Lawless State: California Democrats Pass ‘Stop Nick Shirley Act’ – Journalists will Be Fined THOU$ANDS For Recording and Exposing Fraud Inside Immigration Support Service Providers

California Democrats on Wednesday passed AB 2624, dubbed the ‘Stop Nick Shirley Act’ by Republicans. The bill, introduced by Democrat Assemblywoman Mia Bonta, restricts the release of investigative videos exposing immigration support service providers.

Mia Bonta is married to California’s radical far-left Attorney General Rob Bonta.

The California Democrats got to work on AB 2624 earlier this year after investigative journalist Nick Shirley exposed rampant hospice and daycare fraud.

The bill will fine journalists (and regular citizens) a minimum of $4,000 for exposing potential fraud inside certain immigration support service providers.

The bill passed the California Senate on Tuesday and was sent back to the Assembly for final passage on Wednesday.

Governor Newsom is expected to sign the bill

On the verge of the passage of the Stop Nick Shirley Act, Nick Shirley confronts the protectors of fraud in California

California’s Attorney General’s wife has created a bill titled AB 2624 (aka the Stop Nick Shirley Act) that will fine citizens and journalists a minimum $4,000 for exposing and searching for potential fraud inside Immigration Support Service Providers and take away their First Amendment rights.

Instead of pushing for more transparency, California is trying to shield journalists and citizens from looking into where their tax dollars are going. California politicians need the fraud to continue. – Nick Shirley

Alina Habba Shuts Down Speculation She Could Be Next White House Press Secretary

Alina Habba shut down speculation on Wednesday that she could become the next White House press secretary.

Habba denied speculation that she could be in line for a new job after becoming the betting favorite to serve as White House press secretary.

“Flattered by the Kalshi [US federally regulated prediction market] odds, but I’m not in the running for any job,” Habba said. “However, if I’m getting a new one, I’d love for one of these anonymous sources to let me know first.”

“Fake news remains the undefeated champ … well … until I come at them,” she added.

Habba currently leads Kalshi’s prediction on who could become the next White House press secretary. Habba stands at 38 percent, followed by CNN commentator Scott Jennings at 28 percent and White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly at 14 percent.

Bishop Paprocki of Springfield [Illinois] says Catholic politicians cannot separate faith from public life

Bishop Thomas Paprocki has spoken about Catholic politicians, abortion and the decline of cultural Christianity, insisting that Catholics in public life should not “shelve or compartmentalize” their beliefs

Bishop Thomas Paprocki of Springfield in Illinois has said that Catholics, particularly those holding public office, cannot separate their faith from their public responsibilities.

“Our faith is not something private,” Bishop Paprocki said in an interview on The Catholic Theology Show. His Excellency stated: “No, our faith should spill over into our public lives and make a difference.”

The bishop said that Catholic politicians should not feel compelled to hide or dilute their beliefs because those beliefs conflict with the position of a political party or are unpopular in wider society. Instead, His Excellency argued, Catholics in public life should apply the principles of their faith when considering questions of law and public policy. “A Catholic politician shouldn’t feel that he or she has to somehow scale back their beliefs,” Bishop Paprocki said.

The bishop specifically addressed the argument sometimes made by Catholic politicians who support legal abortion while claiming to be personally opposed to it, a line which Joe Biden famously took. Such politicians, he said, can argue that they do not want to impose their beliefs on others. Bishop Paprocki questioned why that reasoning is applied particularly to abortion.

The Story of McKenna West Shows the Moral Insanity of Commercial Surrogacy by Auguste Meyrat

The reality that surrogacy shamelessly commodifies children is on full display in the case of the surrogate mother who refused to abort her child.

In case anyone doesn’t think that surrogacy shamelessly commodifies children, exploits women, and is an utterly evil and dehumanizing process, they should pay attention to the story unfolding in Texas with surrogate mother McKenna West and her baby Gabriel.

Originally from Alaska, West was contracted to carry a baby for California couple Nausheen Gilkar and Omar Ahmed. At 20 weeks, an ultrasound revealed that the baby had a congenital heart defect that would require immediate medical treatment after his birth. When the intended parents learned about this, they demanded that West abort the baby, evidently not wanting to deal with the hassle of heart surgery. Although contractually obligated to comply with the couple’s demands, West refused to abort Gabriel and sought custody of the baby in an Alaska court, which then punted the matter by redirecting her to a court in California to make the decision. …

Nigerian bishop warns Church is losing ‘moral authority’ in Europe

A Nigerian diocesan bishop has warned that the “moral authority” of the Church in Europe has been undermined by the “embrace of secular power”.

Missionaries were once sent from Europe to Africa, but now the relationship is a two-way street with African clergy often having to assist European dioceses due to lack of clergy numbers amid a more general decline of the Faith in the West.

For Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah of the Diocese of Sokoto in northern Nigeria, the Church must recall the Apostolic days and the spirit of the first bishops. “We should continue to ask ourselves why and how a group of eleven frightened and largely uneducated men would have taken the gospel to the ends of the earth as the apostles did?,” he said during a recent interview with Catholic World Report.

The Apostles “did not seek secular power, but relied on the power of the Holy Spirit”, which is where Kukah suggested the Church in Europe has been lacking. …

Police Union Says Migrant Gangs Drag Girls into Ceuta Hills to Group Rape Them

Ceuta’s rape epidemic continues to deepen, with JUPOL warning that groups of Moroccan and North African illegal migrants are dragging girls into secluded mountainous terrain and rape them. 15 cases have already been confirmed since the July mass invasion, while officials are racing to place hundreds of vulnerable migrant girls into emergency accommodation.

Ceuta’s rape epidemic continues as JUPOL, Spain’s largest National Police trade union, described a disturbing practice established by illegal migrants who remained in the Spanish enclave after the 30–31 July mass invasion.

According to JUPOL spokeswoman Laura García, groups of Moroccan and North African illegal migrants drag girls into the mountainous terrain around the local reception centre and sexually assault them.

The area, called Jaral, contains embankments, secluded recesses, and dense vegetation. ‘They hide them there and rape them,’ a JUPOL source cited by an earlier report by El Español explained. Many of these assaults, it continued, are committed in groups.

PARENTS [in Germany] CALL POPE LEO TO HELP: STOP THE GENDER IDEOLOGY IN HAMBURG’S CATHOLIC SCHOOLS!

Catholic parents from the Archdiocese of Hamburg have turned directly to Pope Leo XIV. They ask Rome to intervene against a new sex education concept that carries gender and queer ideology in Catholic schools. So far, families have been waiting in vain for an answer.

In the Archdiocese of Hamburg, the dispute over Catholic schools is escalating. Parents are resisting the framework concept for sex education, which was responsible for by the Archdiocese under Archbishop Stefan Heße. According to a recent report by InfoVaticana, the concept should already be available on 20. August at 15 Catholic schools.

The controversial document is entitled “Male, female, divers”. It deals with issues of gender identity, homosexuality and different family models in a way that is completely incompatible with Catholic anthropology and sexual morality. In particular, sexual education methods are already criticized in the first primary school classes as well as the cooperation with external organizations and activists. In addition, it is not sufficiently clarified to what extent parents can keep their children away from events with LGBT content.

This is about much more than a pedagogical methodological dispute. What else distinguishes a Catholic school from a state school if it follows the current socio-political guidelines in the Christian image of man?
