bigger, and better, and stronger’ military response if Iran doesn’t comply with deal — or else ‘shootin’ starts’

President Trump threatened to unleash a “bigger, and better, and stronger” military assault on Iran Wednesday if the regime doesn’t live up to its end of a peace bargain.

Trump, in a late night Truth Social post, confirmed that the US forces he surged to the Middle East will remain there until Tehran fully complies with a deal.

“All US Ships, Aircraft, and Military Personnel, with additional Ammunition, Weaponry, and anything else that is appropriate and necessary for the lethal prosecution and destruction of an already substantially degraded Enemy, will remain in place in, and around, Iran, until such time as the REAL AGREEMENT reached is fully complied with,” the president wrote.

VP Vance returns to US after campaigning for Viktor Orbán

JD Vance in Hungary

Vice President JD Vance delivered one of the most stunning speeches by a sitting U.S. official on foreign soil in modern history. Standing in Budapest alongside Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Vance didn’t just show up — he threw his full weight behind Orbán’s reelection campaign in front of a roaring crowd. His message was direct and unapologetic: ignore the bureaucrats in Brussels, trust your sovereignty, and go vote for Viktor Orbán. Vance framed the Hungarian election as a battle for Western civilization itself, invoking God, freedom, truth, and national sovereignty in a speech that sounded less like a diplomatic visit and more like a full campaign rally. The crowd erupted. Brussels is furious. And the question now echoing across Europe is simple: has an American VP ever gone this far?

Predictable Hungary Journalism by Rod Dreher

Look, I get it: Western media hate Viktor Orban, and want to see him lose. Dog bites man. Still, having lived for four years in Budapest, it irritates me to see how slanted the US media writing and commentary about Orban’s Hungary is …

Detroit gas giveaway: Vehicles line up for hours for free gas on city’s west side

A free gas giveaway on Detroit’s west side has the road packed with drivers waiting to put some fuel in their tanks.

Big Moe, the owner of an Amoco station on Six Mile and Schaefer, said when he got to work around 3 a.m., there were already vehicles lining up for the giveaway, which started at 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Moe does a free gas giveaway every year, but with prices nearing $4 a gallon in Metro Detroit this year, he feels it’s more important than ever to help people who are struggling with rising costs.

“I’m trying to help people, put some smile on some faces,” he said.

Moe said each driver would get about $20 of free gas. He said 200-250 drivers would be helped.
