The FBI admits there was a 4.5% increase in violent crime across the country in 2022. That equals an increase of 80,029 more violent crimes than the year before.
In April, a law enforcement analysis group pointed out this issue.
It found that crime has risen dramatically, causing a "public safety crisis."
It pointed to an "increasingly dysfunctional justice system" as the cause of the crisis.
