Federal judge dismisses James Comey, Letitia James indictments
A federal judge threw out the indictments against James Comey and Letitia James on Monday, finding they were illegitimate because they were brought by an unqualified U.S. attorney.
Judge Cameron Currie dismissed the false statements charges against Comey and bank fraud charges against James without prejudice, meaning the charges could be brought again.
“I conclude that the Attorney General’s attempt to install Ms. [Lindsey] Halligan as Interim U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia was invalid and that Ms. Halligan has been unlawfully serving in that role since September 22, 2025,” Currie wrote.

Admin to Review All Refugees Admitted Under Biden: AP
The Trump administration plans a review of all refugees admitted to the U.S. during the Biden administration, according to a memo obtained Monday by The Associated Press. …
The memo, dated Friday, said that during the Biden years “expediency” and “quantity” were prioritized over “detailed screening and vetting” and that warranted the comprehensive review and “re-interview of all refugees admitted from January 20, 2021, to February 20, 2025.” …
The Biden administration admitted 185,640 refugees from October 2021 through September 2024. Refugee admissions topped 100,000 last year, with the largest numbers coming from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Afghanistan, Venezuela and Syria.

Notre Dame Walks Back Effort To Water Down Religious Values After Backlash
The University of Notre Dame is fully walking back changes to its staff values after major backlash over the school watering down its historic Catholic mission.
The Catholic university on Nov. 10 replaced staff values that required employees to understand and accept “the Catholic mission of the university” with generic concepts such as “treat every person with dignity and respect” and “work together.” Notre Dame is now reaffirming its “commitment to our Catholic mission” by adding an entirely new value centered around faith, saying that they received “constructive feedback” indicating the decision was “confusing.”

Nigerian President Faces Calls to Resign at Home over anti-Christian Jihad
The main opposition party in Nigeria, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) demanded on Sunday that President Bola Tinubu consider resignation if he cannot ensure the safety of Christians in the face on a decade-long jihadist genocide campaign against them. …
The Nigerian government, first under former President Muhammadu Buhari and currently under his protege Bola Tinubu, denies that any such genocide is taking place in Nigeria. Buhari himself has denied any anti-Christian discrimination in the country, calling the violence generic “insecurity.” Nigerian officials with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have repeatedly blamed “climate change” for the jihadist slaughter.

Pope Leo to US youth: Technology cannot replace the gift of human relationship
Pope Leo on Friday encouraged young people to forge authentic relationships, both with Christ and with the people in their lives.
Speaking to a conference of young people in the United States, the pope warned in particular that technology, while useful, can pose a threat when it replaces and weakens genuine human connection.
“There’s nothing that can replace true human presence, being with one another. While technology certainly can connect us, it’s not the same as being physically present. We need to use it wisely without letting it overshadow our relationships,” the pope said.

A Triply Divided Lebanon Anxiously Awaits the New Pope
In 1099, as the Christian army led by a papal legate passed along the rugged coastal road toward Jerusalem, they encountered a strong and friendly people, the Maronite nation, who, as William of Tyre wrote, rendered great service “concerning our many and significant interests with our enemies.”
This moment, during the First Crusade, marks perhaps the most famous early contact between a papal enterprise and what are now the Christians of Lebanon.
These ties would slowly be strengthened through the centuries. The first Franciscans arrived in Beirut in 1200. In 1215, the Maronite Patriarch Jeremiah II al-Amshiti attended the important Fourth Lateran Council in Rome and the following year received the pallium from Pope Innocent III. By 1584, the Maronites had their own pontifical college in Rome.
Despite that history of building ties, a week out from Pope Leo XIV’s visit to Lebanon, the country is on edge. …
