After We Laugh, We Must Treat DSA Program As Deadly Serious by Michael Paranzino

The latest platform makes ‘Woke 1’ look less like ancient history than a warm-up act.

Back in college, faced with peers who admitted they were communists, I simply laughed and then went about my day. It was among my bigger mistakes.

Those clowns went on to take over our K-12 schools and universities, our medical and law schools, the Smithsonian, the media, and other important institutions

Now we have a new goofy movement, the Democratic Socialists of America, taking over one of our two political parties. While satire can be one method of delegitimizing them in the eyes of young or desperate Americans, the danger they pose is deadly serious.

Their “Workers Deserve More” program deserves a wide audience. And then it must be aggressively countered, and every Democrat candidate in America must be held accountable for the hearty welcome Democrats have given the DSA.

You may have heard Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez attempt to deflect her past by saying “Woke 1 was crazy.” But …

Alberta Canada Premier Danielle Smith Speaks Out – Explains Why PM Carney’s Threats Against US is Suicide for Canadian Economy

Globalist leader and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney walked away from a trade deal with the United States after negotiations reportedly broke apart on Friday night.

The Trump Administration is working to gain a more favorable trade deal with our northern neighbor after decades of Canada due to the fact that the current arrangement as one-sided and insufficiently beneficial to the United States. …

Yesterday, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, a province that is voting to leave Canada, explained why this is such a bad idea for Canada. …

[A]lthough I understand the need to respond strongly to these tariffs, I cannot think of a more disastrous policy decision than cutting off or taxing Alberta’s oil to the United States. Doing so would absolutely devastate the Canadian economy. It would not only extinguish the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of Albertans, it would economically hobble our friends and neighbors in other provinces to the east. …

Canadian Broadcasting Corp Tells Staff Not to Refer to 9/11 as ‘Terrorist Attack’

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) sent a memo to its reporters and editors this week instructing them not to refer to the September 11, 2001, attack on America as a “terrorist attack.”

The memo, first reported by an astonished Warren Kinsella at the Toronto Sun, used boldface type to emphasize the directive to CBC employees.

“Do not refer to the Sept. 11 attacks as terrorist attacks,” the memo said bluntly.

“The hijackings led to passenger jet crashes in Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania and Manhattan. The World Trade Center was destroyed,” the memo continued, by way of explaining why the atrocity seen by most of the world as the textbook example of a “terrorist attack” should not be described as such.

According to Kinsella, the memo originated with Basem Boshra, the Senior Director of Journalistic Standards and Public Trust at CBC News.

Education Department Finally Confronts Sex-Abuse Epidemic in Government Schools

After decades of cover-ups, union protection rackets, and official indifference, the U.S. Department of Education is finally admitting that government schools are infested with sexual predators preying on captive children.

In some of the strongest official comments to date, U.S. Secretary Linda McMahon vowed a nationwide crackdown on teachers, staff, and other adults in positions of authority who sexually abuse and harass students.

Speaking Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” McMahon made clear that the horrors documented by The Newman Report and others for years cannot continue. “This epidemic of nationwide sexual abuse in our schools must end,” she said….

McMahon cited the Department of Education’s own 2004 literature review — the so-called Shakeshaft Report — finding that about one in ten students in grades 8 through 11 reported sexual misconduct by an educator.

“This stat will probably blow your mind. It did mine,” she told host Dana Bash. “Statistics show 1 in 10 children before they finish high school will have been sexually molested in school.”

Locals Block Red Cross Aid, Storm Migrant Camps Again as Ceuta [Spain] Resistance Grows

Ceuta’s unrest continued on Thursday as hundreds of residents blocked Red Cross food deliveries, pushed through police cordons and tore down migrant encampments, setting belongings on fire. Hours earlier, dozens of illegal migrants had attacked a vehicle carrying Spanish soldiers with stones, forcing the troops to flee on foot.

Hundreds of Ceuta residents blocked Red Cross vehicles carrying food to illegal migrants on Thursday, 27 August, before pushing through police lines, dismantling makeshift settlements and setting migrant encampments on fire, as anger over the thousands who remain in the Spanish enclave after July’s mass invasion spilled into a third consecutive day of unrest.

The confrontation began near Benítez beach, where residents sat across the road for more than two hours to prevent Red Cross vehicles from reaching El Trampolín, one of the principal improvised migrant camps. Protesters carrying Spanish and Ceuta flags demanded the illegal migrants’ removal, chanting ‘Ceuta no se vende, Ceuta se defiende’ (‘Ceuta is not for sale; Ceuta must be defended’), one of the main slogans of the current protests. Footage on social media also show group of illegal migrants throwing rocks at protestors.

The crowd then moved towards the settlements carrying a giant Spanish flag, breached the police cordon and entered the beach area. The illegal migrants fled as their makeshift shelters were torn apart and thrown into the sea, similarly to what had happened overnight. Angry locals also set fire to belongings left behind, as well as two beach parasols.

Police ultimately charged the crowd of residents, preventing direct clashes between the two groups.

WEST BANK ALERTS: Cardinal Pizzaballa Warns the West Bank Has Become a “Lawless Land”

Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, warned at the conclusion of the Rimini Meeting in Italy that the West Bank has become a “lawless land,” as attacks by Israeli settlers continue to escalate. He said Palestinians are “very tired” and can no longer endure the situation they are living under.

Speaking about Gaza, Pizzaballa expressed particular concern for children and their deprivation of education, stressing the need for continued international attention to the suffering of civilians.

Pizzaballa also spoke about Taybeh, the only entirely Christian Palestinian town in the West Bank, describing it as “a kind of symbol” because of its Christian identity. He said what is happening in Taybeh reflects pressures faced by other Palestinian villages in the area. …

He said that prayer provides a place where people can surrender their sense of helplessness to God, pointing to the cross as a source of salvation even in moments that appear to represent complete human failure.

Gregorian Chant: Ancient Solution to Modern Crisis

Much modern music reaches us by stimulating desire: it excites, arouses, consoles, energises, or invites us to identify our own emotions with those of the performer. Gregorian chant does something subtler. It awakens longing without telling us what to long for. It moves us without making us the centre of what is happening.
