Trump welcomed by Prince William, Kate Middleton at Windsor Castle as he exchanges laughs with King Charles during lavish procession
… The commander-in-chief was warmly greeted by senior members of the royal family Wednesday as he and first lady Melania Trump arrived in the UK for a historic second state visit.
The president and first lady arrived at Windsor Castle via the Marine One helicopter.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff were spotted on the ground outside the castle ahead of the ceremonial welcome.

Charlie Kirk shooting suspect faces seven charges, prosecutors seek death penalty
Utah County prosecutors filed seven felony charges on Tuesday against Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old accused of assassinating conservative activist Charlie Kirk during a Utah Valley University campus event last week, and said they would seek the death penalty.
Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray announced the charges during a press conference on Tuesday, describing the shooting as a politically motivated act of violence carried out in front of children and hundreds of spectators. Prosecutors also revealed Robinson’s political ideology had shifted to the left prior to the attack, and they described further evidence that Robinson targeted Kirk for his political views.

College in Florida Commissioning Charlie Kirk Statue: ‘We Will Champion’ Civil Debate and Freedom of Speech
New College in Florida announced on Tuesday that it will commission a statue of the late Charlie Kirk to “honor his legacy and incredible work.”
An emailed press release announcing the commission stated that the statue will be “privately funded by community leaders” and will proudly stand on New College’s campus as a reminder to fight for free speech and “civil discourse in American life.” The press release provided a sample image of what the statue could look like, depicting Kirk sitting at a table, microphone in hand, with empty chairs at the table, representing his love of open, free, and peaceful debate of ideas.

Trump sues the New York Times for $15B in defamation case
President Donald Trump filed a $15 billion lawsuit against the New York Times late Sept. 15, accusing the Times and four of its reporters of defamation and libel.
Trump announced the lawsuit in a Truth Social post, calling the Times “one of the worst and most degenerate newspapers in the History of our Country” and accusing it of “becoming a virtual ‘mouthpiece’ for the Radical Left Democrat Party.”

While Londoners may debate whether Sadiq Khan has ever been a very effective mayor, no one can doubt that during the first Presidency of Donald Trump, he put his heart and soul into beefing with America. That old headline-grabbing animosity has resurfaced again, with Mayor Khan taking to the UK’s establishment-left newspaper, The Guardian, to air his grievances and call on the British government to stop being so accommodating to the President.

Photos of patch with Arabic writing shouldn’t have been released, mayor says.
Photos circulating of a newly designed Dearborn Heights police patch that includes the Arabic and English versions of the same wording pushed out by Chief Ahmed Haidar have created a wave of backlash for the police department.
With the possibility of Dearborn Heights being the first police department to initiate this change in the country, many aren’t liking the idea.

In his address at the ongoing interactive session between CBCN and the ‘Prominent Lay Faithful’ of Calabar Ecclesiastical Province, Archbishop Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji lamented that many Nigerians have been killed, and those who fled are languishing in camps where they are exposed to extreme weather conditions, often without food and water.

Pope Leo XIV expresses concern about political violence and is praying for the late American activist Charlie Kirk, his wife, and two children, according to the Holy See Press Office.
The Director of the Holy See Press Office, Matteo Bruni, responded to reporters’ questions on Tuesday about the Pope’s reaction to the murder of Charlie Kirk.
“I know that during the conversation with the new U.S. Ambassador, the Pope confirmed that he is praying for Charlie Kirk, his wife, and his children; that he expressed concern about political violence; and that he spoke of the need to refrain from rhetoric and instrumentalization that lead to polarization rather than dialogue,” said Mr. Bruni.

That insulting association of the Divine Name with a divisive political social policy appeared in an essay the USCCB accidentally published on its website in recent days. It has since been taken down. …
The essence of the essay was more or less contained in the same bishop’s homily during 2025 Black History Month. … within a month of Donald Trump’s inauguration, an administration the bishop accused of “want[ing] to erase Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from the American conscience.” …
DEI is arguably fundamentally incompatible with Catholic thought. In practice, DEI treats racism not as intrinsically evil, but only sometimes evil, depending on who is being discriminated against. Justice Clarence Thomas already highlighted this problem in his concurrence in Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard: Colorblindness — the ignoring of race as a criterion for decisions — has morphed into color sensitivity, resulting in so-called “good discrimination” and “bad discrimination.” …
