Federal Election Commissioner rips Manhattan DA for trying to destroy the Republic

In very clear, concise terms before Congress last week, the much-respected and admired Federal Election Commission member Trey Trainor informed Congress that Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg overstepped his authority in going after President Trump.
Bragg, whose biased prosecution of Trump was his main campaign theme, had no authority as a local DA to prosecute a federal case — setting the stage for perhaps yet another point on appeal for Trump.
Speaking exclusively with SoulsandLiberty.com, Trainor said, "As a Catholic, I find the actions of Alvin Bragg especially disturbing because we must uphold the principle of the rule of law. The law is sovereign and not the arbitrary will of individuals. In fact, the rule of law is a fundamental component of the common good."
Trainor laid out the case that Bragg's action constituted jurisdictional overreach — butting into an area in which he had no authority to do so. A 1971 law passed by Congress awards jurisdiction in pursuing campaign finance violations strictly and exclusively to the Federal Election Commission, period; a fact that Bragg simply dismissed out of hand, blinded by his wicked agenda.
The FEC declined to prosecute the case when it was filed earlier, seeing no substance to it — so for Bragg to twist and bend the rules so severely just to "get Trump" was a "usurping of the jurisdiction that Congress explicitly reserved for federal authorities," Trainor insisted on during his testimony.
The Trump appointee says he is now worried that a troubling precedent has been set "for the politicization of legal proceedings at the state level" (which are the jurisdiction of the Feds).
One major issue, for example, that Trainor laid out was that local and state judges are not schooled properly in federal law and its accompanying processes — pointing to Judge Merchan, who screwed up in his instructions to the jury (perhaps willfully), giving them a different and incorrect standard by which to judge the case.
"Now imagine the 50 states enacting the crime of 'campaigning by unlawful means' and a thousand different state and local prosecutors prosecuting presidents, former presidents, presidential candidates, and any number of candidates for other federal offices under varying interpretations of the FECA by bootstrapping those laws through their state's 'unlawful means' criminal code," Trainor told Congressmen.
The former Chairman of the FEC spared no one on the Left — Bragg, Merchan, and even training his guns on Attorney General Merrick Garland, "… given the clear precedent established by the US Supreme Court regarding the prohibition of state officers prosecuting federal crimes, it is perplexing why Attorney General Merrick Garland, and the DOJ, did not intervene in the prosecution of former President Donald Trump."
"The implications of allowing local district attorneys to prosecute based on their interpretations of federal campaign finance laws are profound. Such actions risk eroding the uniformity and predictability that FECA aims to provide."
"This could lead to a fragmented enforcement landscape where political motivations and local biases influence the application of laws meant to govern national elections."
Imagine, however, if Trump does win, there will be no weapon the Communists will not resort to using to usurp his authority — which is why Trump needs to bring a flamethrower with him from Day One.
