US-Israeli war against Iran escalates on day 4 with Gulf attacks, embassy closures, and widening fronts

The U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran entered its fourth day March 3, marked by intensified Iranian retaliatory strikes across the Persian Gulf, expanded Israeli operations into Lebanon, and mounting casualties.

Iranian forces and proxies launched a barrage of drone and missile attacks targeting U.S. diplomatic and military assets in the region. A suspected Iranian drone struck the grounds of the U.S. consulate in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, igniting a fire that was quickly contained, according to NBC News. Officials reported no casualties. The U.S. also closed its embassies in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Beirut amid similar drone attacks.

TRUMP SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT: Says Israel Didn’t Force My Hand on Iran — “If Anything, I Might Have Forced Israel’s Hand”

President Donald Trump is pushing back hard against critics who claim that Israel dragged the United States into the escalating war with Iran.

On Monday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio traveled to Capitol Hill to brief members of Congress on President Donald Trump’s decisive strikes against Iran’s military infrastructure.

According to Rubio, the regime had already delegated launch authority to field commanders. Within an hour of the initial strike on a leadership compound, missile forces in both the north and south were activated.

Intelligence assessments concluded that waiting for Iran to strike first would result in significantly higher American casualties.

On Iran, Trust Trump and Pray for Our Troops

This weekend, the U.S. and Israel began a series of military strikes on Iran as part of “Operation Epic Fury” that killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other high-ranking officials and severely damaged Iran’s military capabilities. The Iranian counterattack has killed three American service members and seriously injured at least five more.

Amid all the chaos that has unfolded over the past 48 hours, that is the upshot of what we know so far. There’s plenty of speculation, and a cacophony of opinions has flooded the airwaves. But in this moment, the best approach may be taking stock of what we know for sure, and praying hard – for our troops, for their families, for our leaders, and for the civilians caught in harm’s way.

I Wish GOP Senators Got As Excited About The SAVE Act As They Do About War

Republican senators have spoken with notable urgency and clarity about the war against Iran, saying the strikes are unavoidable, overdue, and necessary. This was the moment, delay was no longer an option, and decisive action was required, they argue — even though polling shows the strikes are unpopular, and they carry obvious military and economic risks.

That willingness to decisively support an unpopular, high-risk issue stands in stark contrast to how Republican senators have treated the SAVE America Act, a low-risk, broadly supported piece of legislation where GOP urgency has all but disappeared.

As Iran war widens, Eastern Christians face growing uncertainty

The Middle East has once again surged to the top of global headlines as renewed fighting spreads across multiple fronts, placing several countries at risk of continued strikes and retaliation, with no clear end in sight.

Airstrikes on the Iranian capital, Tehran, and other major cities have raised serious concerns about the country’s Christian communities.

Iran has already been grappling with instability following months of popular protests driven largely by economic hardship. Those demonstrations evolved into broader anti-government protests, during which many lives were lost.

Doctors are Performing Surgeries on Babies [in] the Womb to Treat Spina Bifida

A new peer-reviewed article by the Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI) illustrates how over three decades of medical advancements in prenatal surgery for babies diagnosed with spina bifida have improved treatment while dramatically enhancing quality of life. These advancements also reflect a scientific shift toward recognizing and treating the unborn baby as a patient, in their own right.

Spina bifida is a serious congenital condition in which the unborn baby’s spinal column fails to close completely. This can cause a range of symptoms, including leg weakness or paralysis, mobility challenges, bladder and bowel difficulties, and even developmental and psychosocial difficulties. In the U.S., spina bifida affects almost four babies for every 10,000 live births.

‘The Whole Church Rejoices’: London Reports Largest Easter Convert Group in 15 Years

“I think Mary was leading me to the Church her Son founded as I prayed the Rosary and it is amazing how we can have a relationship with the Mother of God as Catholics,” said Nathan from Kent. “I trust Jesus as the Lord of my life, in whichever direction he takes me.”

Two major English archdioceses whose jurisdictions cover most of London have registered record numbers of adults due to be received into the Catholic Church at Easter.

The archdioceses of Westminster and Southwark revealed the numbers at their respective rites of election on Feb. 21.

In a Feb. 21 statement, the archdiocese of Westminster said the 2026 group is the “fourth largest since diocesan records began in 1993 and the highest level of participation in fifteen years.”

It noted that “after declining during the pandemic, numbers have risen significantly, with strong participation across the Diocese” and that “this year’s cohort represents a 60% increase from 2025.” Almost 800 adults from more than 100 parishes across the Diocese took part.
