AG Bondi: 3 Arrested in Minnesota Church Takeover
Three people who participated in an anti-immigration enforcement protest that disrupted a service at a Minnesota church have been arrested, Attorney General Pam Bondi said Thursday, just as Vice President JD Vance visited the state.
Bondi announced the arrests of Nekima Levy Armstrong and Chauntyll Louisa Allen in separate X posts days after protesters stormed a Sunday service at Cities Church in St. Paul, where a local Immigration and Customs Enforcement official is pastor.
She followed up with a later X post announcing the arrest of William Kelly.

Minnesota Judge Blocks Federal Charges Against Don Lemon Over Anti-ICE Church Disruption
A Minnesota federal magistrate judge rejected charges against former CNN anchor Don Lemon in connection with a demonstration inside a St. Paul Christian church, where anti-ICE agitators shut down a Sunday service.
As we detailed earlier (below), Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that three individuals – Chauntyll Louisa Allen, Nekima Levy Armstrong, and William Kelly – have been charged in connection to the church disruption.
The Department of Justice had sought charges against Lemon, as well, but the judge refused to sign off on it.

JD Vance backs ICE in Minn., urges everyone to ‘tone down the temperature’ after chaos over Renee Nicole Good’s death
Vice President JD Vance stood by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in Minneapolis and urged local officials to “tone down the temperature” amid protests that have rocked the city since the shooting of Renee Good.
Flanked by ICE-branded SUVs and immigration enforcement officers, the vice president struck a somewhat conciliatory tone, pleading with local Democrats to “meet us halfway” and expressing optimism that they will soon become more cooperative.
“This is a beautiful city. I’ve only been here a few times, but I love it. Even in this weather, I love Minneapolis,” the vice president stressed. “We could do a lot better. We could do a lot more with more cooperation. …The directive that I got, the president of the United States is meet these guys halfway.”

Fellow Catholic Tom Homan Bestowed With Protector of America Award by Catholics For Catholics
General Mike Flynn and Bishop Strickland were part of the January 22, 2026 ceremony in Washington, D.C. at which border czar Tom Homan, a fellow Catholic, was bestowed with the Protector of America Award by Catholics For Catholics for his effort in rescuing more 62,000 missing children – a number which has now been updated to 129,000.
Bishop Strickland, “America’s bishop,” who has been critical of the chaos of illegal immigration in the United States, opened the ceremony with a prayer, and then John Yep, President of Catholics For Catholics, took to the podium.
Yep said that every nation and society is judged by how they treat their most vulnerable citizens.
During Biden’s presidency, Yep said, “we witnessed the largest open border invasion in the history of the world. At least 13 million people came across undocumented through an intentional invasion done by the Biden administration with the help and reliance on NGOs, many of them religious NGOs.” Lawlessness and chaos descended upon cities and small towns alike.

Jack Smith Forced to Explain ‘Enemies List’ of Congressional Phone Records
Lawmakers grilled former special counsel Jack Smith on Thursday for scooping up phone records of members of Congress while concealing his targets from a judge.
Smith testified publicly before the House Judiciary Committee after giving a private deposition last month regarding his nearly two-year probe of then-former President Donald Trump. Smith’s investigation focused on alleged possession of classified documents after leaving office, and Trump’s alleged lying about the 2020 election. He secured indictments in both investigations.
As part of the probe, Smith approved subpoenas for phone communications of members of Congress. His team subpoenaed the phone records of former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif.; House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio; and eight Republican senators.
