“What Makes It Even Stranger…”: Trump Describes Saturday Night Phone Call With Lindsey Graham Hours Before Senator’s Death

Update (1815ET): Officially, Graham died of an aortic dissection due to Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease, according to preliminary findings by the DC Medical Examiner – so who knows. An aortic dissection is characterized as a tearing of the aortic wall.

Update (1135ET): President Trump has weighed in on Graham’s death, telling Meet the Press that Graham called him in the ‘early evening,’ to tell Trump he was ‘all set for the Save America Act,’ and that it may have been the last call Graham made.

“[W]hat makes it even stranger is that I got a call last night sometimes in, you know, the early evening, maybe in the 7:00’s. And he called and he said, “We’re all set for the Save America Act,”” Trump told host Kristen Walker. “He was pushing the Save America Act like crazy. He got back, said he just landed from Ukraine. I said, “That’s a long trip to make.””

Graham notably toured a top secret Ukrainian ‘Skyfall’ drone factory … days before his death, where the country’s deadly ‘Baba Yaga’ Vampire bomber drones are manufactured. He also announced an upcoming Russian sanctions package, and said that the US can learn a lot from Ukraine’s UAV advancements.

“I believe that it would be a huge mistake for America not to cooperate with Ukraine in the field of drones. They are ready to help us, because we were ready to support Ukraine in the most difficult times,” Graham said.

McConnell says a fall led to hospitalization and he won’t return to Senate floor ‘quite yet’

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) broke weeks of silence about his health on Sunday, saying he was hospitalized last month after he “took a fall” and he doesn’t expect “to return to the Senate floor to vote quite yet.”

In a statement addressed to his constituents, McConnell revealed it was a fall that landed him in the hospital, saying his physical vulnerabilities “haven’t exactly gotten easier to manage with age.” …

U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the following note to constituents regarding his hospitalization and recovery:
‘To my fellow Kentuckians – When you elected me to a seventh term and made me our Commonwealth’s longest serving Senator, you did so trusting that I’d keep showing up to fight for you every day. And over the past several weeks, Elaine and I have appreciated both your well wishes and your honest questions about what was keeping me away from the Senate. …’

Counter terror police now leading investigation into Ann Widdecombe’s death as ‘new evidence comes to light’

An investigation into the death of Ann Widdecombe is now being led by Counter Terrorism Police.

The former Conservative minister and later Reform UK spokeswoman was found dead at her home in Haytor on Dartmoor at about 11.40am on Thursday after sustaining serious injuries.

A 28-year-old white British man was arrested at an address in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, on Saturday evening, and is understood to remain in police custody.

Now, Counter Terrorism Policing South East confirmed they were leading the investigation after “new information and evidence has come to light”.

Head of National Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP), Laurence Taylor, said: “Building on the progress made by our colleagues in Devon and Cornwall Police, we now have new information and evidence that means Counter Terrorism Policing is now leading the investigation.

“We are pursuing multiple lines of enquiry to establish the motivation for this attack. Our priority is progressing this investigation quickly, with all the capabilities we have available to us. If anyone has any information, please share it with the police.

How Trump Can Shut Down The Export Of Trafficked American Babies To China by Nathanael Blake

Making America Great Again means not selling American babies.

We should stop selling American babies.

Regardless of the flaws in the Supreme Court’s recent ruling on birthplace citizenship, it highlights that the surrogacy industry is selling American babies and shipping them overseas. Literally. Just last year, The Wall Street Journal published a story headlined “The Chinese Billionaires Having Dozens of U.S.-Born Babies Via Surrogate.” The leading example was Xu Bo, a video game mogul whose “company said he has more than 100 children born through surrogacy in the U.S.” The vast majority of these are boys, whom he prefers.

Legally, these children are, as the Supreme Court has affirmed, American citizens by virtue of being born in the USA. So why are we allowing them to be sold by the dozens to a weirdo in China?

Well, he’s weird, but he’s also really rich. And he and others of his ilk are, as the Journal reported, enabled by a “thriving mini-industry of American surrogacy agencies, law firms, clinics, delivery agencies and nanny services — even to pick up the newborns from hospitals.” The Chinese nationals ordering these American babies do not even need to set foot in the US to procure their American-citizen children. The surrogacy industry infrastructure allows Chinese customers to “ship their genetic material abroad and get a baby delivered back, at a cost of up to $200,000 per child.” Mail-order American babies for a vial of semen and a lot of cash.

Czech Court to Weigh Clearing Cardinal Jailed by Communists

A district court will weigh whether Cardinal Štěpán Trochta, imprisoned by the Nazis and later by the communists, was unlawfully interned in the 1950s.

A second cardinal and a third senior churchman may be rehabilitated this year for mistreatment under the communist regime in Czechoslovakia. The District Court in Litoměřice, in what is now the Czech Republic, will consider a proposal for the rehabilitation of Cardinal Štěpán Trochta, the former bishop of Litoměřice, over his internment between 1950 and 1953.

The public prosecutor asked the relevant authorities to carry out an investigation into the archives and, based on the outcome, found the initiative reasonable. He has already submitted a proposal for the judicial rehabilitation of Trochta over the illegal deprivation of his personal freedom. A date for consideration of the proposal has not yet been set.

“I firmly believe that the name of Štěpán Trochta, my predecessor in Litoměřice, will be cleared through the courts,” said Archbishop Stanislav Přibyl of Prague, who is also apostolic administrator of Litoměřice.
