Trump to lead Board of Peace inaugural meeting

The worldwide Board of Peace is set to meet Thursday in Washington for its inaugural meeting, bringing together representatives from nearly 50 nations with a focus on rebuilding Gaza.

President Donald Trump has announced a $5 billion pledge from partner nations for Gaza reconstruction. However, it is unclear how much each partner nation will be contributing, including America.

Trump has indicated that part of the reconstruction effort will include thousands of personnel who will be committed as part of an international stabilization force.

The president will be serving as the board’s chairman, which was announced last fall. Israel, along with several Arab nations, has agreed to join the board.

If GOP Wants To Win The Midterms, They Need To Pass The SAVE Act: The Federalist’s CEO

Republicans worried about losing in the upcoming November midterms can bolster turnout by delivering on the promises they made to voters — including passing the SAVE America Act, The Federalist’s CEO and cofounder Sean Davis said on Jesse Watters Primetime.

Republicans, who appear slated to lose the House, are also now reportedly worried about losing control of the Senate as well. Guest host Rachel Campos-Duffy asked Davis what Republicans need to do to win the midterms.
“While Trump’s policies are really popular, the Republicans in Congress themselves are not that popular and Trump isn’t on the ballot. So you’ve got Dems all jacked up to … vote against Republicans, but what Republicans need to do is to deliver on the things they said they were going to do,” Davis said.

Mamdani Threatens 9.5% Property Tax Increase if Wealth Tax Is Not Passed

Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Tuesday proposed to raise property tax rates in New York City by nearly 10 percent, a measure he is preparing as a “last resort” to be deployed if he cannot persuade Gov. Kathy Hochul to raise income taxes on the wealthy.

The suggested 9.5 percent increase would affect more than three million single-family homes, co-ops and condos and over 100,000 commercial buildings, Mr. Mamdani said as he delivered his preliminary spending plan.

The mayor acknowledged that his proposal would not merely force the wealthy to pay more taxes, but would also be a “tax on working- and middle-class New Yorkers,” and stressed that this was not his first choice.

But he noted that New York City mayors had little authority to raise taxes without the governor’s and Legislature’s acquiescence, and said that a city property tax increase — combined with raiding the city’s reserve funds — was the only way to address a looming budget deficit projected to reach $5.4 billion over two years.

California voters’ disapproval of Gavin Newsom hits highest level since 2024, poll shows

More California voters are now unhappy with Governor Gavin Newsom than at any point since 2024, according to a new poll.

A new survey by Emerson College found that 45% of voters disapprove of the governor’s job performance—the highest number since October 2024 and a six-point increase from December 2025.

Among 1,000 registered voters, Newsom had an approval rate of 44%, a three-point drop from December, the poll found.

In October 2024, the governor’s disapproval rating stood at just 43%.

Report: Cards with Jimmy Lai’s sketch of Christ Crucified and prayer are circulating in London

From p. 2: ‘We are all created to His glory. We are created to do His will. Therefore, I will trust Him. Whatever, wherever I am, I can never be thrown away. My sickness, or my perplexity, or my sorrow may be necessary causes of some great end, which is beyond us. He does nothing in vain. Lord, deign to fulfill your high purposes in me whatever they may be—work in me and through me.’
