Trump tells The Post US-Iran talks “could be happening over next two days“
Additional US-Iran peace talks “could be happening over next two days” in Pakistan’s capital, President Trump told The Post on Tuesday.
In an initial phone interview, Trump had claimed that discussions were “happening, but, you know, a little bit slow” before indicating that a second round of direct negotiations to end the seven-week war would likely happen somewhere in Europe.
About half an hour later, Trump called back with an update.
“You should stay there, really, because something could be happening over the next two days, and we’re more inclined to go there,” he said of Islamabad. “It’s more likely, you know why? Because the field marshal is doing a great job.”

VP Vance Says US-Iran Mistrust Can’t Be Solved Overnight
Vice President JD Vance said on Tuesday there was a lot of mistrust between Washington and Tehran that cannot be resolved overnight, but he added that Iranian negotiators wanted to make a deal and that he felt “very good about where we are.”
Talks to end the Iran war could resume in Pakistan over the next two days, President Donald Trump said on Tuesday, after the collapse of weekend negotiations prompted Washington to impose a blockade on Iranian ports.
A fragile two-week ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran still has a week to run. Vance was involved in the talks last weekend in Pakistan.

California Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell, who until Sunday was running for governor of his state, will now be one of those cautionary tales his party likes to use in claiming that — unlike Republicans — Democrats are too concerned with principles and decency. It’s a pathetic coping front for what really happened with that sick party, which once again is living by the destructive, anti-American standards they’ve tried imposing on everyone else.
A few women in recent days — all anonymous except one — went to some media outlets to accuse Swalwell of sexual misconduct, including rape. The lizardly congressman has denied any criminal wrongdoing while also apologizing for “mistakes in judgment I’ve made in my past.” Nevertheless, he suspended his gubernatorial campaign and now faces some pressure to resign from Congress, as well as a criminal investigation in New York.

– all other means of putting an end to it must have been shown to be impractical or ineffective;
– there must be serious prospects of success;
– the use of arms must not produce evils and disorders graver than the evil to be eliminated. the power of modem means of destruction weighs very heavily in evaluating this condition.
These are the traditional elements enumerated in what is called the “just war” doctrine.

Justice Department Reveals the Biden Administration’s Weaponization of Federal Law Against Pro-Life Americans
Today, the Justice Department’s Weaponization Working Group published a report detailing the Biden Administration’s weaponization of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. Based on a review of over 700,000 internal records, the report not only details specific ways the Biden Justice Department weaponized federal law, but also outlines the corrective action taken by the current Justice Department to make right the wrongs of the prior administration.
“This Department will not tolerate a two-tiered system of justice,” said Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. “No Department should conduct selective prosecution based on beliefs. The weaponization that happened under the Biden Administration will not happen again, as we restore integrity to our prosecutorial system.”
President Trump promised to end the weaponization of the federal government. To many Americans, prosecutions under the FACE Act have been the prototypical example of this weaponization. The Justice Department conducted a thorough review of internal discussions, case files, and prosecutorial decisions under the Act and concludes that the Biden DOJ weaponized the FACE Act in several ways.

Biden Worked With Pro-Abortion Groups to Target Pro-Life Americans
Abortion advocacy groups routinely helped the Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) track pro-life activists, providing information that became the basis for indictments, according to a new report.
The DOJ’s National Task Force on Violence Against Reproductive Health Care Providers “affirmatively asked the abortion groups about pro-life individuals’ travel and constitutionally protected advocacy,” according to a Tuesday report on the Biden administration’s “weaponization” of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act.
Former Civil Rights Division trial attorney Sanjay Patel, who served as director of the task force, “was on texting terms with the National Abortion Federation’s (NAF) Security Team and regularly communicated with Planned Parenthood Federation of America and the Feminist Majority Foundation (FMF),” the report reveals.

‘Son of Augustine’: Pope Leo XIV retraces St. Augustine’s steps in Algeria
Pope Leo XIV offered Mass April 14 at the basilica built near the site where St. Augustine died nearly 1,600 years ago, making a deeply personal pilgrimage in the footsteps of St. Augustine in Algeria.
“Here the martyrs prayed; here St. Augustine loved his flock, fervently seeking the truth and serving Christ with ardent faith,” the pope said in his homily, delivered in French. “Be heirs to this tradition, bearing witness through fraternal charity to the freedom of those born from above as a hope of salvation for the world.”
Preaching to hundreds of people inside the Basilica of St. Augustine, the pope, who called himself a “son of Augustine” in his first speech as pope from the loggia of St. Peter’s Basilica, emphasized Augustine’s dramatic conversion from a restless seeker of truth to one of Christianity’s greatest saints.
“We revere him for his conversion even more than for his wisdom,” said Pope Leo, who twice quoted directly from St. Augustine’s autobiography “Confessions.”
