Massive Explosion at Texas Oil Refinery, Cause Unknown — Residents Told to Shelter in Place

A massive explosion ripped through the Valero refinery in Port Arthur on Monday, sending a towering column of black smoke over the city and triggering an emergency response across Jefferson County. The cause of the explosion is under investigation.

The blast erupted inside the sprawling Gulf Coast facility shortly after midday, shaking nearby neighborhoods and prompting officials to warn residents to stay indoors as fire crews and industrial‑hazmat teams rushed to contain the incident. The explosion produced a thick plume visible for miles across Southeast Texas, adding new scrutiny to one of the nation’s largest refining corridors as authorities worked to determine the cause of the blast and assess potential hazards.

Trump: Iran Wants to Make Deal to End War

President Donald Trump on Monday said the U.S. was talking with a “respected” Iranian leader and claimed the Islamic Republic was eager for a deal to end the war.

Trump told reporters that Iran wants “to make a deal,” and claimed U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner had held talks with an Iranian leader Sunday.

“We have had very, very strong talks. We’ll see where they lead. We have points, major points of agreement. I would say almost all points of agreement,” Trump told reporters.

Democrats Predicted ICE Would Terrorize Airports. That Aged So Very Poorly.

… As PJ Media previously reported, over the weekend, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries went on CNN and literally claimed ICE agents would kill people at airports.

“The last thing that the American people need are for untrained ICE agents to be deployed at airports all across the country, potentially to brutalize or, in some instances, kill them,” Jeffries said.

And he wasn’t alone. Senator Richard Blumenthal piled on with his own apocalyptic vision, claiming, “ICE agents at airports will only aggravate delays & lines—disrupting checks, interrogating travelers, dragging parents from children, detaining citizens, brutalizing families, shooting & even killing.” …

So what actually happened?

At Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport—one of the busiest in the world—things initially looked rough. Lines stretched out the doors, and wait times reportedly hit as long as nine hours. A mess, no question.

And then ICE showed up.

And instead of chaos, something very inconvenient for Democrats occurred: things got better.

A lot better, actually.

CNN’s own Ryan Young was on the ground covering the situation, and his report completely undercut the panic narrative. “Finally, we can take a deep breath here. The numbers have dropped off. The lines are getting shorter. I think the average wait time now is under 40 minutes, so if you have a flight to catch today, it’s a good time to come to Hartsfield-Jackson International.”

How Trump’s ingenious TSA fix calls the Democrats’ bluff – Opinion by Daniel McCarthy

Democrats who want to defund ICE aren’t getting away with the political hostage-taking they’re using to do it.

They’re trying to hold the Transportation Security Administration’s funding hostage until their demands for weakening Immigration and Customs Enforcement are met.

That means they’re also subjecting millions of air travelers to added anxiety, and worse, as security-line wait times stretch into hours.

On Saturday, half the nation’s busiest airports — in New York City, Houston and Atlanta — had more than a third of TSA agents call out sick.

Passengers at LaGuardia were in line for up to three hours on Sunday — not because of the fatal Air Canada accident late that evening, but because TSA was understaffed all day.

TPUSA Frontlines Catches Election Fraud On Camera In California – video included

A new undercover video released by Turning Point USA’s Frontlines team is drawing attention to alleged election-related misconduct on the streets of Los Angeles, where activists say petitioners were caught offering cigarettes in exchange for signatures.

The footage, filmed on Skid Row by journalist Savannah Hernandez, appears to show individuals soliciting signatures from homeless residents while offering items of value — a practice that would violate California election law if proven true.

The clip shows a man handing out cigarettes while encouraging individuals to sign documents. At one point, he acknowledges the exchange on camera.

Under California Election Code Section 18603, it is illegal to offer money or anything of value in exchange for signing a petition or registering to vote. While paid petition circulation itself is legal, providing incentives tied directly to signatures crosses into unlawful territory.

Election Fraud On Skid Row in LA: Cash & Drug Exchange For Signatures – operation by James O’Keefe

James O’Keefe and undercover journalists with O’Keefe Media Group investigated Skid Row in Los Angeles, California while posing as homeless individuals. Hidden camera footage shows petition circulators offering cash, cigarettes, and marijuana in exchange for signatures on California ballot petitions.

On camera, petitioners admitted they are paid $7–$10 per signature, sometimes earning more than $1,000 per day. Meanwhile, many homeless individuals signing the petitions appeared to have no understanding of what they were signing.

One petitioner, Brenda Brown, was recorded handing over cash while distributing voter registration forms.

“We gon’ give you $2.”

“Because you haven’t registered, I need to register you. So I can get paid too. I’M PAYING YOU GUYS, I NEED TO GET PAID TOO.”

Paying someone to register to vote or sign a petition is a federal felony under 52 U.S.C. §10307(c), punishable by up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. It also violates California Elections Code §18603, which prohibits offering money or anything of value in exchange for petition signatures.

OMG [O’Keefe Media Group] journalists documented at least 28 cash-for-signature exchanges in just a few days. All of this was happening directly across the street from the Weingart Center, which has received well over $100 million in taxpayer grants since early 2022 — including $112 million in 2022 alone — with over $800 million in net assets. Executives are paid between $400,000 and $600,000 per year, yet the organization has repeatedly missed federal audit deadlines.

Several petitioners said they work for Populus Inc., a political consulting firm tied to C.O. Management Solutions. On camera, they named funders including Uber, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, and the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
