Top Official in Marxist NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s Administration Secretly Scheduled Meeting with Iran’s UN Ambassador – Trump State Department Forced to Shut It Down

A senior official in Communist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s administration tried to hold an official meeting with the Iranian regime’s ambassador to the United Nations.

Commissioner Ana María Archila, head of the Mayor’s Office for International Affairs, had scheduled the meeting for July 7 at 11 a.m. at 2 United Nations Plaza with Amir-Saeid Iravani, Iran’s permanent representative to the UN.

Two other senior officials from the office were also set to attend, according to calendar invitation screenshots reviewed by City Journal and confirmed by multiple sources, including a State Department official.

The meeting was called off only after the U.S. State Department, which had not been informed in advance, stepped in and met with the Mamdani administration to “clarify acceptable conduct,” according to City Journal.

The LA Mayor’s Race Is a Warning for All of America – by The Honorable Mike Garcia

What happened in Los Angeles last month was a flashing warning light for the rest of America.

On election night, Spencer Pratt appeared headed for a run-off against incumbent Mayor Karen Bass, and the Democrat Socialist mayoral candidate, Nithya Raman, appeared headed for defeat. But as thousands of additional ballots flowed in days later, the race looked completely different.

Whether your candidate won or lost isn’t really the point.

What we’re asking now is: Why does California keep asking voters to wait days, and sometimes weeks, for answers after Election Day?

Americans expect clarity and transparency from their leaders. But above all, they expect confidence that election rules are applied fairly and consistently.

Instead, California has normalized uncertainty, creating resentment and cynicism among millions of Californians for decades.

As a former Congressman representing California, I’ve watched our election system drift further away from the commonsense standards that most Americans support.

How a Pro-Reality Sports Brand Aims to Compete With Transgender-Aligned Nike

XX-XY Athletics, a sportswear company championing women, aims to compete against the brand behemoth Nike, which XX-XY accuses of failing to stand up for women by pushing transgender ideology.

“My goal is to have a successful business that actually truly stands out for female athletes—not that does it in a fake way, like Nike, where they pretend to champion female athletes, but treat them with astonishing disregard,” XX-XY Athletics founder and CEO Jennifer Sey told the Daily Signal in an interview Wednesday.

Sey, a retired champion gymnast and former brand president at Levi Strauss & Co., noted that conservatives have passed legislation upholding fairness in women’s sports, and courts have upheld the laws, but few major brands are fighting this ideology.

66 Million Babies Have Been Killed in Abortions Since Roe v. Wade

More than 66 million babies have been killed in abortions in the United States since the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.

Analysis drawing on data from the Guttmacher Institute and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show the total has now reached this level. The Roe ruling alone is responsible for more than 64 million deaths through mid-2022, with the overall figure surpassing 65 million by early 2025 and estimates now placing it at approximately 66 million.

In June 2022, the Supreme Court overturned Roe in the Dobbs decision, returning authority over abortion to the states. Many states promptly enacted protections for unborn children. These measures led to abortion center closures in pro-life states and initial drops in abortions there.

The abortion industry responded by shifting resources to pushing women to travel across state lines for abortions and by expanding access to dangerous chemical abortion pills through telemedicine and mail delivery.

Federal regulatory changes also played a role in facilitating these practices.

“Roe cost this country tens of millions of innocent lives, leaving a painful legacy that will never fully heal,” one analysis stated. “Even so, it would have been far worse if not for the efforts of pro-life Americans who offered practical alternatives and put up legislative barriers that eventually resulted in Roe’s overturn.”

[UK] Police investigate Ann Widdecombe’s death amid murder fears

A police investigation has been launched into the death of Ann Widdecombe amid fears she was murdered, The Telegraph understands.

The former Conservative Party minister was found dead at her home in Dartmoor at the age of 78 and there had been no suggestion of anything other than natural causes when her death was announced by her agent on Friday morning.

However, detectives from Devon and Cornwall Police are now investigating the possibility of foul play and the force is set to make a public statement this afternoon.

Ms Widdecombe, who switched allegiance from the Tories to the Brexit Party in 2019 and later to Reform UK, lived alone at her home in Haytor, where she had lived since retiring as MP for Maidstone and The Weald in 2010.

She served as a Brexit Party MEP for South West England from 2019 to 2020 and joined Reform UK in 2023, acting as the party’s immigration and justice spokesman.

Interview with Ann Widdecombe (Sept, 4, 2025)

Ann Widdecombe is a former Conservative MP, Minister of State, author, and one of Britain’s most outspoken political voices. In this interview with EWTN’s Colm Flynn, Ann reflects on her unusual upbringing moving between places due to her father’s military work, her decision to enter politics, and her long career built on conviction rather than popularity. She speaks candidly about her outspoken conservative views, her faith journey and conversion to the Catholic Church, and the great honour of being made a Dame of the Order of St Gregory the Great by Pope Benedict XVI in 2013 for her services to politics and public life. Now in later life, she also shares her reflections on mortality, legacy, and why she has always believed in doing what is right rather than what is easy. Whether you admire her convictions or disagree with her politics, this is a fascinating and unfiltered insight into a woman who has never been afraid to stand her ground.

New Testimony Builds Case That Charlie Kirk Was Assassinated For Christian Belief

Judge Tony Graf fully admitted the now-released three-page testimony on Charlie Kirk’s religious beliefs by pastor, TPUSA board member, and friend of Charlie Kirk, David Engelhardt, on July 9. The statement details Kirk’s “orthodox-Christian position on marriage, family, gender, and sexual being, which find their basis in various Biblical scriptures.”

Defense attorney Richard Novak disputed the admission for more than 30 minutes on the second day of the preliminary hearings because the document does not reveal accused assassin Tyler Robinson’s views on Kirk and “this is not a case about religion.”

However, because Graf ruled that the document is admissible as evidence for Kirk’s political beliefs, he bolstered the prosecution’s case for the victim-targeting enhancement, which could increase Robinson’s punishment if he is found guilty. …

Teachers who celebrated Charlie Kirk’s assassination now cash in with taxpayer-funded settlements

Faculty at Tennessee, Ball State, Clemson and Alabama secured payouts after being fired or placed on administrative leave

Public universities and school districts have agreed to pay more than $2.7 million to educators disciplined over social media posts about slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk, including a $1.9 million settlement approved last week, as lawsuits alleging First Amendment violations continue to mount.

NBC News reported Friday that public records show at least five educators have reached settlements with their employers over the past year totaling more than $2.7 million, with a newly approved agreement accounting for the largest share.

Former University of Tennessee professor Tamar Shirinian is set to receive $1.9 million to settle a lawsuit accusing the school of violating her constitutional rights after officials sought to discipline her over social media posts criticizing Kirk following his assassination.

Archbishop Gänswein renews call for repeal of restrictions on traditional Latin Mass

Editor’s Note: Echoing an appeal he made last week, Archbishop Georg Gänswein, the former prefect of the Papal Household and private secretary of the late Pope Benedict, renewed his repeal for the lifting of restrictions on the traditional Latin Mass.

Archbishop Gänswein, now apostolic nuncio to three Baltic nations, said in an interview that Summorum Pontificum, Pope Benedict’s 2007 document permitting wider celebration of the extraordinary form, bore fruit “especially for young people, and this can be seen first of all in the increasing numbers of the Paris-Chartres pilgrimage every year.”

“These young people are nourished by the beauty of the liturgy; they are not at all opposed to the Second Vatican Council,” he continued. “It is not true that those who have a traditional liturgical sensibility and participate in the Tridentine Masses are anti-conciliar.”

In 2021, Pope Francis repealed the provisions of Summorum Pontificum when he issued Traditionis Custodes, his 2021 document restricting the extraordinary form of the Mass.

‘No one really knows’ whereabouts of Nicaragua’s Bishop Mata

Authorities claim he was released after being detained last week, but police have sealed his house and family have been unable to contact him.

Nicaraguan human rights activists have raised alarm over the welfare and whereabouts of Bishop Abelardo Mata. The bishop was briefly detained by the Nicaraguan regime on June 29 and while authorities claim he was returned home later that day, no one outside the security forces has been able to establish contact with him since.

According to Church sources and local human rights advocates, Mata’s residence has been surrounded by police since June 29, and neither his relatives nor other close contacts have been able to see or speak with him. The lack of independent confirmation of his whereabouts has fueled fears that he is either being held under de facto house arrest or has been transferred to another detention facility.

Eighty-year-old Bishop Abelardo Mata, SDB, emeritus Bishop of Estelí, was held in police custody for several hours on June 29 after celebrating Mass in his former diocese on the previous Sunday, during which he asked the faithful to pray for the persecuted Church in the country and for the diocese’s Bishop Rolando Álvarez, who has lived in exile in Rome since 2024 after spending more than a year in prison on conspiracy charges.
