Karoline Leavitt’s advice to successor on last day at White House: Trump is his ‘own best spokesperson’

Departing White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt offered a simple piece of advice to her yet-to-be-named successor: remember that President Donald Trump is his “own best spokesperson.”

Leavitt told reporters on Thursday outside the West Wing that she and White House communications director Steven Cheung joke that Trump is the “true communications director and press secretary.”

“Just understanding that, knowing that, and believing in the mission,” she said. “I think you guys can all see I believe so much in my heart about what this president is doing every day, the policies he’s enacting. It’s been an honor to speak on behalf of him, and to understand his thinking, and relay it to all of you, but also to the country over the past 20 months, and then again before that on the campaign.”

Democrats PANIC as Trump’s AMAZING Midterm Strategy Is Taking Shape!!!

As the midterms approach, Trump’s strategy to gain Republican seats involves a focus on redistricting, election integrity, targeted financial support, and leveraging public sentiment against extreme Democratic policies. With historical precedents at stake, the Republican Party is uniting to mobilize voters while Democrats grapple with their vulnerabilities. This dynamic shift is reshaping the political narrative as Election Day nears.

Massachusetts High Court Rules Against Saints Statues

The case heads back to a lower state court — and potentially to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Two statues of Catholic saints will remain off of a Massachusetts city’s new public safety building for the foreseeable future, now that the state’s highest court has upheld a lower court order prohibiting them from being erected.

The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled Thursday that the $850,000, 10-foot-tall bronze statues of St. Michael and St. Florian are so closely allied with Catholicism that putting them on a public building would amount to “government preferential treatment of a particular religion,” thus violating the state Constitution.

“The likelihood that these statues of religious figures closely associated with the Catholic faith could be viewed by the public as endorsement of a particular religion, and thus subordination of others, is enhanced by the fact that the statues are not part of a larger collection of statues and monuments that includes nonreligious ones, or statues of figures of particular importance to other religions,” the state’s highest court said in a 34-page decision.

PA Gov. Josh Shapiro and State Health Officials Caught Pushing Fake Measles Death Narrative in Lancaster County — Officials Refuse to Cooperate as County Coroner Confirms ZERO Deaths FROM Measles

The mainstream media and leftist government bureaucrats are at it again, pushing panic, fear, and unverified headlines to control the public narrative, only to get caught red-handed when local officials demand basic transparency.

During a high-profile press conference on Tuesay, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, alongside state health officials and Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, announced that two “measles-associated deaths” occurred in Lancaster County.

The legacy media immediately ran with the headlines. Two people died FROM measles. Case closed. Get the shot. Blame the unvaccinated. Blame RFK Jr.

Lancaster County [PA] Commissioner takes issue with Gov. Shapiro’s ‘measles-associated deaths’ coverage

‘Any deaths from measles are required by law to be reported to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office. I have spoken at length with both a senior staff member from that office and the Coroner himself. They currently have zero measles deaths in Lancaster County. They have one death of a person who died WITH measles, but not from measles. We do not know if the state is counting that one. Nor do we know anything about the other death that officials reported yesterday.’ – Josh Parsons, Lancaster County [PA] Commissioner

Clarence Thomas Drops the Mic, Eviscerates Leftist Racial Loyalty Test as Indentured Servitude [in interview with Ted Cruz]

The conservative jurist says his life and career stand as a direct rebuke to that racial pressure.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is rejecting one of the left’s most stubborn demands, the notion that Black Americans owe their political loyalty to liberalism. …

As a young man, Thomas embraced radical leftist politics and participated in a protest against the Vietnam War at Harvard Square in April 1970. The demonstration descended into an angry riot, forcing him to confront where rage and political resentment were leading him.

“I think that was the Road to Damascus moment. That’s the moment where you look into the abyss, and it looks back,” Thomas said. He admitted that he “couldn’t answer why” he had behaved as he did during the chaos.

Exhausted and unable to sleep afterward, Thomas walked to a chapel and prayed for God to remove the hatred from his heart.

“And that was the moment for me, when I began to move in a more positive direction.”

Taybeh Christians seek action after Israeli envoy downplays severity of attacks

Christian leaders in the Holy Land said the Israeli ambassador to the Holy See’s characterization was inconsistent with the documented pattern of attacks and incursions affecting Taybeh.

Comments by Israel’s ambassador to the Holy See, Yaron Sideman, about the West Bank town of Taybeh have drawn attention among local Church leaders after he condemned the violence there but disputed accounts of its seriousness.

Speaking at the Meeting for Friendship Among Peoples in Rimini, Italy, Sideman said that “any act of violence against anyone is unacceptable” and that those responsible should be dealt with according to the law. However, he added that the situation in Taybeh had been “described in far more serious terms than it actually is.”

Sideman maintained that Israel is governed by the rule of law and guarantees religious freedom. He also assured pilgrims that visiting the holy sites is safe and encouraged them to return to the Holy Land.

The Observatory for the Christian Presence in the Holy Land said the ambassador’s characterization was inconsistent with the documented pattern of attacks and incursions affecting Taybeh — the last town in the

West Bank with an entirely Christian population.

Dolly Parton Was a Mother to the World by Jeffrey Blehar

… So let me explain to you what Dolly Parton meant to me, and why I’ve had tears rimming my eyes occasionally over the past 24 hours, as a man who knows almost nothing of Parton’s music outside the biggest and most unavoidable of her hits. Her spirit will linger on, not just for the next week or so but long afterward. So many have written already about the grand and generous upward arc of her life story, from rural poverty to universally beloved fame. Instead, I can only write about Parton from the sole perspective on which I count myself a true authority — my own. …

Back when my mother passed away, in 2021, I went home to Maryland for the first time in many years. During that time — and back when I still had a functioning CD-ROM on my laptop — I had occasion to revisit all of my dad’s old home videos, dutifully transferred from a 1984 JVC camcorder to VHS to digital bits. …

But when I was reviewing those old videos, I found a clip …

If I should stay
Well I would only be in your way
And so I’ll go, and yet I know
I’ll think of you each step of the way
And I will always love you
I will always love you

I can offer no better tribute to Parton than to say that she wrote the songs your mother sang to you when you were sad or scared. Parton never had kids herself — acute endometriosis made that an impossibility — but, in her music, her charity, and her eternal spirit, she became a mother to the world.
