CCP Intelligence Official Buys Building Steps From White House

A senior Chinese Communist Party (CCP) intelligence official is the new owner of a historic building overlooking the White House Complex, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation discovered.

Located approximately 650 feet northeast of the White House grounds, the 100-year-old Securities Building on 15th Street was purchased on July 21, 2026 for $8.4 million by the Philip Qiu and Family Foundation, filings show. The building’s new owner, Philip Qiu, has held numerous positions within Chinese intelligence and state security arms, according to university records and DCNF translations of Chinese government announcements. …

“The CCP is like a kind, but firm parent,” Qiu said in 2021, according to a DCNF translation of an announcement from a Chinese intel arm. “It has guided our people out of hardship, led China’s sons and daughters to build a new country and is steering us toward great national rejuvenation.”

Qiu’s ownership of The Securities Building poses an urgent national security threat and must be investigated by federal authorities, multiple intelligence experts told the DCNF. …

“No Chinese citizen should be permitted to own, lease, or occupy any real estate that gives him or her the ability to surveil any sensitive federal installation,” [Gordon] Chang said. “No ifs, ands, or buts.”

HHS cites $50 million potential insurance fraud for “sex-rejecting” procedures for minors

Doctors and hospital groups may have profited to the tune of nearly $50 million from fraudulent insurance claims for transgender medical procedures on children, according to a new report from the Department of Health and Human Services.

A new HHS report, titled “Wolves in White Coats: How Doctors and Hospitals Pushed and Profited from the Fraud of ‘Gender Medicine,’” outlines how physicians and hospital systems may have misused billing codes to get private insurance and Medicaid programs to cover puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and gender surgeries for minors.

The 64-page report, obtained by the Washington Examiner, highlights more than 225 hospitals and health systems that established pediatric gender clinics nationwide between 2015 and 2025. Based upon the fraud findings in the report, the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud referred the clinics to the Department of Justice and the HHS Office of Inspector General for possible violations of federal law.

English Village Will Have Six MIGRANT MEN To Every Woman

What do you think will happen?

A quiet North Yorkshire village of roughly 600 people is set to be flooded with around 1,200 single adult male asylum seekers at the nearby disused RAF Linton-on-Ouse base. Local women would be outnumbered six to one.

Labour MP Rachael Maskell has raised the alarm over the plan, which forms part of the government’s wider push to move roughly 3,750 people into three former military sites near villages as it tries to empty asylum hotels.

The base sits beside a primary school and nursery, has only four buses a day into York, and already faces severe shortages of water, sewage capacity and electricity. Maskell has written to border security and asylum minister Anna Turley and is due to meet Home Office officials this month. …

Prime Minister Andy Burnham … insists that “all parts of the country need to play their part” and that middle-class and leafy areas can no longer be shielded while poorer communities carry the load.

Borders minister Anna Turley has defended the approach as creating a “more fair and equitable system,” even while acknowledging that concentrating arrivals in deprived areas previously fuelled “civil unrest.”

[Swiss] Bishop Eleganti: Islam poses ‘very serious’ danger to the West

“Globalism has already failed” and the crisis of predominantly Muslim migration is leading to a point of “no return”, Bishop Marian Eleganti has declared.

The former auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Chur is one of a handful of prelates who publicly denounces Islam and the concept of modern migration into the West, and has regularly linked the demographic crisis in the West to the crisis of immigration simultaneously affecting Europe.

Interviewed recently by La Nuova Bussola Quotidiana, Eleganti warned that the Catholic Church “should not take an idealistic approach on this issue”, outlining that this meant the Church should avoid preaching “a moralism detached from reality, which ignores the concretely existing social problems linked to unlimited immigration and which can only be solved with political common sense.”

Women’s National Basketball Association Can’t Decide What A Woman Is

The Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) is arguably facing the biggest crisis in its history. That is, its leadership can’t decide what a woman is.

The extremely difficult question was top of mind for the “task force” of WNBA general managers and team presidents who met Wednesday to discuss eligibility rules for dudes who think they’re chicks playing in the league. But after much hard-thought consideration, they just couldn’t bring themselves to settle on guidelines ensuring the women’s league is exclusive to, well, women.

What the meeting’s participants did agree on was releasing a statement seemingly attacking those who oppose trans-identifying men being permitted to dominate women’s sports. The league denounced what it called “bad-faith efforts to use these topics to demean or marginalize others.”

As noted by Fox News and ESPN, the governing language from the league’s 2026 collective bargaining agreement does not define what a “woman” is.

Haiti: Church “the last remaining wall” against gangs

As the country sinks into an unprecedented crisis, corroded by armed gangs, the Church remains standing, sowing hope in the midst of despair.

The legislative and presidential elections due to be held in Haiti on August 30 – the first since the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse in 2021 – have been postponed until December. But the idea of elections still seems like a distant dream in a country devastated by the violence of armed gangs, who control vast areas of the territory.

“The restoration of security is a prerequisite for holding the first round,” warned the president of the Provisional Electoral Council at the end of 2025. Unfortunately, since then, the so-called “Pearl of the Antilles” has been sinking deeper into chaos every day, and the holding of the elections remains uncertain.

Armed gangs now control between 70% and 90% of the capital, Port-au-Prince, as well as the strategic departments of Artibonite and Centre, and continue to expand their power. By collecting illegal tolls on major roads, they have become the real masters of the country, sowing terror throughout the territory.

Colombian Archbishop: ‘The earthquake was extremely devastating’

Archbishop José Miguel Gómez Rodríguez of Manizales, Colombia, trusts that God’s providence will help the population move forward, overcome adversity, and provide care for those affected: “It was an earthquake of extraordinary violence; it seemed as though it was going to bring down absolutely everything built on the ground.”

“The emblematic image of [this entire situation] was Manizales Cathedral, a very important symbol of this region of the country. It is a Neo-Gothic building that suffered serious damage. One of its auxiliary towers collapsed,” Archbishop José Miguel Gómez Rodríguez of Manizales, Colombia, said in an interview with Vatican News following the magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck on August 10, killing more than 200 people and leaving hundreds injured, according to the latest official reports. …

Regarding the damage caused, Archbishop Gómez Rodríguez said that “there was serious damage to homes” in the area, leaving many people homeless. As for churches and other ecclesial buildings, he estimates that “half of them suffered serious damage.”
