Trump rallies for Ken Paxton in Texas Senate race

With polls showing a competitive race, President Donald Trump urged Texans to preserve Republican control of Congress and cast Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s election as critical to advancing his agenda.

President Donald Trump rallied in San Antonio Oct. 7 for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s U.S. Senate bid, urging voters to elect the Republican nominee and warning that a Democratic victory would threaten his administration’s agenda.

Speaking at Freeman Coliseum, where he took the stage for about an hour and 45 minutes, Trump praised Paxton’s record as attorney general and repeatedly attacked his Democratic opponent, state Rep. James Talarico, whom he called “Talafreako” throughout his speech. The rally came less than a month before the Nov. 3 election.

“He’ll be one of the best senators that we have in this country,” Trump said of Paxton. “You watch. I know my people.”

Trump says ‘nobody knows’ where Talarico is

President Donald Trump visited San Antonio to campaign for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and to take aim at his Democratic U.S. Senate opponent, James Talarico, mocking the candidate’s name and questioning his absence from the campaign trail.

Trump, who traveled to the Alamo City with U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz for Paxton’s “Midterm Rally,” repeatedly referred to Talarico as “Talafreako” and suggested the Democrat had disappeared in the final weeks before the Nov. 3 midterm elections.

“You haven’t seen him in a couple of weeks,” Trump told the crowd. “I hear the guy has disappeared — nobody knows. You know where he is? He’s sick because he’s forced to eat meat for political reasons and he’s throwing up all over the place.”

“We’re all looking and no one can find the guy. Everybody’s been looking for him for two weeks,” Trump continued.

President Says Sending $5,000 Payments Will Be Done ‘Easily’

The president has frequently brought up the possible payments ahead of the midterm elections.

President Donald Trump reiterated on Oct. 6 that he could “very easily” extend $5,000 dividend checks if Republicans are able to maintain both the House of Representatives and the Senate in the approaching midterm elections.

During a Republican rally in Dallas last month, Trump made the proposal to send the payments. Previously, his administration has also sent out payments to people receiving Medicare and to consumers who he said were overcharged in Affordable Care Act health insurance exchanges, according to a story by the Epoch Times.

A reporter asked the President at the White House about the dividend proposal. Trump said, “It’ll work out very easily.”

“It’s going to work out very well, just like we got $1,776 for our military,” he said, referring to $1,776 “warrior dividend” payments that he authorized last year.

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison Suggests Trump Will Try to Steal Midterms, Tells Leftists to be Ready to ‘Take the Streets’

Keith Ellison recently appeared with far left podcaster Dean Obeidallah and suggested that Trump and Republicans will try to ‘steal’ the 2026 midterm elections. He then talks about how the left has to be ready to ‘take the streets’ if this happens. …

Keith Ellison says Republicans mean to cheat in the midterms, and people should be “ready to protest, take to the streets.”

“Don’t act like, oh, they couldn’t mean that. They mean it…So be ready to get your dukes up.”

“I’m one who believes in peaceful protest, First Amendment.”

“But if they try to take our vote away, we should absolutely be in the street. And I’ll be right out there with everybody else.”

So the sitting Minnesota AG is casting doubts on the legitimacy of the election before a vote is counted and warning about firing up street mobilization in response.

Rubio Urges Defense Of Western Civilization At Acropolis: “We Choose The Unapologetic Pursuit Of National Power”

During a trip to Greece today, Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued a call for Europe to help “defend Western civilization” in a speech from the Acropolis in Athens

“Many people are surprised to learn that the most commonly cited author in the Federalist Papers was not an Enlightenment philosopher or political theorist. The most commonly cited author in the Federalist Papers was Plutarch,” Rubio said. “Athens gave us democracy. Plato and Aristotle gave us Western philosophy. Our ideas of law, of virtue, of citizenship and republic and government were shaped in the Greek city-states.”

“Even much of our political vocabulary, words like democracy, tyranny, the word politics itself, found its origins here,” he said. “Now, all of that is true, but the things we owe to this place as Americans and as Westerners are actually far, far deeper.”

“The Greeks did not just shape history. The Greeks gave us history itself.”

Hundreds pray after Virgin Mary statue desecrated in French Island of Corsica

Corsican Catholics answered the destruction of a Marian statue with a public rosary and prayers for the accused men’s conversion.

About 500 people gathered to pray in Corsica, a Mediterranean French island, on Oct. 1 after a statue of the Virgin Mary was torn from its pedestal and damaged during an obscene incident allegedly filmed and shared on social media.

The statue was found on the ground beneath a stone arch at a traffic circle near the southern entrance to the town of Porto-Vecchio. The statue belonged to the local parish, which filed a complaint along with the city, ICI RCFM reported.

Two seasonal hospitality workers, ages 21 and 24, were detained later that morning. According to a statement from the Ajaccio prosecutor’s office reported by Corsican radio station Alta Frequenza, video footage showed one man hanging from the statue, miming a sexual act, and making lewd remarks while the other filmed.

The men are being prosecuted for jointly committing aggravated damage to the statue, to the detriment of the parish and the municipality, and for indecent exposure, Le Figaro reported. They remain presumed innocent and are due to appear before the Ajaccio Criminal Court on Nov. 16.

To Build ‘New France’, the Old Must Burn: LFI Anti-White Agenda behind French Riots

France’s ‘student’ riots have clearly become more than a revolt over schools: they now expose the anti-white politics underpinning Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s ‘New France’ dystopia. As LFI mobilizes around unrest rooted in immigrant-heavy districts, the unrest increasingly appears to be an attempt to dismantle the institutions, culture and demographic order of what the far left describes as ‘Old France’.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon and his far-left France Unbowed (LFI) party are not merely supporting France’s so-called ‘student’ riots. They are trying to turn them into an instrument for dismantling the ‘Old France’ and accelerating the arrival of the ‘New France’ around which Mélenchon has built his 2027 presidential campaign. In that sense, the fires consuming schools are becoming an almost literal image of the far left’s political project: the inherited order is racist, obsolete and dominated by whites; a new one must replace it.

That is why LFI moved so quickly into mobilization. The chaotic scenes emerging from France every day—the ever-growing violence, arson and beatings—all began in September as genuine protests driven by real complaints about teacher shortages, overcrowding and poor infrastructure. By 1 October, however, more than 1,000 high schools had been affected, vandalized or set ablaze, with 222 of them blockaded by rioters.

Cardinal Burke Defends Title ‘Co-Redemptrix’ for the Virgin Mary

The American cardinal said the title affirms Mary’s unique but wholly subordinate cooperation in Christ’s saving work, with Our Lady of Guadalupe offering a vivid expression of that mission.

Cardinal Raymond Burke has stressed that the absolute beginning and perfect model of human cooperation in the Redemption is the Virgin Mother, who, having participated in a wholly unique way in the mystery of the Incarnation and the Passion, is rightly called the Co-Redemptrix.

In a talk that opened a Oct. 7-8 international Rome conference De Maria numquam satis (“Of Mary one can never say enough”), the American cardinal presented Our Lady of Guadalupe as a powerful manifestation of Christ the King and of Mary’s unique cooperation in his redemptive work.

He argued that the title “Co-Redemptrix,” properly understood, does not place Mary on Christ’s level. Christ alone is Redeemer, he said, while Mary’s role is wholly dependent on and subordinate to him. Drawing on Scripture, the Fathers, Lumen Gentium, St John Paul II and Marian theologians, he underlined Mary’s singular participation in the accomplishment of redemption.

Cardinal Burke maintained that Vatican II affirmed the substance of this teaching, even though it avoided the term “Co-Redemptrix” because of possible misunderstanding.

About Our Lady of Good Remedy

800 years ago Christians were being captured and sold into slavery by the thousands, and nobody knew what to do about it. Then, in the year 1198, a man had an idea. St. John of Matha founded the Trinitarians to go to the slave markets, buy the Christian slaves and set them free. To carry out this plan, the Trinitarians needed large amounts of money. So, they placed their fund-raising efforts under the patronage of Mary. They were so successful at that, over the centuries, the Trinitarians were able to free thousands and thousands of people and to return them safely home. In gratitude for her miraculous assistance, St. John of Matha honored Mary with the title of “Our Lady of Good Remedy.” Devotion to Mary under this ancient title is widely known in Europe and Latin America, and the Church celebrates her feast day on October 8. Our Lady of Good Remedy is often depicted as the Virgin Mary handing a bag of money to St. John of Matha. When in need – for whatever reason, but especially where you have had difficulty obtaining help – invoke the aid of Our Lady of Good Remedy, and you will surely experience the power of her intercession.
