Pope Leo mourns those killed in attack on Catholic church by ISIS-backed rebels

Pope Leo XIV mourned those killed in the violent attack on a Catholic church in the Congo on Sunday by Islamic State-backed rebels.

The pontiff expressed sympathy and regret over the murders and wished for peace in the region. The attack left 43 people dead, according to a United Nations representative.

“His Holiness Pope Leo XIV learned with dismay and deep sorrow of the attack perpetrated against the Parish of Blessed Anuarite in Komanda,” said Cardinal Pietro Parolin, reportedly sent in a telegram message on the pope’s behalf to Archbishop Fulgence Muteba Mugalu, president of the Congolese Bishops’ Conference.

“His Holiness implores God that the blood of these martyrs may become a seed of peace, reconciliation, fraternity, and love for the entire Congolese people,” the telegram read.

Trump admin issues new guidance to protect religious expression across federal workforce

Federal agencies are now required to protect religious expression in the workplace, according to a new government-wide memo obtained by Fox News Digital on Monday—marking one of the most sweeping moves in decades to defend faith and freedoms in the civil service.

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) on Monday sent guidance to federal agencies across the Trump administration, detailing the new requirements, which ensure federal workers can display Bibles, crucifixes, or mezuzahs on their desks; pray in groups while off-duty; invite colleagues to church; and speak about their religious beliefs, even to the public, without fear of reprisal.

New attack on West Bank Christian village of Taibeh

Despite the recent visit of the heads of the Christian Churches on July 14, followed by that of U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, violence against the Palestinian Christian village of Taibeh has continued unabated.

The only entirely Christian Palestinian village in the region was once again the target of an attack during the night between Sunday, 27 July and Monday.

Patriarchs and Heads of the Local Churches of Jerusalem issue statement condemning recent attack by Israeli settlers on Christians in Taybeh

In the statement the religious leaders call out “unambiguous act of intimidation,” “ongoing assaults” and “a disinformation campaign aimed at discrediting the attacks on Christians.”

“We, the Patriarchs and Heads of Churches in Jerusalem, express our profound concern and unwavering condemnation following yet another violent assault that targeted the West Bank Christian town of Taybeh. Several vehicles were set ablaze, and hateful graffiti was sprayed—an unambiguous act of intimidation directed at a peaceful and faithful community rooted in the land of Christ.

This grievous incident is not an isolated occurrence. It forms part of an alarming pattern of settler violence against West Bank communities, including their homes, sacred spaces, and ways of life. Only days ago, settlers forcibly entered Taybeh, herding livestock into the heart of the town. Masked individuals—some armed, others on horseback—roamed the streets, spreading terror and threatening the sanctity of daily life. Fire reached the very walls of the ancient church, a living testament to the Christian faith’s enduring presence in the Holy Land. …

German priest announces disaffiliation from Catholic diocese over its support of same-sex unions

A Catholic priest in Germany has publicly announced that he is no longer affiliated with his diocese, stating that its support of Fiducia supplicans and same-sex unions influenced his decision.

The Catholic Herald reported that Father Winfried Abel, an 86-year-old priest in the Diocese of Fulda, has chosen instead to call himself a “priest of the Roman Catholic Church.” Fulda Bishop Michael Gerber supports women’s ordination, married priests, and blessing same-sex couples, while the diocese has expressed support for pride parades and same-sex unions on its website.

Catholic Man Was Brutally Assaulted Outside Planned Parenthood. His Attacker Hasn’t Been Held Accountable

Radical abortion activists love to call pro-life people violent, and to treat them as such under the law. But experience proves that just the opposite is true.

Bryan Kemper, Priests for Life’s coordinator of street activism, has been in the thick of it since the rescue movement began in the 1980s.

“I’ve been punched and beaten in front of abortion mills more times than I can count,” Kemper said. “I’ve had guns pulled on me twice. I’ve had cops hit me with Billy clubs.”

Federal judge orders government to keep funding Planned Parenthood, despite new law

A federal judge blocked a provision in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act that was aimed at defunding Planned Parenthood and ordered the federal government to resume Medicaid reimbursements to the abortion giant while litigation over the law continues.

The legislation, signed by President Donald Trump on July 4, included a one-year freeze on some abortion facilities receiving Medicaid reimbursements for non-abortive services. Judge Indira Talwani ruled on Monday, July 28, that the provision likely targets Planned Parenthood, which violates the Constitution.

Ratcliffe Signals It’s Not Too Late To Prosecute Ongoing Russia Collusion Conspiracy

CIA Director John Ratcliffe indicated that it may not be too late to prosecute players in the Russia collusion hoax on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo.

“There is no doubt in my mind that the people that we just talked about conspired. They conspired against President Trump, they conspired against the American people. … I don’t think statute of limitations are going to impact, because in a conspiracy, Maria, the statute of limitation doesn’t start to run out until the last act in furtherance of that conspiracy, and, Maria, part of why this is so important is that the people behind this are still furthering the conspiracy,”

Tulsi Gabbard’s Russia Hoax Release Vindicates the Late George Neumayr

The same shill media that for months described opposition research bought by Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign as an “intelligence dossier” now describes Tulsi Gabbard’s unraveling of that tangled web the Obama administration helped weave as a “conspiracy theory.”

That’s rich. The people who acted as uncritical boosters of one of the most widely believed, and most damaging, conspiracy theories in American history call the woman who shined sunlight on squirreled-away government documents about all that the conspiracy theorist.

I like to think that one man laughs heartily in his grave over all this.

George Neumayr, a happy warrior, exposed within the first weeks of the first Trump administration so much of what Gabbard so recently confirmed. One of the great reporters in the history of The American Spectator died in Africa before he got to cover a second Trump administration — and see his reporting from 2017 vindicated.

Globalists everywhere are howling. And UNESCO’s leadership is fuming. … boasting that despite the withdrawal, it intends to continue working with other “partners” in America.

These “partners” include state and local education agencies, textbook publishers, “EdTech” purveyors, institutions of “higher learning,” and much more. The group also said the U.S. government will be welcome back again when ready.

NYC gunman ID’d as Shane Tamura after deadly shooting that killed NYPD officer

The maniac gunman who killed four people at a Midtown office building on Monday evening was identified as a mentally ill 27-year-old Las Vegas man who drove across the country into the city just hours before the bloody rampage.

Shane Tamura — who had “a documented mental health history” — was named as the shooter who stormed 345 Park Ave., a swanky, 44-floor building, and opened fire, killing one police officer and three civilians before turning the gun on himself, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said Monday night.

Tamura — who worked as a security guard at a Vegas casino — double-parked a vehicle with Nevada plates outside the office building before storming it with a rifle in plain view, according to cops and photos from the scene.

As jihadists advance, 30% of Niger’s Catholics have fled their villages

Father Mauro Armanino, SMA, a missionary in Niger, estimated that 15,000 of the nation’s 50,000 Catholics have fled their villages in the wake of a jihadist advance.

“Being forced to abandon their lands is very humiliating for them,” the priest told the Vatican newspaper. “They are farmers accustomed to providing for their own sustenance: now, seeing themselves sporadically assisted as displaced persons, they find it demeaning. For this reason, some, when they can, return to their villages, even risking their lives.”
