Trump strikes back at TV boycott with a dramatic move of his own
President Trump launched his counter assault to a decision by the major TV networks to boycott his White House events — Trump TV.
Labeling it as “essential” television, the presidential network launched Monday evening.
“TRUMP TV IS STREAMING NOW. 24/7, updated in real time, with top past moments, announcements, and the latest and greatest from the administration all in one place. Not every big moment has made it on your tv, now it can,” the administration wrote….
The five TV networks — CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, and Fox News — that distribute footage of presidential events to the rest of the press corps and outlets around the world, launched the first grenade when they announced the service was suspended until further notice, citing the White House ban on CNN, MSNow and Politico.
The major networks pointedly didn’t air President Trump’s ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday afternoon, when he officially opened the new presidential helipad before he departed for a two-day trip to New York. [See Breitbart for coverage of the event.]
“The public has a vital interest in receiving accurate, independent information about its government. No administration should restrict a news organization because it objects to its reporting,” read a joint statement from ABC News, CBS News, CNN, Fox News Media and NBC News, the five White House television pool members.

Media Run Interference For Michigan City [Dearborn] Accused Of Prioritizing Islam Over Other Religions
America’s propaganda media have made an awful lot of noise in recent years fomenting worries about a super scary “Christian nationalist” takeover of America. Yet, for all their professed concerns about religion in the public square, many of these same actors seemingly have no problem with the apparent Islamization of one of Michigan’s most prominent cities.
Last week, the American Freedom Law Center filed a lawsuit against the city of Dearborn, Michigan, on behalf of resident and Federalist Senior Legal Correspondent Margot Cleveland. As described in an AFLC press release, the suit alleges that Dearborn officials “spent public funds and used City property to promote and celebrate the Islamic holy month of Ramadan while refusing Cleveland’s repeated requests that the City extend the same recognition to Christian and Jewish holidays — and that Mayor [Abdullah] Hammoud and other City officials retaliated against Cleveland for speaking out about the disparity.” …
The Associated Press ran an article on Friday with the headline, “Michigan city defends itself against accusations of favoring Muslim holidays over other faiths.” The piece’s opening paragraphs parrot Dearborn officials’ rhetoric to frame Cleveland’s legal challenge as an attack on the city’s “diversity.”
“The city of Dearborn responded Saturday to a lawsuit accusing it of celebrating Muslim holidays and ignoring religious holidays of other faiths by blaming attacks against it on its diversity and ‘welcoming nature,’” the write-up reads.
Corporate media giants PBS News, The Washington Post, and CBS News dutifully re-published the AP article. Meanwhile, searches of The New York Times, CNN, and MS Now’s respective websites turned up no articles about Cleveland’s lawsuit as of publication.

Federal appeals court puts Missouri’s congressional maps back in action
The congressional district maps have been at the center of judicial controversy for the past month, despite surviving nearly a year of legal challenges beforehand.
After a back-and-forth legal battle making its way as high as the U.S. Supreme Court, Missouri has been ordered to conduct November’s midterm elections using the congressional maps drawn by the Republican-led legislature in 2025.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit ruled late Sept. 21 that the 2025 maps are not only constitutional but that not using the maps after they were already used to conduct primary elections in August would violate the Constitution.
The Missouri Supreme Court had ruled on Sept. 3 that Republican Secretary of State Denny Hoskins could not conduct November’s midterm elections using the 2025 maps, which are expected to flip one seat in the U.S. House of Representatives from Democratic to Republican control. The state’s high court determined that a petition brought by the Democrat-aligned organization People Not Politicians was sufficient grounds for terminating the legislature’s maps.

Fulton Sheen’s Message Shines On by John J. Miller
On the eve of his beatification, the late Catholic bishop is newly relevant.
Bishop Fulton Sheen was so good at delivering half-hour homilies on television in the 1950s that even his Jewish stage manager was impressed. “Most Tuesday nights I just stand backstage and let the guy hypnotize me,” confessed Saul Abraham.
Sheen mesmerized a nation from a theater in New York City. His ecumenical show, “Life Is Worth Living,” was so popular and compelling that he won an Emmy for “Most Outstanding Television Personality.” His rivals for the award for the 1952 season included comedian Lucille Ball and journalist Edward R. Murrow. In accepting the honor, Sheen flashed the humor and humility that appealed to millions: “I wish to thank my four writers, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.”
Yet Sheen was more than a quipster in a clerical collar. He was a public intellectual who used his media platform to confront the most vexing problem of the 20th century. “The basic struggle today,” he wrote, “involves above all else whether man shall exist for the state, or the state for man.”
