POTUS: Trump Accounts Will ‘Put $3-$4 Trillion of Wealth’ in Young Americans’ Hands

President Donald Trump forecasted at Wednesday’s Trump Accounts Summit that the investment accounts will “put $3-$4 trillion of wealth into the hands of young Americans” over the next 15 years.

Trump delivered the keynote remarks at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in the nation’s capital at the launch event, touting the “first generation of Trump Account children.”

“We’re going to give every newborn American child a financial stake in the future, head start on life, and a fair shot at the American dream,” Trump added.

The president estimated that over the next decade and a half, Trump accounts will give young Americans a combined $3 trillion to $4 trillion in wealth.

Trump Accounts: The Defining Policy of America’s 250th Anniversary – Secretary Scott Bessent

Three pillars of America’s social contract are embedded in the Declaration of Independence: “Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” Few know that Jefferson borrowed this phrase from John Locke, who famously underscored the centrality of “life, liberty, and property.”

Property and the pursuit of happiness, in other words, are deeply intertwined—and for our Founding Fathers, they were one and the same. Property, or put another way, ownership is essential to dignity and human flourishing. This was the ideal our nation was founded on in 1776. And it is the ideal our nation is being re-founded on in 2026.

In that sense, Trump Accounts are the defining policy of America’s 250th anniversary. By expanding equity ownership to all citizens, President Trump is restoring the promise of our Founding, revitalizing the social contract, and helping secure American prosperity for the next 250 years. All families can participate and own part of the American Dream.

Nicki Minaj calls herself Trump’s ‘No. 1 fan’ as hand-holding moment goes viral at Treasury event

Rapper Nicki Minaj is not backing down in her support for President Donald Trump.

Minaj and Trump went viral on Wednesday after they were photographed holding hands at the U.S. Treasury Department’s Trump Accounts Summit.

The rapper also called herself Trump’s “number one fan.” …

She also spoke about “the average politician,” noting why she thinks Trump is different.

“They’re just a politician who may want to be a celebrity. They don’t care if their policies work two months from now, two minutes from now. They don’t care if they inspire the next generation. They just care about getting in office,” she said. “[Trump] is a different human being. This is a different president. This is a different kind of leader. This is a businessman and an authentic human being. So when he says he wants to contribute something long term way after he’s in office, that’s what he means.”

Vance Joins Trump in Zinging Frey Over Federal Agents’ Safety

Vance hit back on social media.

“How about federal law enforcement,” Vance wrote in a post on X. “Should they feel safe calling 911?” he added.

Mystery substance sprayed at Ilhan Omar during town hall event identified as apple cider vinegar

The previously unidentified substance sprayed at Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) during her Tuesday night town hall has been identified as apple cider vinegar.

Suspect Anthony James Kazmierczak, 55, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, charged toward Omar while she stood behind a podium at a town hall event in northern Minneapolis on Tuesday evening. The suspect then sprayed her with the substance through a syringe before being tackled to the ground by security.

Omar’s office confirmed to the Washington Examiner that the substance sprayed was apple cider vinegar. Several people at the town hall said they noticed a strong vinegar scent in the air after the man sprayed the substance.

The incident came just hours before Capitol Police released its 2025 threat assessment case annual numbers, which showed about a 37% increase in threat concerns toward members of Congress, their staff and families, and Capitol grounds, increasing from 9,474 cases in 2024 to 14,938 in 2025.

Judge: Virginia Democrats’ Gerrymandering Ploy Is Illegal And Voided

Virginia judge has shot down efforts by state Democrats to gerrymander the commonwealth in their party’s favor ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

In his Tuesday decision, Tazewell County Circuit Judge Jack Hurley ruled that Democrat lawmakers unlawfully rushed a constitutional amendment proposal — which would allow them to redraw the state’s congressional map — through the General Assembly. As The Federalist’s Breccan Thies recently reported, Democrats’ proposed map “could nuke up to four Republican-held seats” and create “a potential [congressional] delegation of 10 Democrats and one Republican.”

Under the Virginia Constitution, proposed amendments must first be passed by both chambers of the General Assembly in two consecutive legislative sessions. Should they receive such approval, these measures are then submitted to voters for consideration “not sooner than ninety days after final passage by the General Assembly,” and must receive majority support from the electorate to ratify the state’s founding document.

Texas AG Ken Paxton Sues to Stop Abortion Pills From Out of State

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is suing a Delaware-based nurse practitioner for reportedly shipping dangerous abortion-inducing drugs into the state.

This is the latest effort to shield unborn children and women from out-of-state abortion pill sellers skirting Texas’ pro-life laws.

The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in Jefferson County District Court, targets abortionist Debra Lynch, who operates the telemedicine group Her Safe Harbor, along with Delaware Community Care LLC. Paxton alleges Lynch has “knowingly and willfully” violated Texas law by distributing chemical abortion pills to Texas residents, despite the state’s strict ban on abortions except in medical emergencies and only when done by licensed physicians.

In a statement, Paxton said, “The day of reckoning for this radical out-of-state abortion drug trafficker is here.” He added, “No one, regardless of where they live, will be freely allowed to aid in the murder of unborn children in Texas.”

House Probes Two Hospitals for Allegedly Letting Rich Foreign Patients Jump Ahead of Americans for Organ Transplants

A congressional probe is investigating two major hospitals being accused of favoring rich foreign patients to bypass U.S. citizens waiting for an organ transplant, as thousands of Americans die each year waiting for an operation.

According to a story by Fox News, House lawmakers Reps. Jason Smith, R-Mo., and David Schweikert, R-Ariz., who lead the House Ways and Means Committee’s oversight effort, sent letters Tuesday to the University of Chicago Medical Center and Montefiore Medical Center in New York, insisting for records by Feb. 10 and threatening that they will issue subpoenas if the hospitals fail to provide them.

The New York Times first reported that allegations assert that the tax-exempt medical facilities transplanted organs obtained from American donors into foreign nationals who went to the U.S. exclusively to receive transplants, essentially jumping ahead of U.S. patients. Smith and Schweikert said the alleged actions probably sidestepped Americans on transplant waiting lists, potentially resulting in loss of life.
