Pope: Saints call us to look to God, make masterpieces of our lives
… In his homily, the Pope reflected on the extraordinary witness of both new Saints. Recalling words from the first Sunday reading from the Book of Wisdom, the Pope observed that, like King Solomon, these young men sought the gift of wisdom to better understand God’s plans for our lives and world, and follow them faithfully. And in doing so, they used their gifts to bring others to God through their example, words, and actions. …
Pope Leo underscored how both Saints Pier Giorgio Frassati and Carlo Acutis invite everyone, “especially young people, not to squander our lives, but to direct them upwards and make them masterpieces.”

Trump: Cleaning Up Chicago, Not Going to War With It
Responding to Democrat criticism that he is going to war with an American city, President Donald Trump on Sunday denied that this is what he is doing, The Hill reported.
Asked whether he was “threatening to go to war with Chicago,” Trump told reporters that “we’re not going to war. We’re going to clean up our cities. We’re going to clean them up, so they don’t kill five people every weekend. That’s not war. That’s common sense.”

ICE Raid at Georgia Hyundai Plant Results in Over 400 Detentions
On September 4, 2025, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), alongside other federal agencies, conducted a major raid at a Hyundai Motor Group battery plant construction site in Ellabell, Georgia, detaining 475 individuals, the majority of whom were South Korean nationals.
The operation, described as the largest single-site enforcement action in Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) history, targeted alleged unlawful employment practices and other federal crimes at the $7.6 billion facility, a joint venture between Hyundai and LG Energy Solution. …
South Korea’s Foreign Ministry expressed “concern and regret,” urging the U.S. to protect the rights of its nationals and investors. Diplomats from Seoul were dispatched to the site, and the ministry emphasized that the economic activities of Korean companies, which have pledged billions in U.S. investments, should not be unfairly disrupted.

Trump Admin Planning to Toughen U.S. Citizenship Test — Plans For Essay Requirement and More Proof of ‘Good Moral Character’
The Trump administration is drawing up plans to toughen up the U.S. citizenship test. …
“Ultimately, what I’d like to see is moving to a standardized test where an applicant goes beforehand to a testing center, answers the questions, we’ll get a sense of whether they understand what’s going on,” [director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Joseph Edlow] explained.
The revised tests could also include an essay requirement and stronger evidence that the individual is of a “good moral character.”

Bombshell DOJ Report Details Biden-Era Anti-Christian Attacks, Vows To End Weaponization
A task force created by President Donald Trump has revealed countless examples of apparent government weaponization against Christians and other faithful Americans during the Biden administration years. …
“By eradicating anti-Christian bias in the federal government, the Task Force is reaffirming a principle older than the Republic itself, that freedom of religion is not granted by government but guaranteed against it,” the report adds. “America must remain One Nation Under God if she is to remain Indivisible, With Liberty and Justice for All. The Task Force will never permit the federal government to be used as a weapon against faith.”

Trump Team Finds Thousands of Migrant Kids Biden Abandoned, by John Zmirak
Some are dead, and many have been working as slaves …
The Democrats and their captive churches pretend to advocate for migrants. But which prominent Democrat, which Catholic bishop or progressive Protestant pastor has spoken up about the hundreds of thousands of immigrant children the Biden administration lost? Or sent to unvetted “sponsors” to be trafficked and abused? The sheer number is staggering, though different sources give different figures for it. The latest from the Trump administration reports that it’s around 450,000 — which is close to the entire population of Miami, Florida. …

Christian foster families fight Massachusetts policy requiring them to promote LGBT ideology
Two Christian foster families sued Massachusetts officials Sept. 3 after they were told that they cannot keep their foster care licenses if they refuse to promote LGBT ideology to the children in their care.
Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), one of the law firms representing the two families, stated in a news release that the state Department of Children and Families (DCF) has a new policy that “requires every family to promise that they will encourage a child to ‘transition’ socially and medically, use a child’s chosen pronouns, and otherwise ‘affirm’ without question a child’s desire to change their gender, even if doing so violates their faith.”
ADF Senior Counsel Johannes Widmalm-Delphonse stated that Massachusetts’ foster care system has more than 1,400 children in need of foster families. … “This is a particularly egregious case because the Joneses care for a little girl who is happy and healthy in the only home she’s ever known,” Widmalm-Delphonse said.

God-Given Rights: The Profoundly Ignorant Tim Kaine
Sometimes you read something so outrageously, disturbingly, and profoundly ignorant, especially given the source, that you’re simply left speechless. I had such a moment when reading a breathtaking statement by Tim Kaine, an elected senator of the United States of America.
This ignorance makes it easier for progressives to try to do what they want to do. They supplant the crucial missing knowledge with their leftist ideology and theories.
“The notion that rights don’t come from laws and don’t come from the government, but come from the Creator — that’s what the Iranian government believes,” asserted Kaine during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing last Wednesday. “It’s a theocratic regime that bases its rule on Sharia law and targets Sunnis, Bahá’ís, Jews, Christians, and other religious minorities.”

So Many Canadians are Killing Themselves in Assisted Suicides, Doctors Can’t Kill People Fast Enough
According to a recent article in The Atlantic, assisted suicide is now so popular in Canada that doctors cannot keep up with the demand. Appropriately titled Canada is Killing Itself, the article described how Medical Assistance in Dying (or MAiD), passed just 10 years ago, now accounts for about one in 20 deaths in Canada.
That number is more than the total number of combined deaths from Alzheimer’s and diabetes, and it surpasses many countries where assisted dying has been legal for far longer. The shortage of “care” is not due to a lack of interest from medical professionals. Doctors are in fact flocking to join what the Atlantic article called “the world’s fastest-growing euthanasia regime.”
