Just hours after Trump posted a message on Truth Social on Saturday criticizing Pritzker’s handling of crime in the city, at least seven people were shot around 11:10 p.m. in Bronzeville.

From Doorkeepers to Defenders: Catholic Men Step Up to Guard Parishes
Do Catholic churches need to provide more security? That question is on many minds in the aftermath of a mass shooting of schoolchildren during a Mass at a parish church in Minneapolis on Wednesday.
One group in Arizona has been training Catholic men to provide security for their parishes for about five years.
“Unfortunately, today is an example of why it’s needed,” said Brian Eaton, the founder of Porters of St. Joseph, an apostolate of volunteer men who, according to its website, seek “to imitate St. Joseph as the Protector of the Holy Church, Pillar of Families, and Terror of Demons.”

Minnesota trans killer of Catholic schoolchildren inspired by ‘secret Satanic network’: report
Minneapolis Catholic child killer Robert “Robin” Westman was reportedly linked to online dark extremist groups fixated on nihilism. The dark network of groups are reported to “prey on and exploit young people.” Westman killed two children and injured 17 others at the Annunciation Catholic School.
Some of the groups are called 764, COM, No Lives Matter, the Order of Nine Angels, and others, and operate in secret on the web where kids can access them and parents are primarily unaware. They are often called the “764 network,” reports The Daily Mail, and comprise satanic, accelerationist, Nazi, nihilistic people, including those obsessed with mass shooters.

Church of the Annunciation will need to undergo reconsecration ceremony because shooting brought in ‘presence of evil’
The Minneapolis church where two children were killed and 17 others hurt in a mass shooting will need to be ceremoniously purified before parishioners can once again attend Mass in the building.
Even after investigators strip crime scene tape from the Church of the Annunciation, a man of God will need to perform the “Rite of Reparation of a Church Profaned” before it is suitable for prayer again.
“The archbishop or his delegate, another bishop, will come and we consecrate the church, because there’s the presence of evil has encroached on the reality of what is a sacred space,” Rev. Patrick Flanagan, a professor of theology at St. John’s University, explained to The Post.

Secrets inside the Westman Family: Has Mary Westman Been Wrongly Vilified? by Andy Ngo
Mary Grace Westman has been demonized for her son’s transition and subsequent violent extremism. But new information reveals the public may have been wrong.
I spoke to someone who knows the family of the Minneapolis trans mass shooter. According to this source, it was James (Jim) Allen Westman — not Mary Grace Westman — who was the most affirming of Robert’s (Robin) gender dysphoria. Jim is very liberal, as I saw on his social media before he deleted it. Before and after the divorce, the couple’s five children allegedly looked to him for affirmation on choices their mother wouldn’t support. …

Minnesota transgender healthcare policies under scrutiny after shooter expressed ‘regret’ with transitioning
Democrat-backed transgender healthcare policies in Minnesota are facing fresh criticism after it was revealed that the Minneapolis school shooter who attacked a Catholic school this week had identified as transgender and expressed “regret” with ever transitioning.
Born Robert Westman before later becoming known as Robin, the 23-year-old gunman who murdered two children and injured 18 others at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis reportedly lamented being “brain-washed” by gender ideology.

Cardinal Cupich, Fr. James Martin ignore Minnesota shooter’s transgenderism, call for more gun control
Cardinal Blase Cupich and Father James Martin, S.J., have called for stricter gun control laws in the wake of the deadly shooting of schoolchildren in Minnesota, without referencing the shooter’s “transgender” identity and mental illness or the spiritual roots of his attack.
“Robin” Westman, born Robert Westman, on Wednesday morning fired into Annunciation Catholic Church where schoolchildren were gathered, killing two and injuring 17 others, leaving one adult and five children in critical condition as of Thursday morning. Westman killed himself following the shooting.

Robin Westman’s pot connection is another reason to go slow on looser rules for weed
News that Minneapolis monster Robin Westman worked at a pot shop until just two weeks ago should give pause to those in the White House reportedly pushing President Donald Trump to take a landmark step toward federal approval of marijuana use.
Westman, 23, was apparently fired from Rise, an area cannabis dispensary, on Aug. 16 over chronic tardiness and absenteeism.
If you know anything at all about the culture of this biz, that tells you the odds are awfully good that he was using, too.

UN report condemns surrogacy, exposes billion-dollar trade reducing women to breeding stock
A special report by the United Nations signals a serious move to have the “surrogacy” industry criminalized – as a form of human trafficking. The report, due to be presented to the U.N. General Assembly in October, destroys the well-marketed image of surrogacy – revealing the true nature of an industry monetizing the rental of wombs and the mail order of babies.
“Commercial surrogacy, which accounts for the overwhelming majority of surrogacy cases globally, constitutes the sale of children, which is a crime” says the report of the U.N. special rapporteur, noting also that “Surrogacy arrangements can amount to or resemble slavery.”

Illinois Law Mandates On-Campus Abortion Services
While the Hyde Amendment restricts federal funding for abortion, 16 states, including Illinois, use their own state taxpayer funds to pay for abortion services for Medicaid recipients or those with financial need. Last week, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker greatly expanded state taxpayer complicity in abortion by signing into law a mandate that requires public colleges and universities to provide medication abortions on campus to any student who requests them. …
Not surprisingly, the mandate was promoted and marketed by the campus chapter of Planned Parenthood.

CDC Staff Who Kennedy Fired Were Promoting Abortion, Liberal Agendas
Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. defended the leadership overhaul at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) during an Aug. 29 FOX News interview, saying the agency is “in trouble” and requires “strong leadership” to advance the Trump administration’s agenda.
The comments came a day after the HHS fired CDC Director Susan Monarez. The New York Times reported Aug. 26 that Monarez had refused Kennedy’s request to resign amid tensions over vaccine policy earlier in the week. Four other senior CDC officials resigned following her ouster, according to The Hill.

English residents in the migrant hotel flashpoint of Epping have vowed to stop paying council taxes after the government argued that asylum rights supersede local concerns of safety.
A breakdown in the social contract appears to be emerging in the wake of a controversial Court of Appeal decision on Friday to overturn an injunction to shut down the Bell Hotel in the Essex town of Epping for the purpose of housing supposed asylum seekers, the vast majority of whom are young male illegal migrants.

Bringing Beauty Back to US Churches Through Liturgical Carpentry
From a young age, John Hayden, 27, from Butte, Montana, showed a natural gift for working with his hands. Self-taught in carpentry, he enjoyed building “little trinkets as a kid.” Elevating his craft, he one time built “a giant catapult.”
The childhood hobby eventually matured into a true passion years later, when Hayden spent time in Canada working alongside a skilled carpenter.
“Knowing him is where the real passion came from,” Hayden told the Register. “Just seeing what you can do with wood, this incredible material you can do anything with — I realized this was something I really could dedicate my passion and energy to.”

Cardinals Burke and Sarah Back Global Push for First Saturday Devotion at 100 Years
Cardinals Raymond Burke and Robert Sarah are among senior prelates urging greater participation in the First Saturday Devotion and are backing an initiative that originated in France, aimed at encouraging the faithful to take part.
The Marian devotion, which is centered on making reparation for offenses and blasphemies against Mary’s Immaculate Heart that include denying her perpetual virginity or the Immaculate Conception, promises two immense graces for those who participate with true devotion and repentance: Our Lady’s assistance at the hour of death with all the graces necessary for salvation, and peace on earth.
The 100th anniversary of the devotion is Dec. 10. To mark its centenary, the “Alliance of the First Saturdays of Fatima” — a French-based global federation of Catholic groups whose mission is to promote and spread the devotion — launched the “First Saturdays of Fatima Jubilee 2025” on Jan. 4.
