Senate leaders, especially Majority Leader John Thune, have strongly resisted any reform to the filibuster.
President Donald Trump on Thursday had harsh words for lawmakers who oppose ending the Senate’s 60-vote filibuster threshold to pass key legislation.
Trump has repeatedly floated the reform to Senate rules to advance the SAVE America Act, a marquis voter ID bill, as well as other legislative priorities. .. .
Senate leaders, especially Majority Leader John Thune, have strongly resisted any reform to the filibuster, as well as Trump’s suggestion that he fire the Senate Parliamentarian and replace her with someone who will let more agenda items pass by reconciliation, a process that circumvents the filibuster.

‘Anybody in Israel who thinks their biggest problem is the president of the United States needs to wake up and smell the reality of the situation that country is in,’ Vance said.
Vice President J.D. Vance called out Israeli counter-signaling of U.S.-Iran negotiations, telling the country’s leadership that its popularity in the world has been diminishing and the United States, under President Donald Trump, is the “only powerful ally” Israel has left.
“Donald J. Trump is the only head of state in the entire world who is sympathetic to the nation of Israel at this moment in time, and he happens to be the head of state of the world superpower,” Vance said. “If I was in the cabinet of the Israeli government, I might not be attacking the only powerful ally that I have anywhere left in the entire world.”
Support for Israel in the U.S. has been declining precipitously in both parties and across several age demographics.
At a Thursday press conference in the White House briefing room, Vance was asked about Axios reporting suggesting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was “fum[ing]” over the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between the United States and Iran to begin the process of ending the war.
Vance responded that the reporting was “not reflective of the conversations that I’ve had with him, but maybe he’s saying something to somebody else that he’s not saying to me.” He then went on to call out Netanyahu’s cabinet officials who, he said, have been critical, and in some cases defiant, of Trump over his negotiations with Iran.

Two top U.S. senators are urging the Trump Justice Department to challenge the legality of President Joe Biden’s pardon of Dr. Anthony Fauci and to pursue criminal charges against the nation’s former top doc during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I think we should challenge the pardon, because it’s an extraordinary pardon. It’s a pardon not for a specific crime, and it’s a pardon over a 10 year period. It’s the same that he got the same thing Hunter Biden got,” Sen. Rand Paul told the Just the News, No Noise television show on Tuesday.
“I think that could be challenged in court, because it’s not specific, it’s vague, and it doesn’t specify the crime, and it’s such a large period of time. So, I think it could be challenged, and should be challenged,” he said.

Alleged Ringleader of UFC Terrorist Plot is a Mexican Illegal Alien

The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released the following statement announcing that the suspected ringleader of the failed terrorist plot against UFC Freedom 250 is a Mexican illegal alien who overstayed a B2 visitor visa.
According to local reporting, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, a Mexican illegal alien, in Omaha, Nebraska on June 14, for his alleged involvement in the plot to carry out a mass-casualty attack against government officials and other attendees at Sunday’s event at the White House. Four other co-conspirators were arrested over the weekend in Ohio, Missouri, and California.
On June 16, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced federal charges for the five suspects, including Alvarez, who went by the alias “Shepherd.” The FBI assessed that Alvarez was responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the planned attack. Alvarez detailed the plot in an encrypted group chat, including the planned use of “counter sniper(s) and drones,” with the explicit intention of being “as deadly as we can get.”
Alvarez and his co-conspirators face federal charges of conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit violence on White House grounds. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged a detainer for Alvarez.

Former President Barack Obama’s presidential center was initially estimated to cost $350 million; however, after a slate of setbacks and delays, the price of the project has more than doubled to a staggering $850 million. As construction was ongoing in Chicago, the center faced an array of controversies, including opposition from locals, anger over the use of tax dollars to support surrounding infrastructure, critiques of the building’s design, alleged failure to pay contractors and even a lawsuit alleging racial discrimination.
Unlike a traditional presidential library, the Obama Presidential Center is designed as a broader civic campus, with a museum, public plaza, forum, Chicago Public Library branch, recreation space, gardens and community programming.

The political temperature continues to rise in Britain, thanks in part to the published statistics and testimony arising from the systematic rape and torture of thousands of working-class girls by predominantly Pakistani Muslim men.
Trillionaire Elon Musk has amplified the message of the Rape Gang Inquiry Report by calling for UK-wide Nuremberg-style trials of those identified as perpetrators or accomplices in the report.
This follows prominent social media posts about the document to coincide with its publication on Tuesday, June 16th. Restore Britain leader Rupert Lowe released the Report, recording the systemic rape and often torture of up to 250,000 young British girls by organised groups of predominantly Pakistani-heritage Muslim rapists.
An X post calling for Nuremberg-style trials arising from the rape gang inquiry—and the execution of those responsible—prompted Musk to state: “Yes.”
According to Lowe, The mass rape of vulnerable working class white girls by gangs of primarily Pakistani Muslim men is pure unfettered evil.
The report is not from a statutory inquiry, so it does not have the power to compel witnesses. However, by compiling the findings of multiple local investigations, including some which are now being reopened, it is pushing a grim statistical picture up the national political agenda.

EEOC [Equal Employment Opportunity Commission] to probe MLB over alleged discrimination in Pride Night hat controversy: Dhillon
The Department of Justice asked the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on Thursday to investigate MLB over its alleged discrimination against three Christian baseball players who inscribed Bible verses on their Pride Night hats during a game last week.
In a letter to MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred, Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon said she referred the matter to the EEOC for “further investigation.” In a social media post accompanying the letter, she indicated the EEOC planned to investigate MLB.
“Swing and a miss!” Dhillon posted on X. “Major League Baseball encouraged players to wear ‘Black Lives Matter’ on their uniforms but reportedly threatened Christians who write Bible verses on their hats. [EEOC] will investigate whether this amounts to religious discrimination.”
