JD Vance escorts Charlie Kirk’s body home as Trump posthumously awards Medal of Freedom

Vice President JD Vance is to accompany the body of Charlie Kirk to Arizona aboard Air Force Two following the fatal shooting of the conservative activist at Utah Valley University.

Mr Vance, together with his wife Usha, travelled to Salt Lake City on Thursday to meet members of the Kirk family. They will fly with his widow, Mrs Erika Kirk, her relatives, and close friends to Phoenix, where the 31-year-old lived.

Charlie Kirk Must Now Be Made Immortal

… There is a meme floating around with Charlie’s face on Obi-Wan Kenobi, light saber in hand, with the caption, “Strike me down, and I will become more powerful than you can ever imagine.” Time will tell whether that’s true, but one thing that is unmistakable is that by murdering Charlie Kirk, the villains responsible have made him a martyr to several important causes. …

The Left Has Never Been Held Accountable For Political Violence — And That Must Change

Yesterday, I was writing a piece on the tragic killing of Iryna Zarutska down in Charlotte that has captured national attention. Before I could finish, news came down the beloved conservative activist Charlie Kirk had been shot at a university in Utah. I’ve been covering politics for a long time, and I can’t say I’ve ever had a story about politically charged violence pre-empted by even more political violence. Nor do I ever want this to happen again.

But I was doing my best to Kubler-Ross my way through this — I’ve met Kirk and generally thought highly of him — but I didn’t really snap until I saw Obama put out a statement: …

Gunman still at large after Kirk’s assassination

Federal investigators said Sept. 11 that the gunman who assassinated Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk remains at large, but they released photos of a “person of interest” and announced a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and identification of the assassin.

“We are asking for the public’s help identifying this person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University,” the FBI’s Salt Lake City office posted on social media around 12:00 p.m.

Rapid retribution: Republicans get those who celebrate Charlie Kirk’s death fired

Since the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the internet has shown its dark side. However, retribution in the form of public firing seems to be coming swiftly.

Libs of TikTok has become a steady stream of calling out those who are celebrating the death of the conservative activist, from a district attorney in Montana to college professors, Democratic candidates, and teachers.

But it’s not just Libs of TikTok. Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears has called for the dean of students of Chesterfield County Public Schools to be fired for saying, “Charlie Kirk, you reap what you sow.” The Republican candidate for governor said, “This vile, heartless remark is completely unacceptable — especially from someone entrusted with our children.”

Also in Virginia, a realtor posted, “The world is a better place with less Trump supporters, period.” She was swiftly fired from not one but two jobs. …

Charlie Kirk Condemned Abortion: “It’s Wrong to Murder a Baby”

… Through Turning Point USA, the nonprofit he founded, Charlie worked tirelessly to equip young people with a clear and unapologetic defense of conservative values.

Naturally, one of the questions he was asked most often was about abortion. Charlie’s unshakable Pro-Life convictions moved countless students to rethink their beliefs, leading many to turn away from the culture of death and embrace the defense of innocent Life.

‘Gotta Start Somewhere’: Susie Wiles Hints Trump Planning ‘Comprehensive’ Response To Crime After Kirk Assassination

President Donald Trump is planning to unveil a “comprehensive” plan to address violent crime and protect free speech, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles told Salem Radio Network host Scott Jennings Thursday.

Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated on Wednesday during a “Prove Me Wrong” event at Utah Valley University by a lone gunman. Wiles told Jennings the Trump administration had already started working on a plan following the stabbing death of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska.

Truth Cannot Be Killed: A Tribute to Charlie Kirk

The assassination of Charlie Kirk was not just the killing of a brilliant young mind, a husband, and a father; it was an attempt to kill the truth. It was an attempt to kill a movement of young adults engaging in public discourse about the essential truths of humanity. And it was an attempt to kill civility.

This is not to say that everything Charlie said was true; I don’t think that is the case for any of us. But Charlie Kirk engaged the arena of ideas more courageously, more robustly, more civilly, and with more faith than just about anyone in the public square today, which is why he had such a following among the youth. …

Ben Shapiro Vows To ‘Pick up That Blood-Stained Microphone Where Charlie Left It’

…“I saw a lot of rumors online today that I’m going to cancel some sort of college tour. That’s [expletive]. I saw those rumors. They are false. I will be coming to college campuses, many of them this year,” Shapiro said. “So will we all, I am sure, because we are Americans. And we’re not going to be deterred.”

“Charlie’s voice is not silent. We’re going to pick up that blood-stained microphone where Charlie left it,” Shapiro added. “And to those who would intimidate, who would seek to stop us, who would seek to end free discussion, who believe that they have ownership over public spaces and can violently threaten and kill people who speak freely, we are not going to stop. And I have two words: [expletive] you.”

“We will not stop telling the truth. We will never stop telling the truth,” the Daily Wire editor emeritus continued. “We will never stop debating and discussing. We will never stop standing up for what America is and for what she should be. And we will never let Charlie Kirk’s voice die.”

In Wake of Charlie Kirk’s Murder, Ghouls Celebrate, Leftist Lawmakers Boo, Christians Pray by John Zmirak

“We lost a future president of the United States yesterday,” Eric Metaxas told me on the phone Thursday as we tried to process the murder of his old friend Charlie Kirk.

I knew Charlie only slightly: He’d been trying to start a MAGA-friendly college in New York City, and I was roped in on some of the phone calls. I warned him against the idea, saying that Antifa would attack the building and even the students, but local police would be told to stand down and let the radicals rampage. “That’s how bad it is, Charlie,” I said.

He knew that even better than I did, and the project didn’t go forward. But Charlie did. …
