Hero ROTC cadet fatally stabbed ISIS-supporting Old Dominion gunman to prevent more carnage
A heroic ROTC student fatally stabbed the crazed ISIS-linked gunman who opened fire inside an Old Dominion University classroom Thursday, preventing further carnage, law enforcement sources said.
Shooter Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, 36, gunned down an instructor before the unidentified cadet jumped into action to put an end to the suspected terror attack on the Virginia college campus, according to sources.
Jalloh, who was previously convicted of trying to support ISIS, walked into the classroom and asked if it was an ROTC class, sources told The Post.

Iran vows more attacks, continued Strait of Hormuz closure
In a message read on Iranian state television Thursday, Mojtaba Khamenei said the “lever of blocking the Strait of Hormuz must definitely continue to be used,” defying calls by the U.S. and global markets to reopen the vital shipping lane for oil trade.
He also threatened that “other fronts” in the war “in which the enemy has little experience” would be opened if joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on the country continue, according to a quote from his message shared by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting.
This is the first public message from Khamenei since he was named as Iran’s highest leader on Sunday, replacing his father, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in targeted U.S.-Israeli strikes on his compound on Feb. 28.

Hegseth: Iran’s New Supreme Leader Wounded, Disfigured
War Secretary Pete Hegseth on Friday confirmed reports Iran’s new supreme leader was wounded during the U.S.-Israeli military action, adding that Mojtaba Khamenei likely has been “disfigured.”
In a forceful Pentagon briefing shown live on Newsmax, Hegseth said the Iranian regime is reeling after nearly two weeks of sustained U.S. and Israeli strikes, with its leadership in hiding and its military capabilities rapidly collapsing.
“We know the new so-called not so supreme leader is wounded and likely disfigured,” Hegseth said, arguing that the absence of a public video or voice message from Khamenei spoke volumes.
He described Iran’s ruling class as “desperate and hiding,” saying the regime can barely communicate, let alone coordinate.

Cardinal of Tehran evacuates to Rome
Cardinal Dominique Mathieu, OFM Conv. of Tehran-Isfahan announced on March 9 that he had fled to Rome, along with the staff of the Italian embassy to Iran, “not without regret and sorrow.”
Belgian outlet Cathobel reported that Mathieu had arrived in Rome on March 8 after being evacuated with the Italian embassy staff.
The archdiocese’s Cathedral of the Consolata and the archbishop’s residence are located within the territory of the Italian embassy.
“I arrived in Rome yesterday, not without regret and sorrow for our brothers and sisters in Iran, as part of the complete evacuation of the Italian embassy, [where] the archdiocese [is located]. Until I return there, pray for the conversion of hearts to inner peace,” Mathieu said in a statement to Cathobel.
