Mamdani Excluded From Speaking at Fallen Soldier’s Ceremony

Backlash to Democratic Socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani continues well after his election, as more and more residents of the Big Apple realize how bad his policies and approach to governing really are.

The latest pushback manifested itself at a ceremony for a U.S. Army soldier killed by an Iranian missile last month.

Mamdani reportedly did not speak Friday during the funeral of Army Sgt. Angel Sarah Rampersad in Queens, one of three U.S. service members killed in Jordan during an Iranian attack on July 17.

Mamdani attended the service at a church in Ozone Park but did not deliver remarks honoring Rampersad.

According to the New York Post, Mamdani appeared to review prepared remarks on an iPad as other dignitaries addressed the congregation, but he was not called upon to speak

Republican Senator Darline Graham (Lindsey’s Sister) Comes Out in Favor of NUKING Filibuster to Get SAVE Act Passed – Browbeats Weakling Thune for Planning Aug. Recess

Republican US Senator Darline Graham (R-SC) came out in favor of nuking the filibuster to get the SAVE Act passed.

Graham, the sister of former Senator Lindsey Graham, came out in support of the SAVE Act and says she is in favor of eliminating the senate filibuster to get it to pass. Darline made the comments during the South Carolina Republican US Senate debate.

Graham added that Democrats will abolish the filibuster if they take control of the US Senate anyway. …

Senator Darlene [SIC] Graham:  I said earlier I’m willing to stay through recess to get it done. What’s up with recess anyway? Who gets a month off from work? I think we should stay up there and work and get it done.

You have to have an ID to check out a library book, to buy alcohol, and you don’t have to have an ID to vote? That’s absurd. In New Jersey, they had 6,600 people, non-citizens registered to vote. Several hundred of them did vote in our election. And I am all for— this is where I differ from my brother— getting rid of the filibuster to get this done because eventually the Democrats are going to get rid of it anyway.

Spanish bishops’ president: ‘The invasion of Ceuta is a test. Demography is a weapon’

In an Aug. 2 message, Archbishop Luis Argüello said: “Biopolitics is key to current global power.”

The president of the Spanish Episcopal Conference (CEE, by its Spanish acronym), Archbishop Luis Argüello, stated that “the invasion of Ceuta is a test. Demography is a weapon,” referring to the crisis in recent days caused by the massive illegal entry of migrants into the Spanish city located on the African coast — a situation Pope Leo XIV has also described as “alarming.”

In an Aug. 2 message shared on X, Argüello declared: “Biopolitics is key to current global power. Life is toyed with, and people — their dreams, hunger, sexuality, and data — are exploited for the sake of profit and power.”

“Migration is part of this strategy. The invasion of Ceuta is a test. Demography is a weapon,” the prelate added. Since July 31, the Spanish city of Ceuta — located on the African coast of the Strait of Gibraltar — has been facing an extremely grave situation following the illegal entry of some 60,000 people who swam from Morocco, skirting the Tarajal breakwater.

As a result, at least 72 people are believed to have lost their lives during the crossing, though the death toll is estimated to potentially exceed 100. While it is estimated that the majority of those who crossed the border irregularly have returned to Morocco, around 5,000 people still remain on the streets of the autonomous city.

Up to 22 European Union countries have pointed to the recent mass legalization of immigrants carried out in Spain — and backed by the Catholic Church — as a contributing factor to the current migration crisis.

Spanish government received intelligence warnings of Ceuta migrant surge according to a report

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has described the mass crossing of migrants as a “violation of Spain’s territorial integrity”. Internal sources of the spanish media ‘The Objective’ confirms that intel reports existed before the crisis. The Spanish government denied it.

The leader of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijoo, had already warned of the situation during his appearance yesterday in Ceuta: the Spanish Government had been aware of it since last Monday.

New information from several military and civilian intelligence sources suggests that the Spanish government had advance warning of the risk of a mass arrival of migrants in the North African exclave of Ceuta this week.

Intelligence alerts were issued over several days, including in the hours immediately before tens of thousands of people crossed from Morocco, sources said.

Intelligence services, consulted by The Objective media, had warned that King Mohammed VI was likely to make a “gesture of magnanimity” at the border to coincide with Morocco’s Throne Day celebrations. Those initial warnings were followed by reports of migrants swimming across from Fnideq, known as Castillejos in Spanish, and buses carrying people from different parts of Morocco towards the border.

Michigan ends restriction on Catholic counselors who treat kids with gender dysphoria

A Catholic Charities affiliate sued Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and other state officials after the governor signed into law a ban on “conversion therapy.”

Catholic counselors in Michigan who offer Catholic-based “talk therapy” to children who struggle with gender dysphoria and gender identity will be allowed to continue their services, according to a federal court order issued on July 31.

Government officials in Michigan have agreed they will not enforce the state ban on “conversion therapy” on the counselors who work for Catholic Charities of Jackson, Lenawee, and Hillsdale Counties or any other counselors engaged in “talk therapy.”

The Catholic Charities affiliate sued Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and other state officials after the governor signed into law a ban on “conversion therapy.” This prohibited treatments that seek to “change an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity.” This includes “efforts to change behavior or gender expression.” …

The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that “everyone, man and woman, should acknowledge and accept his sexual identity.” The Vatican’s 2019 document “Male and Female He Created Them” teaches that sexual identity is a reality “given” through one’s biological and physiological nature.

Officials in Michigan consented to a court order that acknowledges that the law — as enforced against the Catholic Charities affiliate — violates the counselors’ First Amendment right to freedom of speech.

‘A new ethical context’: Doctors push plan to kill people by taking their organs for transplant

Not sure if even the classic horror movies went this far, but three doctors are pushing a plan that would kill people by taking their organs for transplant.

Of course it would be all right because the victims would have requested euthanasia anyway.

A report from LifesiteNews said the doctors, from Canada where euthanasia is routinely imposed and commonly recommended as a health care treatment, wrote a paper, “Contextualizing the dead donor rule in an era of voluntary euthanasia,” in the New England Journal of Medicine.

It is Drs. Ian Ball, Carter Winberg and Robert Truog who said, “In death by organ donation, the patient’s authorization, experience, and outcome are not altered by whether death occurs moments before or during organ retrieval.”

The claim, “Voluntary euthanasia creates a new ethical context, complicating the DDR and established approaches to organ donation: patients are not yet dead, but their death is imminent and results directly from voluntary medical intervention. The current legal reality of voluntary euthanasia provides a new context for interpreting the Don’t Kill Rule.”
