“Turning Point USA” Founder Charlie Kirk told FNC’s Jesse Watters on Monday that preventing the current crisis with Iran from spiralling into another Iraq War is “the moment Trump was elected for.”

“President Trump knows that his base does not want another Iraq, does not want another Libya, does not want a civil war or bedlam where the United States is left carrying the bag,” Kirk said. “But also, President Trump has been morally clear for a decade: Iran should not have a nuclear weapon.”

Despite close ties with Iran, Russia stands aside as Israel attacks

Iran aided the Kremlin with badly needed drones in the first year of its Ukraine invasion, helped Moscow build out a critical factory to make drones at home and inked a new strategic partnership treaty this year with President Vladimir V. Putin, heralding closer ties, including in defense.

But five months after that treaty was signed, the government in Iran is facing a grave threat to its rule from attacks by Israel. And Russia, beyond phone calls and condemnatory statements, is nowhere to be found.

The British establishment was more afraid of the public than the rape gangs – Essay

The specter of public volatility has stalked [the Muslim rape gangs] scandal from the start. The establishment’s irrational dread of the feral masses shaped its yellow-bellied decision-making. From the local officials who “shied away” from discussing the ethnicity of the rapists to the commentariat that barked “far right!” at any pleb who dared to utter the word “Muslim”, the great fear was always that truth might unleash savagery.

We mustn’t openly discuss this, they told themselves, because the rabble will rampage. …

Demons and ChatGPT

Last week, the New York Times reported on a strange phenomenon. A number of ChatGPT users believe that the generative AI model is giving them access to intelligent entities. These users, many of them smart and technologically literate, are not merely speaking metaphorically. Some are earnestly convinced that the chatbot is a window to other realms.

Needless to say, ChatGPT is not intelligent. It has no mind, no soul, no intention. … Nevertheless, the chatbot is a powerful tool of simulated intelligence, and therein lies its enchantment—and the source of confusion.

Cardinal Burke: Doctrinal and Moral Corruption ‘Directly Related’ to Abuse of the Liturgy

Cardinal Raymond Burke has appealed to Pope Leo XIV to lift the restrictions on the pre-1970 liturgy, stressing that respect for liturgical tradition is critical for the Catholic Church’s mission and that doctrinal and moral corruption shows itself in “divisions and factions” that lead to liturgical abuse.

Speaking via video link to a London conference celebrating 60 years of the Latin Mass Society of England and Wales, Cardinal Burke recalled that the most serious difficulty St. Paul faced in the early Church in Corinth was the “abuse that had entered into the celebration of the Most Holy Eucharist” and that it was “directly related to doctrinal and moral divisions among members of the community.”

Bishop Strickland: Statement on the massacre in Nigeria

With a heart weighed down by sorrow and righteous anger, I join the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, in mourning the brutal massacre that took place in Benue State, Nigeria. Nearly 200 souls – many of them our own brothers and sisters in Christ, internally displaced and seeking refuge in the arms of the Church – were savagely slaughtered in Yelwata, Guma, during the night of June 13.

They were not soldiers. They were not armed. They were poor. They were vulnerable. And they were targeted. Let us be absolutely clear: this was not merely a tragedy. It was a targeted massacre of innocent Christians …
