Nigeria Responds to Trump Warning of Christian ‘Mass Slaughter’

Nigeria said it was committed to tackling violent extremism, but dismissed any suggestion of genocide in Africa’s most populous nation after U.S. President Donald Trump said thousands of Christians were being killed in a “mass slaughter” by radical Islamists and Christianity faces an existential threat there.

“For the avoidance of any doubt, and out of respect for all the victims and survivors around the world of this unique and appalling crime against humanity, let the record show that there is no genocide, now or ever, in Nigeria,” Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, said in a message to Newsweek.

Trump directs Department of War ‘to prepare for possible action’ if Nigerian government continues to allow Christian persecution

President Donald Trump announced Nov. 1 that he has instructed the Department of War “to prepare for possible action” if the Nigerian government fails to put an end to the deadly Christian persecution in the country.

“If the Nigerian Government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,’ to completely wipe out the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities,” Trump said in a Nov. 1 Truth Social post at 4:43 pm [Nov.1].

Rap star Nicki Minaj thanks Trump for addressing persecution of Christians in Nigeria

Rap superstar Nicki Minaj recently thanked President Donald Trump for shedding light on the persecution of Christians in Nigeria. …

“Reading [the president’s statement] made me feel a deep sense of gratitude. We live in a country where we can freely worship God. No group should ever be persecuted for practicing their religion. We don’t have to share the same beliefs in order for us to respect each other,” Minaj wrote.

“Numerous countries all around the world are being affected by this horror [and] it’s dangerous to pretend we don’t notice. Thank you to the president [and] his team for taking this seriously. God bless every persecuted Christian. Let’s remember to lift them up in prayer.”

Bessent hints SNAP benefits ‘could’ restart Wednesday

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Sunday hinted that SNAP benefits, also known as food stamps, could restart by Wednesday amid speculation that the ongoing government shutdown could interrupt their distribution.

“Could be,” Bessent responded, when CNN’s Jake Tapper pressed on the prospect of resolving the situation by then.

“There’s a process that has to be followed, so we’ve got to figure out what the process is,” he said. “President Trump wants to make sure that people get their food benefits.”

The More People Complain About SNAP Lapses The More It’s Obvious The Program Is A Scam

As Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits dry up during Democrats’ government shutdown, the left-wing media along with millions of Americans reliant on SNAP are complaining about the lapse in coverage. But mixed into these complaints is a viral article highlighting that roughly 90,000 noncitizens will also lose SNAP access — not because of the shutdown, but because of the One Big Beautiful Bill. Advocates for noncitizens using taxpayer-funded welfare are using the moment of outrage about SNAP benefits pausing to pile on their grievances.

Americans are realizing, many for the first time, just how much SNAP has been exploited to pay for noncitizens’ groceries.

Democrats shut the government down after refusing more than a dozen times to vote on a clean continuing resolution to keep the government open and funded as appropriations negotiations play out. As a result of Democrats’ shutdown, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is set to be cut off on Saturday.

Republicans’ Surprising Performances in Key Governor Races

Virginia’s and New Jersey’s gubernatorial races show the Republican candidates currently matching or beating Donald Trump’s past presidential margins. …

In Virginia, the Republican, Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, has been trailing the Democrat, former Rep. Abigail Spanberger, by double digits as recently as the beginning of October. Before Republican Glenn Youngkin upset Democrat Terry McAuliffe’s bid for a second term in 2021, four of Virginia’s previous five governors had been Democrats. …

In New Jersey, the Republican, former state Rep. Jack Ciattarelli, has been trailing the Democrat, former Rep. Mikie Sherrill, by double digits as recently as the beginning of September. …

Reasonable expectations would consider both states comfortable for Democrats in this year’s gubernatorial races … However, polls have shown both races tightening dramatically in their final weeks.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul Gives Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz $35 Million

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Friday that the state will redirect more than $35 million in taxpayer funds to the Planned Parenthood Abortion business to offset federal Medicaid cuts, a move pro-life advocates decried as a blatant subsidy for the nation’s largest abortion company at the expense of vulnerable women and unborn children. The funding, allocated across five Planned Parenthood affiliates operating 47 clinics statewide, aims to sustain the abortion giant after defending under the bill Congress passed this year.

The cuts, enacted through H.R.1 — dubbed the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” — were signed by President Donald Trump in July, stopping the nation’s largest abortion chain from getting tax dollars to enhance its business killing babies.

Movement Barrels Forward To Euthanize 12 Year Old Children In Canada

Advocates for assisted suicide in Canada, where it’s been legal for just under a decade, are pushing to expand the practice to children.

Canada’s euthanasia program, known as MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying), started back in 2016 for people whose natural death was “reasonably foreseeable” and wanted to end their lives. It’s already been expanded — both expanding the pool of adults who are eligible and how it can be administered, leading to an explosion of suicides in recent years.

Now, groups are calling for minors as young as 12 years old to be included in the government-funded suicide program. One advocacy group, called “Dying With Dignity Canada,” recommends minors as young as 12 be included in the program, and goes as far as to suggest 16 and 17-year-olds shouldn’t even need parental consent to be killed by a doctor if they fit broad criteria.

Churches offer prayers after ‘deeply distressing’ stabbings on London-bound train: Eleven people hospitalised after mass stabbing attack on service from Doncaster to King’s Cross

IN CHURCHES across England on Sunday, prayers were focused on the “appalling violence” carried out on a train from Doncaster to London the previous night, the Bishop of Huntingdon, the Rt Revd Dagmar Winter, has said.

Mel Gibson faces backlash from conservatives after casting pro-choice actor as Virgin Mary

Actor-turned-director Mel Gibson has angered far-right Polish groups with the casting of a pro-choice activist in his new film, The Resurrection of the Christ.

Polish-born actor Kasia Smutniak, known in her country for being a supporter of women’s rights, will star as Jesus’s mother, Mary, in Gibson’s long-delayed sequel to his 2004 biblical epic, The Passion of Christ.

Supporters of Poland’s right-wing Law and Justice party (PiS) have reportedly written to Gibson’s Icon Productions banner, protesting Smutniak’s casting. They’ve cited her support for the Strajk Kobiet (“Women’s Strike”) movement, a nationwide campaign against Poland’s strict abortion laws, per local outlet PolskiRadio.

Arizona Bishop Endorses Prop 409 That Would Use Taxpayer Dollars to Fund Leading LGBTQ Hospital – Catholics React

State Proposition 409 would fund a $900 million bond for Valleywise Health, which in turn supports gender transitions.

The president of Catholics For Catholics is asking the Bishop of Phoenix John Dolan to reconsider his support for state Proposition 409, which would provide additional taxpayer funds to Valleywise Health, a hospital that is deeply invested in gender transition procedures.

Bishop Dolan has given his public support for Proposition 409, the state measure that would use $900 million to build a new 200-bed behavioral health hospital, a new outpatient specialty center on the main campus, expand pediatric and primary care and physician training.

German Catholic Bishops’ Conference publishes ‘queer guidelines’ for schools

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Germany released a guideline for schools titled “Created, Redeemed, and Loved,” encouraging educators to address sexual identity in lessons.

Teachers are advised to represent diverse sexual orientations and foster a critical reflection on gender roles. The document encourages respect for “queer students” and promotes the use of inclusive language.

It also suggests that schools communicate their status as “schools of diversity” and reassess traditional gender norms. The guideline has drawn criticism for potentially undermining core Catholic teachings on sexuality and gender.

The now-published guide reveals that the German Bishops’ Conference is increasingly deviating from the fundamental teachings of the Catholic Church and the Bible in its guidelines for schools.
