Marco Rubio pledges to ‘reexamine’ NATO membership after US denied access to European military bases for Iran war: ‘One way street’
Secretary of State Marco Rubio questioned the value of NATO Tuesday night after European allies blocked the US military from using their bases and airspace to launch attacks on Iran.
Rubio, who recalled that as a senator he was “one of the strongest defenders” of NATO, told Fox News host Sean Hannity that membership in the transatlantic alliance would be “reexamined” after the Iran war.
“If now we have reached a point where the NATO alliance means we can’t use those bases to defend America’s interests, then NATO is a one way street,” the top US diplomat lamented.

Pope Leo Urges Trump to Find ‘Off-Ramp’ to End Iran War
Pope Leo XIV urged President Donald Trump on Tuesday to look for an “off-ramp” to end the Iran war, in a rare direct appeal from the pontiff as the regional conflict expands.
“I’m told that President Trump has recently stated that he would like to end the war,” said Leo, the first pope from the United States.
“Hopefully he’s looking for an off-ramp,” the Pope told journalists outside his residence in Castel Gandolfo, Italy, near Rome. “Hopefully he’s looking for a way to decrease the amount of violence.”

President Trump to Attend SCOTUS Oral Arguments on Birthright Citizenship
President Donald Trump says he will attend, in person, oral arguments at the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) on Wednesday in the case Trump v. Barbara, which will determine whether the U.S.-born children of illegal aliens and foreign tourists have a constitutional right to birthright citizenship.
“I’m going,” Trump said when asked about SCOTUS hearing oral arguments in the case on April 1. “I think so, I do believe because I’ve listened to this argument for so long.”
“Chinese billionaires and billionaires from other countries who all of a sudden have 75 children or 59 children in one case or 10 children, becoming American citizens,” Trump said. “[The 14th Amendment] was about slaves … all of this legislation, all of this having to do with birthright citizenship, it was at the end of the Civil War. The reason was, it had to do with the babies of slaves and the protection of the babies of slaves.”
“It didn’t have to do with the protection of multi-millionaires and billionaires wanting to have their children getting American citizenship,” Trump continued. “It is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen.”

NBA guard Jaden Ivey was cut from the Chicago Bulls on Monday after he expressed the basic Christian belief that sexual immorality and pride are “unrighteousness.” In response, multiple professional athletes have come to Ivey’s defense by similarly standing firm on God’s word.
“They proclaim Pride Month. And the NBA, they proclaim it. They show it to the world. They say, ‘Come join us for Pride Month, to celebrate unrighteousness.’ They proclaim it on the billboards. They proclaim it in the streets. Unrighteousness,” Ivey said. According to The Athletic, the comments were a part of a series of livestreams Ivey hosted on his Instagram over the last week after he was ruled out for the remainder of the season due to knee pain. In these streams, he “spoke extensively on his religious beliefs.”
