Trump Urges U.N. To Protect ‘The Most Persecuted Religion On The Planet Today’ — Christianity

Nearly two weeks after the assassination of conservative icon and Christian evangelizer Charlie Kirk, President Donald Trump frankly addressed the global intergovernmental organization that has been accused of turning a blind eye to sweeping persecution of Christians.

“Let us protect religious liberty, including for the most persecuted religion on the planet today — it’s called Christianity,” Trump said Tuesday in a speech to the United Nations General Assembly. Perhaps not so coincidentally the president warned U.N. members that their “countries are going to hell.”

‘Your Countries Are Going to Hell’: Trump Calls Out UN for ‘Top Political Issue of Our Time’

President Donald Trump on Tuesday blamed the United Nations for creating problems instead of solving them.

While addressing the United Nations General Assembly in New York City, Trump said the U.N. is responsible for creating the “No. 1 political issue of our time, the crisis of uncontrolled migration.”

Trump painted a bleak picture resulting from mass migration. “Your countries are going to hell,” he told the General Assembly.

“Your prisons are filled with so-called asylum-seekers who repaid kindness—and that’s what they did—they repaid kindness with crime,” he contended.

Trump said the U.N. is funding “an assault on Western countries and their borders.”

Melania Trump declares ‘the moment is now’ for new global children’s initiative at UN

First lady Melania Trump used the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) stage Tuesday to deliver a warning and a call to action: children must be protected as technology races ahead.

Trump unveiled her new initiative “Fostering the Future Together” in her remarks, a global coalition of nations dedicated to advancing children’s well-being in the digital era through education, innovation and technology.

Opening in a moment of reflection, the first lady urged leaders to see childhood imagination not as trivial, but as a rehearsal for innovation later in life.

‘It Doesn’t Look Like A Coincidence’: Karoline Leavitt Warns Escalator Mishap At UN Shows Pattern Of Targeting Trump

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Fox News Tuesday that repeated mishaps during President Donald Trump’s appearance at the United Nations (U.N.) point to something more deliberate than mere chance.

An escalator suddenly stopped at the U.N. as Trump and First Lady Melania Trump stepped on. During an appearance on “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Leavitt suggested that this seems like a deliberate act as she cited a string of irregularities during Trump’s visit.

U.S. Secret Service dismantles imminent telecommunications threat in New York tristate area

The U.S. Secret Service dismantled a network of electronic devices located throughout the New York tristate area that were used to conduct multiple telecommunications-related threats directed towards senior U.S. government officials, which represented an imminent threat to the agency’s protective operations.

This protective intelligence investigation led to the discovery of more than 300 co-located SIM servers and 100,000 SIM cards across multiple sites.

In addition to carrying out anonymous telephonic threats, these devices could be used to conduct a wide range of telecommunications attacks. This includes disabling cell phone towers, enabling denial of services attacks and facilitating anonymous, encrypted communication between potential threat actors and criminal enterprises.

In Interview, Rubio Rejects Stephanopoulos’ Premise on US Foreign Aid Reductions

Secretary of State Marco Rubio shot down ABC News host George Stephanopoulos on Tuesday when he pushed the narrative that President Donald Trump’s cuts to foreign aid caused many people to die.

Stephanopoulos asserted on “Good Morning America” that the Department of Government Efficiency’s freeze on foreign aid in February killed people on a global scale due to a freeze in funding to support humanitarian causes. Rubio stated that the U.S. is not solely responsible for tragedies and misgivings around the world.

Cardinal Cupich under fire over Lifetime Award for pro-abortion senator

Cardinal Blase Cupich of Chicago is facing mounting criticism from two prominent American bishops.

Senator Dick Durbin, a long-serving Illinois Democrat with a record of supporting abortion legislation, is to receive a “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the Archdiocese of Chicago. The award, due to be presented on 3 November at the annual Keep Hope Alive fundraiser for the archdiocese’s immigration ministry, is intended to recognise Durbin’s decades of advocacy for migrants. The senator, who is Catholic, has been one of the principal sponsors of immigration reform in the U.S. Congress. Yet the choice has provoked a strong reaction because of Durbin’s longstanding support for abortion.

Bishop Thomas Paprocki of Springfield, in whose diocese Durbin’s official residence is located, said he was “shocked” at the announcement when speaking to The Pillar, citing the senator’s opposition to bills aimed at restricting late-term abortion and protecting infants who survive attempted terminations.

[3rd] Catholic Bishop Blasts Award for Dick Durbin: “Goes Against Catholic Moral Principles”

A third Catholic bishop has stood up to oppose a decision by Cardinal Blasé Cupich to give an award to pro-abortion Senator Dick Durbin.

As LifeNews has reported, Cupich has been flooded with messages from Catholics urging him to rescind an award he is planning to give to Durbin in November. Cupich, head of the Archdiocese of Chicago, plans to honor the radically pro-abortion senator with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the “Keep Hope Alive” Benefit on November 3.

Now, Bishop James Conley of Nebraska has spoken out against the decision. …

Cardinal Müller speaks out on assassination of Charlie Kirk in wide-ranging interview

Charlie Kirk was the victim of an atheistic ideology, whose followers erupted in satanic celebration over the heinous murder of an exemplary husband and family man,” Cardinal Müller told Montagna in part one of the interview, published Sept. 17.

Cardinal Müller noted Kirk was devoutly Christian. “From a supernatural perspective, he died not as the victim of a political assassination,” he said, “but as a martyr for Jesus Christ — not in the sense of those who are canonized, but as one who bore witness (from the Greek martyrs) through his life.”

“He gave his life in following his Lord, as a sacrifice for the truth that man is made in God’s image, male and female, and in opposition to the lies and self-mutilation promoted by so-called ‘trans-ideology’ and ‘gender-affirming care,” the cardinal continued …

Charlie Kirk’s Memorial Marks Beginning of The End for Third Wayism, Lukewarm Christianity

For too long, Christians have sold and bought the lie that loving God and loving your neighbor means embracing ill-named political centrism, caving in the culture war, and quietly refusing opportunities to obey the Great Commission. The assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and the widespread revival that followed, however, proves that the third way-ism that has infiltrated even the most seemingly solid Christian institutions has no home here any longer.

It’s not difficult to see that the “Christian nationalist” slur and smears corporate media, Democrats, and other cowards wielded in an effort to deter Biblically-informed life and law have taken root in key Christian circles, effectively neutering potential Good News bearers from delivering the best message of all time. Yet, a small but powerful sect of bold and morally courageous faithfuls, such as Charlie Kirk, successfully rejected those attacks and devoted their lives to sharing the Gospel with anyone who would listen.

Pope Leo Decries ‘Forced Exile’ of Gaza Civilians

Pope Leo spoke out against the forced displacement of Gaza civilians on Sunday as Israel intensified its military demolition campaign in the Palestinian enclave’s main city.

“Together with the pastors of the churches in the Holy Land, I repeat that there is no future based on violence, forced exile, and revenge,” the Pope said during his weekly Angelus prayer.

The Holy Land encompasses parts of modern-day Israel, the occupied Palestinian territories, Jordan, and Egypt, that are sacred to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
