White House: Trump Wants Minnesota ‘Resistance and Chaos to End Today’
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters on Monday, following President Donald Trump’s phone call with Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), that Trump wants the “resistance and chaos” in Minnesota to end immediately.
Before Leavitt laid out the president’s demand and his four-point plan to return to “law and order” in Minnesota during Monday’s White House press briefing, she said that Democrat leaders in the state, “with sanctuary city policies, have actively defied federal immigration law and the will of the people.”
“As a result of that… defiance, two Minnesotans have now tragically lost their lives on the streets of Tim Walz’s state,” she added, referring to Renee Good and Alex Pretti.

Trump says Homan will meet with Minneapolis mayor on Tuesday
President Donald Trump confirmed Monday that he spoke with Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey amid heightened tensions over federal immigration enforcement operations, and said border czar Tom Homan will meet with Frey on Tuesday.
Protests in the city escalated earlier this month after the fatal shooting of a protester who was allegedly attempting to ram the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer over with her car. Another protester was killed over the weekend.
Trump told Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz and Frey in separate calls that Homan will visit the city to represent the administration starting Monday, which comes after Vice President JD Vance visited the area last week.

Democrats Are Willing To Die To End Deportations. That Can’t Stop Law Enforcement
Some Republican leaders in Congress are finally catching on: When it comes to protecting their years-long project to import destitute foreigners for the purpose of beefing up their share of voters, Democrats are playing for keeps, fatally.
Another person was killed while interfering with immigration law enforcement operations in Minneapolis. Authorities on Saturday shot Alex Pretti, 37, after a struggle in the middle of a street, during which Pretti can be seen confronting and video recording ICE agents. He died on the scene, according to law enforcement, and he was found to have been in possession of a gun.
Separate witness recordings of the incident make what exactly unfolded in those few seconds woefully unclear, other than that video shows an agent spraying Pretti with an irritant and Pretti for some reason grabs a woman who had been shoved by an agent. There’s a pile-on with Pretti hunched over on the ground, and an agent can be heard yelling, “Gun!” That’s when an agent who had drawn his own firearm apparently discharged multiple shots.

Notre Dame [South Bend] Sees Record Number of Converts Preparing to Join Catholic Church
Before his freshman year at the University of Notre Dame, the only time Alex Huang had ever set foot in a church building was for a piano recital. Now, the first-year student from Minnesota is just months away from becoming Catholic.
Raised by parents who never considered practicing religion due to their upbringing in atheist China, Huang became curious about Catholicism while in high school and is now a part of Notre Dame’s Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA). He hopes to enter the Catholic Church at the upcoming Easter vigil, and he says that Notre Dame’s Catholic atmosphere is a big reason why he plans on taking the plunge.
“I went to a public high school, where nobody really talked about their religion,” he said. “But when I got to Notre Dame, people would mention their faith all the time, and that was super jarring — not in a negative way, but really interesting and new to me.”
He’s not the only one at the South Bend, Indiana, university who is discerning becoming Catholic. This year, Notre Dame’s OCIA program boasts a record number of participants. In total, 76 students are enrolled, including 42 catechumens, 12 candidates for full communion, and 22 Catholic candidates for confirmation.

How the Charlotte ‘Dubia’ May Impact Liturgy Disputes Beyond North Carolina
At the heart of the matter is a local bishop’s authority to restrict or prohibit liturgical practices that are otherwise permitted by the Church’s universal law.
When a group of Charlotte priests asked the Vatican earlier this month to weigh in on their bishop’s prohibition of altar rails and kneelers during Communion, it marked the latest development in the ongoing controversy surrounding Bishop Michael Martin’s leadership of the diocese.
But the Charlotte dubia could also have implications for liturgical disputes well beyond western North Carolina.
At the heart of the matter is a local bishop’s authority to restrict or prohibit liturgical practices that are otherwise permitted by the Church’s universal law. Some argue that there are unanswered questions in this area and see the Charlotte dubia as an important “test case.”
