President Trump Honors Angel Families, Remembers American Lives Lost to Illegal Immigration

[On Monday], President Donald J. Trump welcomed Angel Families to the White House for an emotional ceremony honoring American lives tragically taken by criminal illegal aliens who never should have been in our country. Paying solemn tribute to the second anniversary of Laken Riley’s murder, President Trump signed a Proclamation designating February 22 as National Angel Family Day — a day of remembrance for victims and their grieving loved ones devastated by the consequences of open border policies.

With America’s border now the most secure in history, the Trump Administration remains unwavering in its commitment to remove dangerous criminal illegal aliens from our communities, ensure accountability, and make sure not one more American family has to endure this pain.

Trump quietly got Mexico to hand over 100 cartel leaders — including El Mencho’s brother — before Jalisco raid

Mexico has quietly shipped nearly 100 suspected cartel drug traffickers to the US to stand trial charges after President Trump branded the groups foreign terrorist organizations last year — and pressured the Mexican government to cooperate.

The suspects include the brother of Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes — the brutal Jalisco New Generation cartel (CJNG) leader who was killed by the Mexican army on Sunday.

The Justice Department said many of the 92 defendants released to the Americans had US extradition requests that were not honored during the Biden administration.

Bill O’Reilly Slaps Democrats for Boycotting Trump’s SOTU Address – And Explains Why He Thinks They’re Really Doing It

Bill O’Reilly spoke to Leland Vittert of NewsNation tonight about Trump’s ‘State of the Union’ address tomorrow night and touched on the fact that a number of House Democrats are boycotting the speech in favor of purely partisan events sponsored by far-left groups.

O’Reilly correctly casts this as childish on behalf of Democrats but goes further, suggesting that these Democrats are beholden to the donors who are bankrolling them. He suggests that this is the real reason they are not attending, despite their claims.

Of course, most Trump supporters do not mind the idea of these people skipping the event. It will be better without them there. All they do is sit there, looking angry and trying to make the whole thing about them.

Gold for ‘Johnny Hockey’: Team USA Honors Late Catholic Legend in Emotional Olympic Victory

The USA hockey team beat Canada to win gold in overtime Sunday at the Winter Olympics in Milan — the first golden victory on ice in 46 years.

But it’s what happened after the momentous game that is still making headlines today.

After Jack Hughes scored the game-winning goal just over 100 seconds into overtime, players rushed out to the stands to bring two of late Catholic hockey player Johnny Gaudreau’s children and jersey onto the ice for the team photo.

Known as “Johnny Hockey,” he most likely would’ve been on the ice with the team on Sunday if he hadn’t tragically died at age 31 after being struck by a drunk driver while bicycling alongside his brother Matthew, 29, in New Jersey in August 2024. Matthew was also killed. The Gaudreau brothers died near their family home in southern New Jersey the day before their younger sister Katie was scheduled to be married (her wedding took place a year later).

HuffPost: ‘Waving the American Flag’ a ‘Turn Off’ After USA Olympic Victories

HuffPost has come under fire after calling it a “turn off” to be waving the American flag or chanting “U-S-A” following the record gold medal victories at the Winter Olympics – the most since 2002.

Team USA scored a total of 12 Gold medals at the Winter Olympics after men’s hockey defeated Canada, ending a 46-year drought since the “Miracle on Ice” against the Soviet Union in 1980.

Amid all this patriotic fervor, HuffPost felt the need to say, “If waving the American flag or chanting “USA!” turns you off right now, you’re not alone.”

Ukrainian Catholic sister killed in Brazil

An 82-year-old religious sister was killed Saturday in the Brazilian city of Ivaí, in the state of Paraná, Brazil.

A suspect was arrested by the Brazilian military police soon after the crime. According to initial media reports, the man — whose name has not been released — told police that he was under the influence of crack cocaine and alcohol when he entered the convent.

Vermont Backs Down, Won’t Stop Christians From Adopting Children

Vermont has agreed to a policy change that allows Christian foster parents to care for children without being forced to endorse gender ideology.

The state’s decision comes after a lawsuit essentially forcing it to back down from revocation of foster-care licenses for families holding traditional religious beliefs on sex and gender. The decision made it difficult for Christian foster parents to adopt children while staying true to Christian and normal biological views that boys and girls are different.

The settlement in Wuoti v. Winters and a related case finalized today comes after the Department for Children and Families (DCF) revised its guidance. The new policy clarifies that foster families need not endorse or affirm specific identities or use particular language related to gender identity, sexual orientation, or identity expression as a condition of licensure.
