MTG Teams Up With Tucker Carlson and Thomas Massie to Plot New Political Party: ‘The Movement Has Begun’
Former Republicans Majorie Taylor Greene and Tucker Carlson are apparently serious about their plans to launch a new political party — and they’ve got some help too.
Greene posted a picture on Saturday of her and her new husband Brian Glenn sitting at a wooden table headed by Carlson, who was flanked by lame duck Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and another ex-fan of President Donald Trump: Joe Kent, the former director of the National Counterterrorism Center who quit earlier this year in protest of the Iran war. Massie and Kent’s wife are also seated at the table.
Everyone appears to be pretty jolly in the picture — and focused on their mission to upend American politics.
“We said no more foreign wars and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise. But he’s betrayed us all,” Greene wrote. “Our commitment is America First for all Americans, right, left, and center.”
“The movement has begun,” Greene capped off her post.

Trump says Iran talks begin Monday after canceling ‘biggest attack since World War II’
The President says Gulf allies and Iran asked him to give diplomacy more time as negotiators seek to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and revive a June peace framework, though Tehran has not accepted his account or the proposed terms.
President Donald Trump said Aug. 2 that negotiations with Iran would begin the next afternoon after he canceled a massive planned U.S. strike, creating a new but uncertain opening toward an end to the five-month war.
Trump said the original planned operation “would have been by far the biggest attack since World War II” and “disastrous” for Iran.
Reuters reported July 31, citing CBS News sources, that U.S. and Israeli officials had been preparing strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure, but Trump did not confirm whether those targets were part of the canceled plan.
Trump said Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Iran had urged him not to launch the attack. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman told him regional governments “would much prefer a deal as opposed to an attack, because you don’t know where these attacks lead,” according to the President.

RFK Jr torches CNN anchor Dana Bash for ‘press malpractice’ over COVID coverage in explosive clash
Kennedy told Bash she was ‘scaring people’ and accused her of punishing people who distrusted Fauci during the pandemic
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. accused CNN anchor Dana Bash of COVID-era media malpractice Sunday, saying she failed to challenge public health authorities and helped marginalize dissenters during the pandemic.
“You were part of the problem. There was absolute press malpractice. Your job — your job — is a fierce skepticism toward authority, and you weren’t doing that,” Kennedy said on “State of the Union.”
“You were beating up on people who were dissenting,” the HHS secretary added.
Kennedy leveled the attack after Bash asked how HHS would prepare for another pandemic and tried to move him away from re-litigating the prior federal response.
Bash pushed back, saying she was trying to ask how Kennedy would prevent another public health crisis.
“I also don’t want to use this interview to allow you to say things that aren’t entirely true,” Bash said. “You’re talking about therapeutics. Fine. It is also factually true that the COVID vaccine worked. The COVID vaccine prevented deaths. There is data, upon data, upon data.”
CDC and Harvard researchers estimated in 2023 that primary vaccination could have prevented at least 232,000 deaths among unvaccinated U.S. adults.
After Bash acknowledged the frightening nature of the pandemic and said officials made mistakes, Kennedy accused CNN of contributing to public fear.
“You were scaring people,” Kennedy said.

Massachusetts Passes Radical Bill for Abortions Up to Birth
The Massachusetts Senate on Friday approved a radical bill that allows abortions up until birth even on healthy unborn babies. The legislature sent the measure to Gov. Maura Healey, an abortion advocate who is expected to sign it into law.
The Senate passed the measure this afternoon after Democrats fast tracked the measure to bypass the full committee process so the full body could pass the bill before the legislature adjourns today.
The legislation, House Bill 5595, passed the overwhelmingly Democrat House on July 22 by a vote of 119-33. Under current state law, abortions are allowed up to 24 weeks of pregnancy, although weak exceptions essentially allow it up to birth.
Abortions after that point are permitted only when the mother’s life or health is threatened (which could mean anything), or if the baby is unlikely to survive outside the womb. The new bill shifts the criteria for late-term abortions from that list of specific medical conditions to a more flexible standard based solely on the abortionist approving the abortion.

Polish swimmer crosses more than 160 km in around 55 hours without sleep, without rest, and without touching the support boat. He started from Sweden on Friday and reached the beach in Dziwnów (West Pomerania) on Sunday evening, where crowds were waiting for him. After getting out of the water he was so exhausted he admitted he “still doesn’t know” what it feels like to have actually done it. During the second day he even experienced hallucinations. In 2025 he had come agonizingly close — swimming 159 km before losing consciousness just 11 km from the finish. This time he finished the job. He dedicated the historic swim to the children supported by the Cancer Fighters Foundation.

Fifth Amendment Fauci’s Narcissism Destroyed Faith in Scientific Methodology by Michael Fumento
Congress may be investigating COVID, but the deeper scandal is how one bureaucrat reshaped science into dogma.
If you believe in karma or that chickens always come home to roost, you have to explain why Mao and Stalin died in bed, and Hitler was able to choose his own way out. But watching Anthony Fauci on the witness stand before Congress taking the Fifth as fast as his lips could flap (more than 100 times), you could see some evidence that at least some hens become broiler chickens.
There he sat — the undisputed grand vizier of American public health — hedging his answers and reciting the familiar line about “following the science.” To the uninitiated observer, perhaps it looked like the noble defense of an overworked public servant unfairly hounded by partisan inquisitors. To anyone who has tracked his career since the 1980s, it looked like something else entirely: another verse in a long song of dodge, delay, and quiet goalpost-moving in furtherance of a career fueled by narcissism so extreme it should have its own place on the Periodic Table.
The hearing was ostensibly about the origins of COVID-19, gain-of-function research, and the shifting, often contradictory directives that governed life for 300 million Americans during the pandemic. But the real subject was never the virus alone. It was the institutionalized rot of a public health establishment that has long preferred terror-driven consensus to rigorous, skeptical inquiry — an establishment Fauci built, nurtured, and came to embody.

Pope Leo XIV receives Patti Smith at Vatican
The Chicago-born pontiff and the influential American singer, poet, and visual artist met privately for about 40 minutes at the Apostolic Palace.
Pope Leo XIV received American singer, poet, and artist Patti Smith in a private audience at the Vatican on Friday, July 31.
The meeting lasted about 40 minutes at the Vatican’s Apostolic Palace, according to Jesuit Father Antonio Spadaro, undersecretary of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Culture and Education, who shared details of the encounter on Instagram.
Smith wore a Tau cross, a symbol closely associated with the Franciscan order, during the audience.
The meeting also had a personal connection: Both the pontiff and the artist were born in Chicago, a detail highlighted by the Vatican when it reported on the encounter.

Pope Leo XIV’s prayer intention for the month of August is for evangelization in the city.
Pope Leo XIV’s prayer intention for the month of August is for evangelization in the city.
“Roughly half of us live in cities. Jesus himself walked city streets, in Cana, in Jericho, in Jerusalem, and just as in those cities Christ is present in ours — teaching, praying, celebrating, but also suffering among the poor, the forgotten, the imprisoned,” the Holy Father said in a video released July 31 on X.
He added: “This month, let us pray for the courage to recognize him [Jesus] there and through our work and witness to bring the Gospel to the streets and homes of our metropolises.”
In the full video shared on the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network website, Pope Leo recites an original prayer written specifically for this month’s prayer intention:
