U.S. indicts Raúl Castro for Cuba’s 1996 shoot-down of two civilian planes from Miami
In a watershed moment for the Cuban American community, the U.S. Justice Department announced Wednesday in Miami that a federal grand jury has indicted Cuba’s longtime ruler Raúl Castro, charging him with the murders of four people in the 1996 shoot-down of two civilian planes belonging to the Cuban exile organization Brothers to the Rescue.
The indictment of Castro, who will be 95 next month but remains the island’s ultimate authority, was brought by a federal grand jury led by Jason A. Reding Quiñones, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Florida.
The formal accusation was announced by acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche, in a symbolic event at Miami Dade College’s Freedom Tower to honor the victims of the shoot-down.
“We are announcing an indictment charging Raúl Castro and several others with conspiracy to kill U.S. nationals,” Blanche said, prompting rounds of standing applause in an audience packed with prominent Cuban American leaders, activists, lawyers and relatives of the victims. “My message today is clear. The United States and President Trump does not and will not forget its citizens. He also does not forget the families, the loved ones, and the friends who have carried grief and heartache for 30 years.”

More Voter Fraud Charges Scream For The Senate To Pass The SAVE America Act by M.D. Kittle
A Canadian man who lives in Massachusetts, is accused of voting in multiple U.S. elections, something Dems say never happens.
Another day, another foreign national charged with voting in U.S. elections — and yet another example of why failure to pass the SAVE America Act is not an option.
On Tuesday, the Department of Justice announced authorities had arrested Sunny Manhertz, 40, of Saugus, Massachusetts. The noncitizen has been charged with unlawful voting by an alien and one count of “the procurement, casting, or tabulation of ballots that are known to be materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent under state law,” according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts. …
The Massachusetts case follows the indictments earlier this month of four noncitizens in New Jersey alleged to have voted in federal elections. In January, two noncitizens in the Garden State were indicted on charges of illegally voting and making false statements on their application for U.S. citizenship. Also in January, a federal grand jury in Birmingham, Ala., charged a Canadian man on several counts of voting in state and federal elections as a noncitizen. The same man, Franc Neil Maloney, at the time was reportedly free on bond in a separate case in which he as charged with 187 counts of possessing child pornography and another four of disseminating it.

Left’s election fraud denials crumble as DOJ exposes two-decade-long California cheating scheme
FBI Director Kash Patel says prior administrations looked the other way on election cheating but “those days are over.”
Despite evidence to the contrary, liberal voting activists have spent years minimizing cheating concerns and portraying those who want to investigate such problems as “election deniers.”
But the FBI and the departments of Justice and Homeland Security are now systematically exposing electoral fraud – from non-citizen voting to ballot-box-stuffing schemes that are turning the table in epic fashion.
The latest strike came Monday when a longtime voting activist in California reached a deal with federal prosecutors to admit to illegally paying homeless people to sign election petitions and paying people to register to vote. The two-decade scheme allegedly leveraged the Democrat-run state’s lax mail-in voting system, which sends ballot forms to everyone whether they ask for them or not.
The felony charge and plea deal announced Monday against Brenda Lee Brown Armstrong, 64, of Marina Del Ray, Calif., not only signals an investigation into others, it likely will provide legal fodder to the Justice Department’s efforts to force California to turn over its voter registration database to look for other abuses.
That case, and others like it against blue states, are working their way through the federal courts in a major initiative led by Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon.
Prosecutors said Armstrong spent two decades collecting ballot registration forms, including in California’s high-profile voter initiatives. On occasion, Brown targeted homeless people on Skid Row in Los Angeles, offering them money to fill out forms, and even sometimes letting them use her own address to put on the forms.
The plea deal mentioned Armstrong was paid by “coordinators” to gather signatures for ballots, and she used some of that money to enlist people to register to vote and sign petitions.

California Democrats built the trap they’re now caught in
California Democrats hard committed to the ‘Jungle Primary,’ but now that they have run 556 candidates in their primary, there is a good chance that they won’t even get a candidate in the general election. On top of this, a woman was arrested this week for paying the homeless to vote in California!

Rep. Chris Smith Shines Spotlight on Communist China’s Live Organ Harvesting
Communist China is producing a real horror show.
Rep. Chris Smith, R-N.J., recently convened a special session of the bipartisan Congressional-Executive Commission on China and solicited stunning testimony from experts and eyewitnesses on the horrific practice of live organ harvesting—hearts, livers, lungs, kidneys, corneas—in Communist China. The unlucky cohort of living “donors”—men and women murdered for their body parts—is comprised of various dissidents as well as politically persecuted ethnic and religious minorities.
This latest congressional inquiry follows in the wake of The Heritage Foundation’s public conference on the topic, which featured Jan Jekielek, author of the New York Times bestseller “Killed to Order: China’s Organ Harvesting Industry and the True Nature of America’s Biggest Adversary.” Jekielek also appeared as a witness before the commission’s panel.
In his opening remarks, Smith noted a hot mic exchange between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping, where the two autocrats were casually discussing the potential of organ donation contributing to greater longevity, with Xi speculating that humans this century could possibly live as long as 150 years.
Ethical organ transplantation, Smith emphasized, is “noble and lifesaving … But forced organ harvesting is not healing. It is murder masquerading as medicine.”

DR Congo diocese issues Ebola prevention measures after health emergency declaration
Bishop Willy Ngumbi Ngengele had directed that all Catholic communities in the diocese observe strict preventive measures aimed at limiting the spread of the deadly virus.
The Catholic Diocese of Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has issued preventive measures to all Catholic parishes and communities following the declaration of an Ebola virus hemorrhagic fever outbreak as a “health emergency.”
In a communiqué issued May 18, the chancellor of the diocese said Bishop Willy Ngumbi Ngengele had directed that all Catholic communities in the diocese observe strict preventive measures aimed at limiting the spread of the deadly virus.
“Given that the Ebola virus hemorrhagic fever epidemic has been declared a ‘health emergency,’ the Diocese of Goma recommends that all parish, priestly, and religious communities observe preventive measures,” Father Christian Kisonia said.

US Fine Arts Commission to review, possibly vote [today] on Trump’s revised plan for arch in DC
Among critics’ concerns is the arch’s height, which would rival that of every monument in the city including the Lincoln Memorial.
The U.S. Commission on Fine Arts will consider and possibly vote Thursday on updated plans for a triumphal arch that President Donald Trump proposed be built on Memorial Circle in Washington, D.C.
The commissioners had previously approved the concept for the project in April, which is in addition to other renovation projects the president has undertaken, according to the Associated Press.
The arch would stand 250-feet tall from its base to the top of a torch, which would be held by a Lady Liberty figure. That statute would have two eagles on each side, and four lions would sit at its base. All of these will be gilded.
“One Nation Under God” and “Liberty and Justice for All” would be inscribed in gold lettering at the top of the monument. The structure would also include an observation deck on top, which would provide views of the surrounding areas.

National Eucharistic Pilgrimage 2026
In honor of America’s 250th year, the 2026 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage will carry the theme One Nation Under God. One Nation Under God is not a slogan—it’s an invitation to realign our lives, communities, and country under the sovereignty of Christ. It’s a call to build unity through prayer, and to let Jesus, present in the Eucharist, renew and heal the heart of our country, one soul at a time. As pilgrims on this route, we walk with Christ so that His love might draw our nation back to Him. You’re invited to join us, in person or in spirit, and offer prayers and sacrifices for the renewal of America.
The pilgrimage begins over Memorial Day weekend in St. Augustine, Florida, near where the first Mass was celebrated. The route will continue up the Eastern Seaboard through most of the 13 original colonies, reaching as far north as New Hampshire and Maine. Stops will be made in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, our country’s very first Catholic diocese, as well as the Archdiocese of Boston to visit significant national historical sites. The pilgrimage concludes over the 4th of July weekend in Philadelphia, in honor of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
As the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage unfolds, the Perpetual Pilgrims will carry the Blessed Sacrament across the country, engaging the universality of the Church by stopping at parishes in both urban centers and rural communities. Their journey will pass by some of the most historic landmarks along the East Coast. Use the map below to explore the stops along the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Route.
