SAVE Act Reaches 49 Co-Sponsors — GOP Now Just ONE Vote Away from 50-Vote Threshold with Standing Filibuster
On Wednesday evening, the US House of Representatives voted to once again pass the SAVE America Act, the critical legislation that requires proof of citizenship and voter ID to vote in federal elections. The final vote was 218-213, with only one brave Democrat, Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX), crossing the aisle to vote in favor of protecting our elections. …
Just days ago, Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) tried to dump cold water on the bill, reportedly dismissing the effort by claiming, “There aren’t anywhere close to the votes.” Thune, who initially hadn’t even signed on as a co-sponsor, seemed ready to let the Democrats block this common-sense legislation without a fight. …
[But] Senator Mike Lee (R-UT), the warrior leading the charge for election integrity in the Senate, announced on X that Thune caved. …
Following Thune’s capitulation, the floodgates opened. Today, February 12, 2026, three more GOP Senators—Tim Scott (R-SC), Roger Wicker (R-MS), and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV)—officially signed on as co-sponsors.
And just moments ago, Alaska Senator Dan Sullivan (R-AK) threw his full support behind the bill, becoming the 49th Co-Sponsor!

Nicki Minaj calls on ‘Barbz’ [AKA her fanbase] to tell their senators to pass the SAVE Act
Rapper Nicki Minaj is asking her fanbase to call their legislators on Thursday to urge them to pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act.
The SAVE America Act passed the House of Representatives on Wednesday, but it is unlikely to pass the Senate, where Republicans only have a three-seat majority — nowhere near the 60 votes needed to pass it via the filibuster.
Minaj, who has emerged as an ally to the Trump administration, is now urging her fans, whom she refers to as “Barbz,” to get the legislation to President Donald Trump’s desk.
“Barbz, get your pretty little fingers out & call your senators. I’ll bribe you if I have to,” Minaj said on X.

Vance to US Olympians: Focus on Sport, Not Politics
Vice President JD Vance on Wednesday urged American athletes to avoid political criticism while competing at the Winter Olympics in Italy, saying they should focus on representing the country through sport rather than weighing in on contentious domestic politics.
Vance’s remarks came in an exchange with reporters after his visit to Milan, where the Winter Games opened [last] Friday.
The event has been marked by political tensions tied to U.S. domestic issues, including heightened immigration enforcement and international protests.

Anti-Truth Media Bend Over Backward To Call Canadian Trans School Shooter By His Preferred Pronouns
Innocent civilians are dead at the hands of another alleged trans-identifying killer. And as per usual, media propagandists’ biggest concern is whether they’re referring to him with the correct pronouns.
Canadian law enforcement revealed on Wednesday the identity of the 18-year-old suspect (Jesse Van Rootselaar) allegedly responsible for killing at least eight and injuring dozens more in a school shooting on Tuesday. They also revealed that this young man “identified” as a woman.
Without missing a beat, so-called “journalists” moved quickly to display their subservience to radical gender ideology by making sure they referred to the male alleged killer as a female.

Why I’m Done with Notre Dame by Christian Smith
I retired from the University of Notre Dame at the end of 2025. More accurately, I left. After twenty years on the faculty, I could no longer do Notre Dame. So I’ve bailed, without being sure what will come next.
My leaving Notre Dame might seem unusual. I’ve only just turned sixty-five. I am active in research, publishing some of the best work of my career. I loved teaching Notre Dame undergraduates. I held a Kenan endowed chair, which provided a nice research fund. I earned an enviable salary. Almost any faculty member similarly situated would continue working five, ten, or fifteen more years. …
But after two decades, I left. Not happily, not with a sense of fulfillment or closure, but disappointed and vexed. Why? …
When I came to Notre Dame, I believed the university was serious about its Catholic mission. I tried to make my contribution, I think with some success. But I also saw much of the institution absorbed by other interests that, in my view, were often irrelevant to or at odds with the Catholic mission. Most demoralizing was the leadership’s lack of vision and courage.

Charlotte bishop reportedly directs all pastors in diocese to show video detailing his ‘pastoral vision’
Bishop Michael Martin, OFM Conv., has directed that a password-protected video message from him be shown at all Masses this weekend across the Diocese of Charlotte, North Carolina — a move described as unusual in the diocese.
Zeale News confirmed on Feb. 12 that pastors in the diocese received an email containing a video that must be played at Mass. The message reportedly contains Bishop Martin’s “pastoral vision” for the diocese.
The fact that the video file is password protected is believed to be a first in the diocese. Pastors have been informed that the password protection will be removed at noon on Saturday, before weekend Masses begin in many parishes.
The directive about the video heightens apprehension in the diocese as it follows months of controversy over liturgical policy.

Is the First Lady of Nigeria Scared? – Essay by Madeleine Kearns
I met the First Lady of Nigeria at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C., during her short trip to the U.S. last week. “I’m here,” said Oluremi Tinubu, “to make some clarifications.” She’s aware of what she calls “the recent hype in the social media that there is Christian genocide,” and has come to America to “really tell who would like to listen the real situation on the ground.”
I have reported on the atrocities committed against Christian communities by Islamists in Nigeria. I’ve also spoken to Nigerians who are on the ground. I’ve reviewed photographs of butchered children and heard eyewitness testimonies that are not easily forgotten. So I was curious to know how her husband’s government views the violence.
In early October 2025, President Bola Tinubu told an audience in Imo State, which is majority Christian, that there is no religious persecution in his country. To say otherwise, he said, “is a lie from the pit of hell.” I asked his wife if that is still his position, and she replied: “To an extent.” …
