Suddenly people all over the country — even those usually not so disposed — are talking about God.

Still reeling over the assassination attempt on Donald Trump one week ago today, they are attesting to God's role in the president's dodging of the deadly bullet in Butler, Pennsylvania.

There's a long litany of various folks — politicians, pastors, artists and feminists — testifying to a miracle.

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FLA), one of the four finalists on Trump's VP list, reacted to the assassination attempt from the floor of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Thursday.

"I don't even want to think about what it would have meant to the country; people would have witnessed a live execution [that] would have been broadcast to the world. The impact would have been horrifying," Rubio said. "The President ... he shouldn't be here right now. He knows that, we know that."

"I don't know of any other way to explain it but the hand of God. We all witnessed a miracle. We literally witnessed a miracle broadcast on national television," he declared.

IT'S BIBLICAL

Ben Carson, neurosurgeon and Trump's former Housing and Urban Development secretary, opened his remarks at the convention by recounting the horror he felt as he watched the attempted assassination unfold.

"I saw President Trump, a dear friend, escape death by mere inches, and my thoughts immediately turned to the book of Isaiah that says, 'No weapon formed against you shall prosper'," Carson said.

"No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.” — Isaiah 54:17

Carson listed the weapons previously wielded against Trump by those seeking to take him out:

"First, they tried to ruin his reputation, and he's more popular now than ever. And then they tried to bankrupt him. And he's got more money now than he had before. And then they tried to put him in prison, and he's freer and has made other people free with him. And then last weekend, they tried to kill him. And there he is over there, alive and well."

Reverend Lorenzo Sewell, pastor of 180 Church in inner-city Detroit, also testified to God's intervention in the life of President Trump at the convention.

The pastor recounted Trump's unprecedented visit to Detroit — "to the hood hood," as the pastor put it — on his birthday, June 14. He said he was impressed Trump chose to spend his birthday in — of all places — Detroit, and also impressed by the president's request for a prayer.

"I believe prayer is preventative and prayer is proactive. I believe praying in the name of Jesus changes everything," Sewell said.

"And when we prayed for President Trump, only God knew that 30 days later there would be a miracle by a millimeter," he noted. "Only God knew that if we prayed for him during his birthday, there would be a miracle by a millimeter."

Addressing specifically his "friends in Detroit who are Democrats," the pastor had "just one simple question"

"You can't deny the power of God on [Trump's] life. You can't deny God protected him. You cannot deny that it was a millimeter miracle that was able to save this man's life. Could it be that Jesus Christ preserved this man for such a time as this?"

Likewise, Tucker Carlson's 11-minute speech — like so many others at the convention — transcended mere political verbiage endorsing the Republican candidate at hand.

There was something about Tucker's words that spoke to the holy process of saving souls — and not just each soul individually, but the collective soul of America.

He spoke not just about divine intervention in Donald Trump's life, but God's intervention in everyone's life; and right there, at the site of this political convention in Milwaukee, the conservative political commentator went a step further — he spoke about God.

"I watched the video of what happened in Butler, Pennsylvania about 1550 times," Tucker recalled. "I think I was one of about 8 billion people around the world who watched it."

"And the more I watched it, the more it struck me that everything was different," he said. "After that moment, everything, this convention is different; the nation is different, the world is different. Donald Trump is different."

"When he stood up after being shot in the face bloodied, and put his hand up. I thought at that moment that was a transformation," the former Fox News host explained. "This was no longer a man. ... I think it was divine intervention — but the effect that it had on Donald Trump — he was no longer just a political party's nominee or a former president or a future president. This was the leader of a nation."

Tucker said that to him, what has been happening over the past month since the debate, particularly last Saturday in Butler, "doesn't look like politics, something bigger is going on here."

"I think even people who don't believe in God are beginning to think, well, maybe there's something to this actually. And I'm starting to think, I'm starting to think it's going to be OK.
I'm not always convinced that I'm on the right side — I've been on the wrong side many times. You'll never hear me say I'm on God's side or God's with me or even I'm with God — I wanna be [but] not sure I am.
But I will say this unequivocally and conclusively — God is among us right now."

'THE MOMENT GOD INTERVENED'

An American artist and speed painter, Vanessa Horabuena, also reacted to what she calls "the evidence that God is with President Trump."

After the assassination attempt, she began painting a large canvas with the iconic image of a resilient Trump — surrounded by bodyguards, and blood on his face — rousing Americans to carry on the fight even after he was shot.

At the top of the painting, she painted the words "We the People," the first three words of the Preamble to the United States Constitution.

Horabuena says the artwork "is going straight to President Trump once it is finished," adding,

"What we witnessed was nothing short of a miracle. It was the clear evidence that God is with President Trump! So, instead of mourning a loss, we see that we were given the protection not of secret service ... but of the Lord!
Let our hearts rejoice and never forget this moment. The moment God intervened and saved President Trump! A man who didn't cower and crawl off stage, but instead, stood to his feet and reached out and called God's people to fight! We are in a battle for this nation!"

"We fight not against flesh and blood, but against principalities of darkness! And we see them! They are being exposed and brought to light," the artist said. "They are terrified because a man is raising up the roar of the people of God, and with the Lord, we will not fail."

OUR LADY OF FATIMA'S INFLUENCE

Many are suggesting that the Mother of God played a role in Trump's fateful week, as well.

Trump was shot on July 13, the exact day that Our Lady of Fatima appeared to the three visionary children Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia in Fatima, Portugal in 1917.

During this visit, Our Lady revealed a terrifying vision of Hell to alert the children of the importance of praying and doing penance for people who have strayed from God's ways.

This year, July 13 fell on a Saturday, traditionally the day of the week dedicated to Mary for Catholics.

Trump's surviving an assassination attempt is reminiscent of Pope St. John Paul II's survival after a gunman took aim at his heart in 1981. The pontiff was spared on May 13, another anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima's apparitions to the children.

The pope was to have said after his recovery: "The gunman fired the gun, but Mary guided the bullet."

Exactly one year after being shot, the pope visited the apparition site in Fatima. He had the bullet that struck him placed in the crown atop the head of the statue of Mary at Her famous shrine in Portugal. The sainted pope was quoted as saying in prayer to Mary, "You saved me, you saved me."

Others are noting another interesting fact — across the street from the Butler fairgrounds, where Trump was shot, is an outdoor grotto dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima and the visionaries. The statue of Our Lady faces directly toward the site of the rally and the shooting.

The connection between Our Lady and Trump was not lost on Dr. Naomi Wolf, a secular Jew who some have observed may be moving toward Christianity.

The 61-year-old Wolf is a renowned feminist, and the author of works lauded by Gloria Steinem and Betty Friedan. However, in recent years, she seems to have embarked on an ideological shift of sorts. Though a liberal, Wolf has refused to follow her colleagues over the leftist cliff. During the pandemic, she became famous for her heroic work fighting COVID tyranny. Today, she even serves as an occasional presenter for Steve Bannon's "War Room" podcast.

Earlier this week, there came yet another indicator — subtle, but no less remarkable — that grace may be acting upon her. On Wednesday, Wolf posted on X:

"Since everything is weird and clearly a battle between angels and demons at this point, I note a reader reminded me that July 13 was also the third Fatima apparition of Mother Mary, with many geopolitical warnings inviting us to get right morally or face awful times."

"Make of that what you will," she reflected.

'SOMETHING IN THE AIR'

Sean Parnell, a retired US Army Infantry captain who served in combat during the Afghan War and who was present at the Butler rally, said there was something ethereal about the day.

The host of the popular "Battleground" podcast said, "[T]here was something in the air. I mean, call me crazy, or whatever, but there was something different about that day."

He said that since then, many of his followers have been sending him images of the flag above the podium where Trump spoke. The wind had blown it and "kind of got it tangled."

"The different angles [of the flag] just convinced me that there was something going on. It was surreal. Call it an omen. Say it was something spiritual. I don't know [but] it looked like an angel."

Many saw in the image of the flag tangled in the wind the shape and powerful wings of an angel; some said it was the image of St. Michael the Archangel, as though he were that day protecting the president.

Add to that sign — or wonder — in Butler that the fourth night of the convention in Milwaukee was gaveled in with the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel, a prayer faithful Catholics know by heart:

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.

May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,

and do thou,

O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God,

thrust into hell Satan,

and all the evil spirits,

who prowl about the world

seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Whenever has St. Michael been implored publicly at a US national convention, social media users asked; some deemed the recitation of the prayer itself at the convention a "mini-miracle."

BLOOD ON THE EAR — SIGN OF CONSECRATION?

There has even been talk online pointing out that twice in the Bible, blood on the right ear is said to be a sign of consecration and service to God.

In the Old Testament, the concept of blood on the right ear served as a visible mark of consecration, signifying that the person was now dedicated to God's service and set apart for a specific purpose.

This act represents both a physical and spiritual transformation, preparing the individual for their sacred role.

Leviticus (8:22-24) reads:

"Then [Moses] brought forward the second ram, the ordination ram and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.

When [the ram] was slaughtered, Moses took some of its blood and put it on the lobe of Aaron's right ear ...

Moses had the sons of Aaron also come forward, and he put some of the blood on the lobes of their right ears ... The rest of the blood he splashed on all the sides of the altar."

Exodus (29:19-10, 44) reads similarly:

"[T]ake [a second] ram, and when Aaron and his sons have laid their hands on its head,

slaughter it. Some of its blood you shall take and put on the tip of Aaron's right ear ... Splash the rest of the blood on all the sides of the altar.

Thus I will consecrate ... consecrate Aaron and his sons to be my priests."

When [the ram] was slaughtered, Moses took some of its blood and put it on the lobe of Aaron's right ear ...

The right ear represents hearing and obedience. In ancient times, the right ear was considered the most important ear, because it was the ear that heard the word of God.

Trump accepted the 2024 Republican nomination with his right ear bandaged, covering the wound of what some suggest is a consecration of sorts.

Blood on the right ear serves as a visible mark of consecration.

There have been many more signs and wonders speaking to God's intervention in these past days, just as were revealed in the lives of the Israelites of the Old Testament.

Doubtless more are to be revealed to us as the end times' ongoing battle between good and evil rages in the world, in the nation and in our souls.

I believe that the Blessed Mother and Saint Michael were present and protected Mr. Trump.

however I know that over 8 years of rosaries also helped, Whether guiding his thoughts or protecting his life.

Now we see that the failed angel of darkness has sacrificed another chess piece and brought Karnal-mella into play. The chess pieces we have are the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet. The Queen and the King.

God was sending us a clear message last week. He wants us to work with Pres. Trump, to help bring America back from the brink of destruction. Prayer is essential right now, as we meander through the battle of good vs evil. May God bless all of us.
