Trump Slams Supreme Court Mail-In Voting Decision
President Donald Trump slammed the Supreme Court for rejecting his bid to restrict mail-in ballots before the midterm elections.
“Republicans just got another bad decision from the United States Supreme Court, one that the Court System took forever to give, and then blamed it, in part, on no time left to implement a solution to our totally CORRUPT and out of control Mail-In voting ‘disaster,’ which is a laughing stock all over the World, and where we are the only country that has to endure such a Nation Destroying SCAM,” he said.
Trump praised conservative Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas for dissenting from the ruling, which he called “highly political.”
“It is a big loss for Republicans, and America itself, and makes cheating by the Radical Left ‘Dumocrats,’ on Mail-In Ballots, a much easier thing to do – And now they have an open field to do so!” he said. “The Supreme Court has really let our Country down! Certain Justices are petrified of these crazed and depraved Democrats, and are totally unable to show the courage necessary to save our America.”

Alito wrote that the plaintiff states and federal courts — including SCOTUS — ‘bear a substantial share of the blame for the rule’s timing.’
Did the Supreme Court’s liberal justices slow-walk their dissents in litigation over President Trump’s mail-in voting order to run out the clock on its implementation for the 2026 midterms? That seems to be what Justice Samuel Alito subtly suggested in the court’s most recent ruling on the subject.
On Monday night, the high court rejected the Trump administration’s request to pause a lower court blockade on a new U.S. Postal Service rule. As described by Fox News, the new rule required election officials to “submit ballot-envelope designs for approval and upload voter information and unique tracking barcodes to a new USPS portal.”
The decision — which effectively bars the policy from taking effect for the fall elections — was presumably 7-2, with Alito and Justice Clarence Thomas saying they would have granted the government’s request for relief. Aside from Justice Brett Kavanaugh — who said the USPS rule seems lawful but denied the government’s request because it’s too close to the midterms for election officials to implement it — the majority offered little explanation for its decision.
Alito, on the other hand, penned a lengthy dissent (joined by Thomas) outlining several issues with the court’s holding. It was in this opinion that the Bush 43 appointee seemingly telegraphed some potentially nefarious shenanigans by the court’s Democrat appointees in the case.

Twenty-five years after 9/11, where do Catholic-Islamic relations stand?
The problem of Islamist terrorism has certainly not disappeared. It is enough to remember only the beheadings in Libya or the Easter Sunday bombings in Sri Lanka, to say nothing of the ongoing lethal attacks on Christians in Nigeria.
Yet there have also been important developments during the pontificates of both Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis. The question of Islam was central to their papal legacies. Benedict gave a theological response; Francis a fraternal one.
The terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, received their fullest theological response 20 years ago on Sept. 12. Returning to his quondam academic home at Regensburg, Pope Benedict XVI addressed the question of violence in the name of religion.
Benedict argued that the act of faith must be, by its very nature, a free act. To coerce, all the more so with violence, the act of faith was therefore contrary to reason — literally unreasonable. And because God is reasonable, what is contrary to reason is contrary to God.
To coerce faith in God by violence is illogical. The Holy Father traced out how such questions had been worked out in the Christian tradition, and suggested relevant lessons for the world of Islam.

[Massachusetts] State Takes Daughter Away From Couple for Not Affirming Trans Identity
A Catholic couple in Massachusetts had their daughter taken away by the state under the guise of child abuse after refusing to affirm her so-called transgender identity.
In 2024, the 15-year-old child was removed from the home of Joseph and Arlene Kutzko after they say she was secretly socially “transitioned” at Algonquin Regional High School. Now, they’re fighting to get her back before she is medically “transitioned” on high-dose testosterone.
“Here, a public school is ‘stuck on stupid’ by engaging in the willful and dehumanizing practice of destroying both family and child. This school should be closed permanently,” Walt Heyer, senior fellow at Family Research Council, told The Washington Stand. “The school abused the child emotionally and psychologically, causing lifelong damage. My life was destroyed by the trans insanity. Stop the madness.”

Study: Doctors don’t screen for abortion coercion — and it hurts women
A recent study highlights that when women are coerced or pressured into abortion, they are at high risk for negative outcomes — but abortion providers rarely screen for abortion coercion.
A recent study found that women who are pressured to undergo unwanted abortions are at highest risk of negative outcomes and harm from abortion.
The study, published in the Journal of the Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine (JAHM), found that physicians rarely screen for coercion and pressure to abort, even though it is the highest predictive risk factor for negative outcomes.
The authors, David C. Reardon, Dr. Martha W. Shuping, and Dr. Patricia K. Giebink, called the failure to screen for this “medical negligence.”
“Women considering abortions should be evaluated for risk factors predictive of negative outcomes,” the study read. “The failure to screen for these risk factors is medical negligence. Screening and informing women of their personal risk factors as required by ethical and legal standards may lead to consideration of alternatives to abortion by women who consider the risks unacceptable.”
Michael New, a senior associate scholar at the Charlotte Lozier Institute, a pro-life group that does abortion-related research, said it was a “methodologically strong study,” noting that 1,000 women were surveyed, 226 of whom had an abortion in the past.

The Far Left strikes again in Ireland
Ireland’s far-left People Before Profit (PBP) party opposes Ave Maria University’s study-abroad campus at the former Mount Melleray Abbey in Waterford, claiming it to be a ‘MAGA beachhead’.
The Florida-based conservative Catholic university founded by Tom Monaghan plans to host up to 100 students per semester for programs on Irish spirituality and Catholic formation at the historic Cistercian site, which closed in 2025 due to declining monks.
PBP has pushed for the abbey lands to be handed to local authorities for social housing or public use instead, while also objecting to the expected economic boost from the university’s arrival in the area.
