President Trump Issues Message on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception

Today, I recognize every American celebrating December 8 as a Holy Day honoring the faith, humility, and love of Mary, mother of Jesus and one of the greatest figures in the Bible.

On the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, Catholics celebrate what they believe to be Mary’s freedom from original sin as the mother of God.  She first entered recorded history as a young woman when, according to Holy Scripture, the Angel Gabriel greeted her in the village of Nazareth with news of a miracle: “Hail, favored one!  The Lord is with you,” announcing that “you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus.”

In one of the most profound and consequential acts of history, Mary heroically accepted God’s will with trust and humility:  “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord.  May it be done to me according to your word.”  Mary’s decision forever altered the course of humanity.  Nine months later, God became man when Mary gave birth to a son, Jesus, who would go on to offer his life on the Cross for the redemption of sins and the salvation of the world. …

DHS creates ‘Worst of the Worst’ webpage of allegedly criminal illegal migrants

The Department of Homeland Security officially launched Monday its “Worst of the Worst” webpage, which features 10,000 of the criminal illegal migrants who have been convicted of the worst crimes.

The page allows users to search for criminal illegal migrants who have been arrested across all 50 states, and who have criminal histories that include homicide, assault, rape, child molestation, cruelty toward a child, drug trafficking and armed robbery.

The department has already been releasing weekly press releases on the “Worst of the Worst” that were arrested that week, but the new page features thousands of illegal migrants and will be updated as new arrests are made.

The Ops Against Pete Hegseth Are Designed To Further A Color Revolution

Pete Hegseth “runs around on a stage talking about lethality and warrior ethos and killing people. … That’s not the message that needs to come from the Secretary of Defense,” complained Sen. Mark Kelly last week.

The message, especially coming from a former Navy captain, is so bizarre it borders on satire. Nations have had organized armies since recorded history started around 3000 B.C. And, in the words of the late, great Rush Limbaugh, the whole point of having a military is to kill people and break things, even if that military is exclusively employed for defensive purposes. Surely even leftists don’t doubt that the United States military should do what militaries have always done, especially when “literal Hitlers” like Putin still hold power.

Trump warns Europe to be ‘very careful’ after EU slaps Musk’s X with $140 million fine

President Donald Trump warned the European Union that it must be “very careful” after its regulators hit Elon Musk‘s X with a $140 million fine.

The European Commission implemented the fine on Friday, saying the penalty was due to the platform providing insufficient access to data and the deceptive design of verified markers for accounts. Trump was asked about the fine on Monday.

“Whoa, that’s a nasty one,” he said of the fine. “Elon has not called me to ask for help on that one. But no, it’s a tough thing. I don’t think it’s right. No, I don’t think it’s right. I don’t see … how they can do that. …

“Look, Europe has to be very careful. They’re doing a lot of things. We want to keep Europe Europe. Europe is going in some bad directions. It’s. very bad, very bad for the people. We don’t want Europe to change so much,” he continued. …

How the US Should Respond to the ‘Orwellian Nightmare’ of the EU, According to Heritage Expert

A Heritage Foundation expert is calling for the United States to respond to the European Union’s fine on the social media platform X and on owner Elon Musk, with sanctions on EU officials and restrictions of travel, including preventing them from attending next year’s World Cup festivities in the U.S.

“We should sanction EU, European Commission officials who are responsible for fining Elon Musk and X,” Nile Gardiner, director of Heritage’s Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom, told The Daily Signal in an interview Monday. “They should not be welcome in the United States. They should be banned from attending the World Cup next summer.”

The EU announced a $140 million fine on X Friday. The European Commission defended the fine as a response to X allegedly misleading users by allowing users to purchase a blue check mark, an identifier that previously symbolized verification.

New Children’s Book Tells Kids Killing Babies in Abortions is Awesome

A new children’s book, Abortion is Everything, is marketed specifically to five- to eight-year-olds—yes, kindergartners and early elementary-aged kids—with one message: abortion is a superpower.

The official book description proudly states:

“Abortion Is Everything speaks directly to five to eight-year-olds about what abortion is, how it might feel, and why people have abortions. With accessible, inclusive language, Abortion Is Everything frames abortion as the actualization of a uniquely human superpower: our capacity to imagine the future and make choices that lead us towards the life we envision. Abortion is a tool that allows human beings to shape our destinies, and which has shaped the entire world around us.” …

Nigeria Investigates Organ-Harvesting Ring After Discovering Mutilated Corpses

Police in the southeastern Nigerian state of Imo are investigating a possible organ-harvesting ring after finding a hideous trove of mutilated corpses at a hotel.

The Imo horror is an especially grim example of Nigeria’s kidnapping epidemic, in which every sort of malevolent group — from Islamic State jihadis to huge bandit gangs and small groups of petty criminals — kidnaps vulnerable people. Sometimes the kidnappers hold their victims for ransom and murder them if the ransom is not paid. In other cases, the abductors are looking for child brides.

In Imo, it appears a kidnapping ring was carving up its victims to harvest their organs. State police said on Monday that during their “ongoing war against kidnapping,” they tracked an unnamed suspect to an illegal mortuary and nearby hotel that he owned.

Catholic congressman visits Nigeria, discusses mass killings of Christians

A U.S. Congressional delegation completed a multi-day visit to Nigeria, where Rep. Riley Moore, R-W.Va., pressed government officials to take stronger action against extremist violence that has devastated Christian communities across the country.

Moore, who chronicled the trip on X, said the group met with federal officials, local leaders, and residents in Benue State — a Middle Belt region repeatedly targeted by Islamist militias and Fulani extremist groups.

“I came to Nigeria in the name of the Lord and on behalf of the American people,” Moore, a Catholic, wrote Dec. 7.

Cardinal Pizzaballa thanks Detroit faithful for ‘spiritual closeness’ to the Holy Land

Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, OFM, capped his visit to southeast Michigan on Dec. 7 by thanking area Catholics for the concern they have shown for their brothers and sisters in the Holy Land.

Celebrating a special Mass at the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica in Royal Oak, the Latin patriarch of Jerusalem said he felt a “spiritual closeness” between Metro Detroiters and Christians in Palestine during his four-day pastoral visit, during which he spent time with local Catholics and raised money for his embattled flock.

“It was good for me to come, because I felt empathy and closeness and saw an interest about what was going on in the Holy Land for Christians — and not just for Christians, but for everybody. And this means a lot,” Cardinal Pizzaballa said in his homily. “It reminded me not to remain closed in my own small perspective, but to open my gaze and see that all over the world, yes, we have war, we have conflict, but there are many other persons ready to help, support and cooperate with us. So thank you.”
