Why has the act of genuflecting been neglected in so many Catholic parishes?

Catholics have 'Holy Mass', the sacrifice and memorial of the sacrifice on Calvary of Our Lord Jesus Christ not 'a service.'

Why all the clapping during the sacrifice of the Mass? Is it really the appropriate form of celebration during the time we spend on Calvary?
