PRESIDENT TRUMP MAKES STOP IN PENDLETON, SOUTH CAROLINA [ARTICLE]

President Donald Trump was in Pendleton, South Carolina, on Wednesday as he travels the country ahead of the midterm elections. …

Trump is rallying support for his congressional pick, Sen. Darline Graham, two weeks ahead of the general midterm election. …

Phil Carter, a former Secret Service agent, said sweeping, clearing and securing for a POTUS visit begins long before the president’s landing.

“They’ve got the bodies, they’ve got the manpower, they’ve got the technology, and they’ve got all the time in the world,” Carter said.

Heightened security and law enforcement presence are typical, even on surrounding bodies of water, like Lake Hartwell. Carter calls this a “zero-fail mission.” The task to ensure rallies are safe for everyone involved is immense.

“I think Pennsylvania was really the turning point. Pennsylvania, the assassination attempt, was a hot mess. They’ve tightened down and refocused what they’re trying to do,” Carter said.

WEDGEWOOD ADMITS FABRICATING POLLS; MCMORROW: THEIR ‘EXPERIMENT’ DAMAGED CAMPAIGN [ARTICLE]

An outfit calling itself “Wedgewood Polls” admitted today that its results were mostly fabricated, prompting former Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Mallory McMorrow to describe how a June release from Wedgewood placing her at 9% damaged fundraising, devastated volunteers and intensified pressure to leave the race.

The organization characterized itself as an “experimental project” intended to expose inadequate scrutiny of political polling. Its statement acknowledged that the vast majority of its releases lacked real survey data, while claiming one crowdfunded Nebraska poll was legitimate.

Its June 29 Michigan release placed McMorrow at 9% in the Democratic primary, behind Abdul El-Sayed at 46% and U.S. Rep. Haley Stevens at 39%, with 6% undecided. It claimed to have surveyed 353 likely Democratic primary voters from June 25–28.

The release also portrayed McMorrow as the weakest Democrat against Republican Mike Rogers. Its purported general-election results showed Rogers leading McMorrow 48% to 41%, Stevens tied with Rogers at 46%, and El-Sayed leading Rogers 49% to 44%.

The nine-page document included demographic breakdowns and detailed claims about sampling, weighting and safeguards against fraudulent responses.

McMorrow, a Democratic state senator from Royal Oak, said the release contradicted her campaign’s internal polling but had immediate consequences.

“Donations dried up,” she wrote on X. “Volunteers were devastated and pleading for guidance on what to do.”

She said reporters hounded her with calls to drop out. …

CIA SPOOK SLOTKIN DOUBLES DOWN ON THREAT TO DESTROY YOUNG CONSERVATIVE STAFFERS BY BRECCAN F. THEIS [ARTICLE]

Slotkin has a history of calling to jail her political enemies.

Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., a former CIA operative, doubled down on her threats to maliciously prosecute Republican staffers and scare young conservatives away from serving in the Trump administration, pretending to be the victim of “weaponization” instead of an advocate for it.

Last week, Slotkin said she wanted a tacit threat of personal and professional ruin for any young conservative contemplating working for the Trump administration, stating, “I want to look at these signature cases and not just focus on the president, but on the people who enabled him. I want young people coming out of school to say, ‘Should I go work for the Trump administration? Like that sounds fun. I might get an opportunity.’ I want them to be like, ‘Lord, that might be buying myself a ton of problems that I don’t want, and so let me avoid participating in that.’ I want that deterrence message.”

The comments landed her an ethics complaint from the Center to Advance Security in America (CASA), which reads in part, “Threatening young professionals with future ‘problems’ for the mere sin of working for the President that the American People elected is an anathema to the very foundations of our political systems. It is already immoral to weaponize our government against those running for office or who have been elected in the form of lawfare. But it is another level to weaponize it against those who are entering their careers as public servants.”
