US, Iran Agree to 11th-Hour Truce After Trump’s Dire Warnings
The United States and Iran agreed to a two-week ceasefire Tuesday barely an hour before President Donald Trump’s deadline to obliterate the rival country was set to expire, with Tehran to temporarily reopen the vital Strait of Hormuz.
After more than a month of blistering attacks by the United States and Israel, Iran cast the ceasefire as a victory and said it had agreed to talks with Washington to begin Friday in Pakistan on a path to end the conflict.
Trump said he had spoken to Pakistan’s leaders who “requested that I hold off the destructive force being sent tonight to Iran.”

Strait of Hormuz to reopen after Trump announces two-week ‘double-sided ceasefire’ hours before Iran deadline
Iran agreed Tuesday to reopen the Strait of Hormuz as Tehran and the US reached a two-week cease-fire deal — a dramatic breakthrough in a nearly 40-day war that rattled global shipping and sent gas prices soaring.
President Trump announced the pause on military strikes on Iran less than 90 minutes before his 8 p.m. deadline — saying it was subject to Tehran agreeing to let ships pass through the key waterway. Israel also agreed to the two-week cease-fire, a White House official told The Post.
In a statement on Truth Social, Trump said he spoke with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, who urged him to hold off on what he described as a “destructive force” set to be unleashed on Iran.

Artemis II Mission Shows There Are No Limits To American Exceptionalism by Shawn Fleetwood
Pushing the boundaries of what was once thought to be impossible is a hallmark of American greatness. And the recent mission to circle the moon is no different.
The crew of NASA’s Artemis II mission set a record on Monday for traveling further into space than any humans have ever gone before. As part of their “lunar flyby,” the four-person crew (consisting of three Americans and one Canadian) broke Apollo 13’s record by reaching an estimated 252,756 miles from Earth.
While traveling in their Orion capsule, the team viewed previously unseen surfaces of the moon and captured breathtaking images in the process. Amid their discoveries was a noticeably bright crater, which one of the astronauts suggested naming “Carroll” after mission commander Reid Wiseman’s wife, who died of cancer in 2020.
