Amid protests at Delaney Hall, a Catholic nun has been offering ‘radical hospitality’
For five days, Delaney Hall, an immigrant detention facility in Newark, New Jersey, has been in the news for protests over conditions inside the facility. After some 300 detainees began a hunger and labor strike over what they said were inhumane conditions, the protests have grown to include members of Congress, such as Sen. Andy Kim and Rep. Robert Menendez, both Democrats from New Jersey.
But for the last year, one woman, Sr. Susan Francois, has volunteered at the “Radical Hospitality” tent outside Delaney Hall, bearing witness and ministering to families and friends visiting detainees. She started coming in May 2025, when there was protest over conditions in front of Delaney Hall, and a New Jersey gubernatorial candidate and a member of Congress were arrested. Graham Platner needs Trump playbook to hang on in Maine by W. James Antle III
Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner is counting on help from an unlikely source to get him elected: President Donald Trump.
Platner was always hoping to ride a wave of anti-Trump anger in the midterm elections on the way to defeating Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), the most liberal and last New England-based Republican in Congress.
The would-be Collins challenger has also run as a Trumpian populist from the Left, in an effort to woo working-class and war-weary voters who have abandoned the Democrats in recent election cycles.
But now, precedents that Trump has set and his examples of how to weather numerous scandals at once will come in handy for Platner in next week’s Democratic primary and possibly all the way to November.
The sexually explicit texts from Platner that dominated headlines over the weekend are just the latest scandal for the Democratic candidate, who has faced scrutiny over past controversial statements and Nazi imagery that was once tattooed on his body.
It has been widely rumored among political operatives in both parties that there is more damaging information coming in the form of opposition research dumps.
Platner was never the Democratic establishment’s first choice to take on Collins, and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) primary pick, Gov.

Because of his viral candidacy, Spencer Pratt did a national media tour where he appeared on Fox News, ABC, NBC, and other legacy outlets, but then he came right back to Los Angeles to continue his campaign in the communities around the city. Unlike Mayor Karen Bass and City Councilwoman Nithya Raman, who are doing pre-programmed events online, or live events with cultivated crowds, Spencer Pratt is going where most politicians don’t even bother to go anymore: to the ‘hood.
On Saturday, Pratt attended a barbecue at Jim Gilliam Recreational Center in the heart of what residents call “The Jungles.” The area, which was featured prominently in the film “Training Day,” is known for its crime, drugs, and gang activity. But two days before the Tuesday, June 2 primary, Pratt is not only hitting it hard, but reaching out to ALL of Los Angeles, not just the “safer” or more presentable parts.
Along with the plight of the dogs and the cats on Skid Row, the residents of the Jungles have pretty much been ignored, even by their own council people. Listen to one resident ask Pratt exactly what he will do differently, and his extremely honest response to her.
Pratt then explained to a local journalist that he didn’t come to deliver talking points or offer answers. He came to listen and discover what the community needed from the Los Angeles mayor.

British Judge Sentences Killer Who Allegedly Cried Racism, Convinced Cops To Handcuff Dying Victim
Vickrum Singh Digwa, 23, received a life sentence with a 21-year minimum on Monday for the murder of 18-year-old Henry Nowak.
Digwa stabbed Nowak to death on Dec. 3, 2025, in Southampton, England, according to Judge William Mousley. When British police arrived at the scene, Digwa allegedly complained of racial abuse, leading officers to handcuff and arrest Nowak as he bled to death. Officers uncuffed him a short time later and attempted CPR, to no avail.

Entities like MLB will either be dominated by what is true, good, and beautiful, or they will succumb to the type of sinful lies parroted during ‘pride month.’
It’s officially June, and you know what that means! Nearly every major corporation, sports team, and institution is trying to out-gay one another to show their fidelity to the LGBT religion as part of the grossly named “Pride Month.”
From Major League Baseball to the Washington Commanders, companies dutifully doused their logos in rainbow colors to show solidarity with “the cause” and appease the wrath of mentally deranged LGBT activists. And naturally, these little paint jobs were accompanied by the dumbest struggle session statements imaginable.
“From the bleachers to the ballfield and everywhere in between … Baseball is for everyone. #Pride,” reads an MLB tweet that includes a picture of its gay-ified logo.
Such rhetoric is ironic as it is stupid. Not only are there no MLB teams denying gay or trans-identifying people access to their games because of their sexual orientation or how they “identify,” but a Washington Nationals executive was just fired after he openly bragged about discriminating against one of the team’s Christian players.

Baby Found Clinging to Dead Mother After Christian Massacre in Nigeria
When the members of a neighboring community reached the site of the massacre, they found dead bodies: men and women shot with AK-47s, hacked with machetes, lying in pools of blood on the dusty ground in front of their homes. Miraculously, one baby survived, strapped to the back of his mother’s corpse. His haunting cries, the sound of ultimate sadness, are something that, once heard, can never be forgotten.
Not three feet away lay a father holding his baby in their final embrace before death. The baby’s eyes were wide open but lifeless as his blood mixed with his father’s in a grotesque puddle, a testament to the inherent hate and violence of The Religion of Peace.
“Fulani Muslim terrorists are slaughtering Christians in Nigeria. This genocide is far worse than the world knows. Entire communities are being wiped out in silence.” Wrote Didier Neza who posted the video on Instagram.
Although this attack happened five years ago, the video has been circulating a great deal recently, serving as a reminder that things have gotten worse, not better, with more and more Christians, including children, killed and abducted each year.

Pope Leo XIV on Monday praised the missionary legacy of Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, the famed American evangelist who will be beatified Sept. 24 in St. Louis, calling him “a light of faith, hope, and love.”
The Pope made his remarks June 1 during an audience with participants in the general assembly of the Pontifical Mission Societies, recalling Sheen’s long service as national director of the societies in the United States.
The Pope noted that this year marks the 100th anniversary of Pope Pius XI’s establishment of the penultimate Sunday of October as World Mission Sunday, a day devoted to “prayer, reflection, and contributing to the Church’s mission of evangelization.”

Relics of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque coming to U.S. for bishops’ historic Sacred Heart consecration
Relics of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, the French nun to whom Jesus revealed His Sacred Heart in the 17th century, will travel from France to Florida this summer, as U.S. bishops consecrate the nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) will gather for its plenary assembly in Orlando, Florida, June 10-12, during which the bishops will consecrate the nation to the Sacred Heart in observance of the United States’ 250th anniversary. The relics will be present at the assembly.
According to a May 28 OSV News report by Paris-based Caroline de Sury, the relics will be accompanied across the ocean to the Knights of Columbus international headquarters in New Haven, Connecticut, by Arnaud Bouthéon, the lay leader of the Knights of Columbus in France, on June 2. The relics are typically kept at the Shrine of the Sacred Heart in France and will be venerated during the first week of June in Connecticut.
Bouthéon said the relics’ arrival in the U.S. “is an invitation to consecrate families and individuals to the Sacred Heart.”
