Israel’s military says Gaza ceasefire now in effect
Israel’s military announced early Friday that the ceasefire in Gaza is now in effect, after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Cabinet approved the first phase of President Trump’s 20-point peace plan.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) wrote in a post online that its troops have “began positioning themselves along the updated deployment lines in preparation for the ceasefire agreement and the return of hostages.”

Cardinal Pizzaballa welcomes Gaza agreement as ‘first step towards hope’
The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem has welcomed with joy the announcement of an agreement that foresees a cessation of attacks in the Gaza Strip and the immediate release of hostages and Palestinian prisoners.
In a statement released on Thursday after the announcement, the Patriarchate expressed its “ardent hope” that the accord will be “fully and faithfully implemented,” marking “the beginning of the end of this terrible war.”
It highlighted the “absolute urgency” of allowing humanitarian relief and ensuring the “unconditional entry of sufficient aid” for Gaza’s suffering population. “Above all,” the statement said, “we pray that this step may open a path of healing and reconciliation for both Palestinians and Israelis.”

Blessed Is the Peacemaker: The president delivers a Nobel-worthy peace agreement between Israel and Hamas – essay
In a dramatic moment during a White House Dining Room panel discussion yesterday, President Donald Trump received a note and a whispered message from Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
“Very close,” Rubio had scribbled. “Need you to approve a Truth social post soon so you can announce deal first.”
That is, a coveted and seemingly once-impossible deal with Hamas and Israel, two years after the terrorist leadership invaded from Gaza in the most infamous day of the 21st century (thus far) for the nation of Israel. Trump indeed had himself a deal. No one could (or should) deny that it’s a big deal for Donald Trump. Even CNN could not hold back the praise: “[A]fter months of false hope, stalled progress and entrenched positions,” reported CNN, “the agreement was a clear victory for a president who has, in recent weeks, seemed intent on willing his plan into reality.”

Antifa leaders flee America as Trump cracks down on domestic terrorist networks
Several high-profile antifa leaders have fled the country or are actively making plans to abscond overseas.

Mark Bray, a financier of transnational antifa operations and antifa’s foremost thought leader in America, announced he is fleeing to Europe, settling in Spain specifically, under the pretext of safety concerns following negative media attention.

Letitia ‘No One Is Above The Law’ James Indicted For Mortgage Fraud
A Virginia grand jury indicted New York Attorney General Letitia James on Thursday, according to reports.
A jury of her peers in the Eastern District of Virginia made the decision to indict James, and while the details of James’ indictment were not immediately available, Reuters reported James was indicted for bank fraud, citing a source familiar with the matter.
Notably, James was hit with a criminal referral just recently for alleged mortgage fraud.
James allegedly misrepresented property details to secure favorable loan terms — the same thing she took Trump through the wringer for just last year.

Mayor Eric Adams looks to protect NYC’s Columbus statues after rival Zohran Mamdani’s tantrum over explorer
“As mayor of the city with one of the largest Italian populations in the world, I am proud that we celebrate Italian-American heritage, today and every day,” he said.
Mamdani had flipped the bird at the famous Italian explorer’s statue in Astoria and called for its removal in a 2020 social media post that riled Italian-Americans in the Big Apple.
But the designation would keep Mamdani’s clutches off the statues — landmarked sites can’t be legally altered or destroyed.
“We also recognize the contributions of our indigenous community and are proud to establish a new special grant program for cultural programs and art projects representing that community,” Adams added.
