Trump claims Dems ‘trying to steal’ California primaries, launches probe into sluggish vote counts
President Trump claimed the Democrats are “trying to steal” the California gubernatorial and the Los Angeles mayoral primaries – and launched a probe into the state’s sluggish vote count.
Trump fumed Thursday over how votes in California are trickling in two days after polls closed – and the results of the elections may not be known for several weeks due to the vast amount of mail-in ballots that need to be processed.
“The Dumocrats are at it again,” Trump raged on Truth Social.
“They are trying to STEAL THE GOVERNOR OF CALIFORNIA PRIMARY, AND THE MAYOR OF LOS ANGELES, PRIMARY, AWAY FROM TWO GREAT REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES. Here we go with the very late and massive numbers of MAIL IN BALLOTS.”
Trump announced a probe into the slow vote counting has been launched — but it’s unclear who initiated the investigation.
“There’s big cheating by the Dumocrats in California. Votes are all tied up. May not be in for weeks” Trump blasted in another post. “Under investigation by the US Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles. Why [is] the vote counting delay???”
California’s vote count often stretches beyond Election Day because officials must verify signatures, process millions of vote-by-mail ballots, and conduct required audits before certifying results.

California’s Latest Election Mess Demands Supreme Court Cleanup by M.D. Kittle
A looming U.S. Supreme Court ruling could end the seemingly endless Election Day of California and other blue and red states.
As of the close of the business day Wednesday, California election officials had counted a little over half of the votes cast in Tuesday’s primary election for governor. It could take days, if not weeks, until the election results are final.
A full day after the polls closed, the election was “too early to call,” according to NBC News. Steve Hilton, a former Fox News host endorsed by President Donald Trump, led Xavier Becerra, the Biden administration’s bumbling Health and Human Services secretary, by 2 percentage points — 27.6 percent to 25.6 percent. Billionaire climate change cult leader Tom Steyer was in third with 19.8 percent of the vote.
The top two vote-getters move on to November’s general election.
When will we know the final tally? Who knows? As The Federalist’s Hayden Daniel quipped, “Colombia, a mountainous country infested with drug lords and guerrillas, is counting its votes more efficiently than the state of California.”
California is Exhibit A in the argument to Make Election Day Election Day Again.
Thanks to the Golden State’s muddled universal mail-in voting and generous grace period — seven days — for ballots postmarked by Election Day to be counted, the electoral waiting game has become a frustrating way of life. Not just for California voters, but for the entire representative democracy. In 2024, California’s extended Election Day forced the country to wait more than a month to learn the majority-minority power balance in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The Biden Administration’s Clandestine 5-Year Plan To Trans Child Welfare
The plan would have fundamentally changed child welfare across the country — enshrining transgenderism in federal law without a single vote. …
… A 78-page plan reviewed by The Daily Wire shows how the Biden administration was planning to make affirming transgenderism the national standard within child welfare services without having to pass a single law. The crux of that plan was the creation of the Child Welfare Sexual Orientation Gender Identity and Expression Institute (SOGIE). Funded by a $20 million grant from the Department of Health and Human Services, SOGIE was on track to employ a 40-person team to push transgenderism on child welfare agencies across the country.
“This is a comprehensive, detailed strategy to turn child welfare systems in all 50 states into training camps and havens for radical gender ideology,” Laura Hanford, the senior policy analyst at the Richard and Helen DeVos Center for Human Flourishing, told The Daily Wire. “Not a word about the major risks of sex-rejecting procedures, or about the comorbidities for gender confusion and its high correlation with sexual abuse, especially in such a vulnerable population.” …
Angela Weeks, a University of Connecticut employee tasked with administering the SOGIE grant, wrote to colleagues in August 2024 that “we wrote a proposal that was innovative, so much so that some other reviewers thought we should tone it down.”
But “we chose to go big,” Weeks said, adding that it was “thrilling to see” the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), an agency within HHS, “wanted a contractor who would lead this work in a way that can create real change.”
The Biden administration first mentioned the SOGIE Institute in January 2023, when HHS announced it was looking for a contractor to help its Children’s Bureau address the “unique needs of transgender and gender diverse individuals” in child welfare systems. This was pursuant to Biden’s Executive Order 14075, which mandated the federal government “combat unlawful discrimination” and “address the significant disparities that LGBTQI+ youth face in the foster care system.” …

The Anti-ICE Protest Industry and the Derangement Behind the Demonstrations
This week, the infamous, much-too-organized anti-ICE protesters have made their way to Delaney Hall Newark Federal Detention Center, and it’s just what you would expect. Their state-of-the-art inhalers, tents, and endless supply of food is almost laughable. At least look like you aren’t funded by dark money Left-wing foundations. But maybe some of their time in prison will teach them what the word “illegal” means.

U.S. bishops issue wish list to Congress on funding for migration
“Our perspectives on these matters are grounded in Scripture and Catholic teaching, including our belief in the inherent and inviolable dignity of every person,” U.S. bishops wrote to lawmakers.
U.S. bishops urged Congress to reauthorize the Religious Worker Visa Program, protect refugee services and unaccompanied children, and reject expanded enforcement and detention measures, warning that mass‑deportation policies would undermine due process and separate families.
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) sent a list of immigration-related requests to lawmakers June 1 as they are set to vote on fiscal 2027 appropriations.
In a letter sent to leaders of the House and Senate Appropriations Committees, Bishop Brendan J. Cahill of Victoria, Texas, wrote on behalf of the USCCB asking the committee to consider “additional priorities” in connection “to human life and dignity.”
“The well-being of immigrants, refugees, unaccompanied noncitizen children, victims of trafficking, and other populations, as well as our immigration system in general, is of deep concern to the Catholic Church,” wrote Cahill, chair of the bishops’ Committee on Migration.

Britain’s Censorship Regime Was Always Going To Get People Like Henry Nowak Killed by Elle Purnell
The U.K.’s censorship regime indulges the idea that people who hold certain beliefs do not deserve to live freely — or at all.
Henry Nowak, an 18-year-old Briton who died in police custody in December, got a death sentence for a thoughtcrime he never committed.
Newly released bodycam footage of Nowak’s arrest shows police arriving at a residential driveway to find Nowak bleeding on the ground. A Sikh man named Vickrum Digwa, who would eventually be convicted of fatally stabbing Nowak with a blade that only Sikhs are allowed to carry in Britain, falsely claimed to police that Nowak had treated him with racial animus. Evidently believing Digwa’s accusations but not Nowak’s cries for help, the police rolled Nowak’s limp body over and placed handcuffs on his wrists. In response to his repeated pleas for treatment of his stab wounds, police can be heard telling him, “I don’t think you have [been stabbed], mate.” He died moments after police read him his rights as an accused criminal.
Digwa was convicted of murder and was sentenced on Monday. He can be eligible for parole in as few as 21 years. During the trial, the judge concluded “that Nowak had not said anything racist to the Sikh man who killed him,” according to the BBC.

Detroit priest helps detain suspected car thief after crash
A Detroit priest tackled and detained a suspected car thief until police arrived after a car crash outside a historic church on June 1.
Father Canon Jean-Baptiste Commins of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest said he was in the parking lot of St. Joseph Shrine on June 1 when he heard tires screech and a loud crash. He ran toward the scene and saw a young man fleeing, according to FOX2 Detroit.
“I grabbed him [and] put him down,” said Father Commins told the outlet. “He was resisting a lot, trying to run away, definitely, and so I had to unfortunately give him a few punches and hurt my hand a little bit.”
Father Commins said bystanders urged him to stop the man. The priest tackled the suspect and, with the help of another church member, held him until police arrived. …
The Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, to which Father Commins belongs, is a community dedicated to traditional liturgy and the advancement of Christ’s kingship in the world. …
Asked what he did following the action-packed incident, Father Commins said he simply “went and had to do my prayers as usual, and have dinner with the community.”
He added with a laugh: “Just another day in the D.”

Islamic State Killing Christians Across DR Congo: More Than 1,100 Dead and No End in Sight
While Christians are being slaughtered and kidnapped on a daily basis in Nigeria, Christians are also being massacred in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Like in Nigeria, the perpetrators are not Mennonites. They are Islamic extremists.
Islamist terrorists killed 57 Christians over a week-long period ending June 2, 2026, in the Beni region of North Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Islamic State Central Africa Province (ISCAP) slaughtered 16 Christians in the village of Mayangose on May 31. A day earlier, 10 believers from the same village were captured and executed.
In a separate attack on May 30, fighters from the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), the Ugandan-origin Islamist group that operates in eastern Congo as the Islamic State’s Central Africa Province, killed at least seven Christians in Beni’s Ngadi neighborhood. The victims were members of the Pygmy Twa ethnic community. Their escape routes were blocked before they were shot.
